Geonei-A Detected but Can't Clean Up

Quarantine Manager indicates a threat on my Macintosh: Geonei-A.
However the "Clean Up Threat" button in Sohos is greyed out and not clickable.
The "lock" icon in the lower left of the Quarantine Manager ("Click the lock to make changes.") can not be unlocked. The "Action Available" message in the window states: The threat could not be cleaned up without authentication.
It can be cleaned up if you authenticate as an administrator."
Sorry but I don't know how to authenticate as an administrator. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Quit the program, and open Sophos Anti-Virus from the Applications window in Finder. Then try and authenticate again - clicking the padlock will prompt for the same password you enter when installing software and unlock System Preference panels.
I'd recommend looking at the path and see if it mentions a Time Machine backup, email attachment, or is blank. Depending on where the item is SAV may have been able to 'read' the file and detect it, but can't access the folder to delete.

Are you Windows? Try disconnecting the device and reconnecting. Use a different USB port and make sure you are using a port on the computer - not a port on a hub.

Doublechecking. Have you tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

Portege R600 - SD Cards detected but can't browse or format

I have problem on my Portege R600-10U (Windows 7 Ultimate) with SD card reader. When I put SD card in to the slot it is detected by the system but I can not brows it nor I can do format.
I did installation of RICOH_Media_Driver_v2.07.01.00 from Toshiba support site but when I check driver for SD card reader it is showing some default generic driver from Microsoft.
Also I am not sure if that is important, but I can see sd reader on the list of devices only when I put card in to the card reader.
I even tried to do manual installation of driver by selecting extracted content of carc-20091103162555.zip (RICOH_Media_Driver_v2.07.01.00 folder) but windows didn't found any appropriate inf files in it.
Am I missing something, are there any prerequisite before I do installation of card reader driver or maybe card reader it self is not working properly.

I am trying to use Kingston class 4 SDHC with 4GB capacity. A far as I know r600 should be able to read it without any problem. Card it self is ok since I use it in my camera.
I don't have any warnings on device list with or without Ricoh media driver installed. When you check SD Host Adapters, you can see SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller and driver provider is Microsoft.
Problem is I am not sure where to look in order to see if Ricoh drivers are used and not some Microsoft default driver.

Satelite M300-D4316 - wireless network detected but can't connect

Previously I could use wireless LAN on my laptop but last week since I registered a bluetooth connection, wireless connection doesn't function anymore.
It can still detect wireless network around me; I fail every time when I try to connect, & it asks me to diagnose the problem & says something like 'signal is too weak'.
I'm pretty sure that it's not the problem of the wireless service- all my friends can connect to it!
What should I do?

Maybe the Wireless LAN was toggled off?
Try pressing Fn+F8 to toggle the Wireless Devices.
Also ensure the Wireless Switch is turned on at the front/side of the notebook.

After MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS of troubleshooting this problem (for days) another poster fixed her problem in a discussion she had started. It immdeiately fixed mine too. Instead of only uninstalling iTunes, uninstall EVERY Apple program on your computer. Go to Control Panel/Add-Remove programs. In the list of programs, click the "Publisher" column at the top to sort by publisher name. Then uninstall ALL of the Apple programs, including Bonjour, Application Support, Apple Applcation Support, etc. (They will all come back when you reinstall iTunes.)
Restart your computer, then reinstall iTunes. Like magic my Nano was repsonding like the good old days. It is happily staying connected and charging right now.

Ipod nano is detected but not identified

I have an ipod nano 3rd generation that works fine on my Macbook Pro laptop, but when I plug it in to my Dual 800MHz PowerPC G4, (it's an early classic stack), the computer tells me an ipod has been detected but can not identify it, and tells me to unplug and replug in, which doesn't do any good. The icon shows up on the desktop for a few brief seconds and then dissapears. I have Tiger 10.4.11 and have upgraded my USB port to a 2.0. Help Please...

To troubleshoot this issue where you're getting the error "An iPod has been detected but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again," please follow the directions in the article below. There are some more steps to go through in addition to uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.

You can try an alternative.
This is the quickest thing that came to mind, but if you want to wipe it with no care of the data on the device at all:
Place device in recovery mode (turn off device > hold home button + plug in to iTunes (WHILE HOLDING BUTTON)).
iTunes will give you an error saying it detected a device in recovery mode, you need to restore to use device. Restoring device is a factory reset. AKA a wipe of the device

You can't downgrade the iOS level.
Try using Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

ITunes.. can't detect my iPhone.. well can but can't identify it.

Hello, I just recently bought an iPhone. I have a touch, which works fine.
iTunes says that the iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and re-connect the iPhone and try again.
I re-connected 5 times and it kept doing that. If it helps iTunes takes forever to load and sync with with my ipod products.

K so.. I ran a diagnostics test, it can't sync and the iPhone cannot be found, though it's connected. So nothing works, I've re-installed iTunes and every component and restarted, meaning I can't do anything else, and therefore I'm screwed.
If someone with any wit of intelligence/Wisdom could help me with this, that'd be great.

Trying to clean Automatic Feeder glass but can't get to it

I like many have lines running through my copies when I use the automatic document feeder. I have followed all the steps on the HP support page so please DO NOT LINK IT.
I have wiped the rollers and the paper seperator, but when I go to clean the thin strip of glass for the feeder I can't pull up the black box that covers it as the video shows. It's stuck, I've looked to see if something is blocking it or I have to push something but can't open it and don't want to break it.
Is there some magical button you press to open it. I know that the smudge must be on that portion of glass because scanning it from the full sheet works, as well as printing, and faxing.
Any help would be appreciated

Do you have the Firefox new tab page but the actual sites are missing, or do you have some other page?
If you have some different page, try the quick fix in Fred McD's reply.
If the sites are missing, did you use the Reset feature? That will clear the storage associated with the new tab page. I'm not sure it's possible to recover from that; you probably need to rebuild your page from scratch as you browse.
For possible future reference, here is how to access the hidden setting for the page to display on new tabs:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter your preferred page:
* ''Page thumbnails (default)'' => about:newtab
* ''Blank tab'' => about:blank
* ''Built-in Firefox home page'' => about:home
* ''Any other page'' => full URL to the page
Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?
