Georgian font for Mac OS X

I saw archived posts from 2007 about Georgian Language packs. Now I can't find good Georgian fonts for my Mac Air. People have recommended fonts.ge, but those fonts don't work on my MAC.
Please help!

  • How can i install more korean fonts for mac book pro

    Hello
I recently purchased mac book pro.
Where and how can i install more korean fonts for mac book pro?
    thanks guys.

Do you really need more?  OS X comes with quite a few already: Gungseo, HeadlineA, Nanum Brush, Nanum Gothic, NanumMyungjo, Nanum Pen, PCMyungjo, PilGi, AppleGothic, AppleMyungjo
If so, just do a google search for korean unicode fonts.

  • Where do I find Adobe Postscript type 1 font for Mac

I need Adobe Postscript type 1 fonts for a journal figure. Am using a MacBook Pro OS X10.6.8. Searches of multiple internet sites including those that state they have Postscript type 1 to download has not indentified available software.

What would you do with legacy Type 1 fonts that you couldn't do with OpenType/ TrueType fonts? As far as any programs are concerned, it makes no difference whatsoever for font rendering... You really need to explian better what you are trying to achieve rather than chasing phantoms on the Internet...

You need to enable a Persian keyboard. This will tell you how
    <http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/keyboards/mackey.html>
Mac OS X comes with three different Persian keyboards. Enable them all, try them out, see which one you prefer. (You can also install a different one, if you choose.) Then use the Geeza Pro font to begin with.
There are quite a few other resources, which you can find by googling. I suggest a closer look at Mellel

It's an excellent Mac word processor; moreover, it was designed specifically for RTL languages.
I also suggest checking the Iranian Mac User Forum, where you are likely to find more specific advice

  • Adding font for 9.0.4

I'm trying to add a font to a mac version 9.0.4. I've tried multipe ways of installing the font. I've placed the font in the fonts folder, placed the font in the system folder and the mac doesn't recognize it as a font. Its a post script font that should work on this verions of the mac. Can anyone think of something that i am overlooking? The font name is Din Schriften

    Hi, pcguy2 -
    Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
A postscript font for Mac OS 9 and earlier comes in two parts - a postcript file, also referred to as a printer font; and a suitcase, which contains at least one bit mapped font file (usually several are included). Both of those items, the postscript file and the suitcase, must be placed in the Fonts folder in System Folder; both must be loose, not contained inside any additional folder.
Article #11909 - Fonts: Bitmap, PostScript, and TrueType Compared
In addition the postscript font file's name must not be altered. It is linked to the bitmapped file it supports by its name. The name of a suitcase can be changed without affecting the usability of the fonts it contains.
More importantly, perhaps, is that the postscript font (any font, for that matter), must be specifically a Mac type font, in a format suitable for use with OS 9 - a font copied from OSX or a PC will usually not work.

  • How do you increase the font size to bigger than 24, using the typewriter tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac?

How do you increase the font size to bigger than 24, using the typewriter tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac?   Often I just want to label an item on a map that is in PDF and want to use a simple label rather than a Text Box for labeling, but have yet to find a way to increase the font size beyond 24.   Can someone help me with this? - JML

  • Font compatibility with Office (for Mac and Windows)

    Hi,
Despite extensive searching, I'm struggling with a font compatibility issue between my Mac and my colleagues' PCs. The main points in order:
The fonts work correctly on both my Mac and other PCs.
The font in question is HelveticaNeueLT Std, rolled up into which are several different weights. The files are OTF files. The same files install without any problems on all the computers in question (and show up in Font Book). And the font can be used successfully:
    - in Keynote, I select Helvetica Neue LT Std, and underneath choose whichever weight I want
    - on PCs, the font and weight can be selected from the drop-down list in MS Office.
    - in Office for Mac 2016 (Preview), I cannot select the font from the drop-down list, but can hit Cmd+T, and then select the appropriate font and weight under 'Latin text font'. What is odd is that in the dropdown list, only a particular weight/typeface is shown:
As this is a preview version, I wouldn't expect Office to work perfectly just yet...
When a file is created on a PC, it works fine on my Mac.
Every file I have attempted to open that was created on a PC, and using these fonts, works fine. The fonts display correctly (i.e. including the correct weights), and I can work with the document without any problems. The only odd bit: sometimes in the dropdown box on my Mac it then says (null):
Whereas at other times, the font name shows correctly:
Both of those examples were created using the 'Thin' weight of HelveticaNeueLt Std. I can't see any pattern as to what causes this inconstency.
The problem is that what I create on my Mac shows incorrectly on a PC.
If I create anything using Office 2016 or Keynote, selecting the preferred weight as described above, it shows just fine on my Mac. But when I send the PPTX file to a PC, all weights look identical (it looks as though the PC has just displayed everything in a standard weight). This is the problem I am trying to solve.
To try to get around this, I tried the process of removing the Helvetica/Helvetica Neue .dfont files that come with the Mac - but this didn't work and caused several other problems. Besides, the font I'm trying to get to use as intended has a different name.
All help would be greatly appreciated - my thanks in advance.
    John

Thanks Kappy and apologies if it is inappropriate - but just to clarify, my main question is whether fonts used in Keynote should be compatible with other software (in this case Office running on Windows). The Office for Mac Preview is a bit of a red herring but I thought it should be mentioned.
I tried to clarify my first post, but it didn't work. What I wanted to add was simply whether Keynote handles fonts in a way that other pieces of software struggle to read - despite the font itself working perfectly in both environments.

  • I've been working with documents in pages and recently downloaded word for mac. i open the pages documents and they appear to be corrupt. at least, a lot of the font is now in weird boxed pictures. what do i do?

I've been working with documents in Pages and recently downloaded Word for Mac. Upon opening Pages documents with Pages, the documents appear corrupt. Much of the font has been replaced with boxed little pictures - yet they are identified as times new roman. What do I do?

  • Word 2011 for Mac - problems with font color

After reading others' problems with Word, I feel lucky I've got only this small one: I can't change the color of fonts! When I click the arrow next to the Colored A, I get a blank menu! I've found a few others with this problem on the web, but no clear, simple solutions. Anybody got one? I'd really appreciate it!

  • How do I change the Attribution font size for Outlook for Mac

    Outlook For Mac assistance.
I have gone into the settings menu and properly set up my font and style for correspondence (Preferences-Fonts), the issue I have is that when I reply or forward a message, the Attribution (To, From, Subject,
Date) etc... from the sender defaults to a much larger 24 size/ Verdana.  I can manually highlight and then change this to match my settings of a 16 - Calibri but this is a hassle.  I have tried to alter this via the Preferences for E-mail (Composing)
and  while option three gives a Name, Date, Address option (sans the Subject) Attribution, the second desired standard option does not include font or style changes.  This is of course the HTML option which is preferable to me.
How can I set the default of option two to match my other font and/or style preferences?

  • Font problem in Kindle for Mac

I am having a dastardly problem with the Kindle for Mac software. The text gets compressed into a single black blotch of text.
(See this image for a screen shot: http://flic.kr/p/9r6kqw
I am at a loss. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have validated all my fonts. I have requested help from Amazon and they threw in the towel (albeit very politely).
If anyone has had a similar problem and was able to resolve it, I welcome your insights.
    Many thanks,

Aha! Both Georgia and Trubechet were missing from my system.
I installed them from another computer in the house and -- tada -- the fonts in Kindle for Mac are rendering properly.
Tom - you are my hero today. I can't tell you how many hours I have been fiddling with this problem. Thank you for helping me get it resolved.

  • Font Problem in Mail after installation of Office 2008 for Mac

Since I installed my 2008 Office for Mac I have had occasional problems with the font display in IMail. Sometimes the fonts are just gibberish but will become readable again if/when I change the font sizing. Any suggestions? When I installed Office 2008 I had previously deleted the Trial Version of Office for Mac 2004 and the installer for Office 2008 did not find any prior Office installation.
    Thanks

Download Font Nuke. Close all other applications you may have running.
Run Font Nuke and click on the "Nuke Font Caches" button at the upper left. The panel will fill with other choices. At the lower right, first click "Update Caches List". It will search your hard drive for font cache files and list them. The purpose being simply so you can see what is about to be removed. Click the "Nuke Font Caches" button at the bottom right. Your Mac will restart. Don't attempt to stop the restart. You should always restart immediately after removing any cache files.
