German iTunes - Movies synchronized !

So... finally, movies has come to the german iTunes. Thats about time if you ask me and very welcomed
Only, as far as I can see (correct me if I'm wrong) , almost all the movies are presented in synchronized version only. I have found a few english films that had both german and english but that was just a few.
I cannot stand synchronized movies and I find it such a pity that you cannot purchase the movies in original language with subtitles. If I want watch a french movie I want to see it in french with subtitles. Goes for every language really.
Any hope that iTunes germany will introduce films with original language and subtitles anytime soon?
Since I cannot purchase from any other store outside germany without having a credit card and address in that country (stupid if you ask me), I guess I have to stick to the god old DVD for now where I can choose to purchase a movie with more languages and subtitles.

  • HT3069 How to change the language for movies rented at German iTunes, watching in Denmark?

I live in Denmark, but my iTunes account is in Germany. Furthermore I want to watch movies in English. Can I buy / rent movie from German iTunes and somehow change the language to english or other? I prefer to watch movies in an original language..
    Thanks for help!

I know this is almost a year old, but I'd like to know the same thing. It seems the answer is that we can't do anything, but I'd rather ask.
I'm from Brazil, living in France for my studies. I wanted to buy a movie, but it's only in french and I prefer the original language, in this case, english. Is it possible to buy a different version, or does the country you're in dictate that?
    Thanks for your time.

  • HT204411 I would like to purchase a movie in English on German iTunes Store, is that possible ?

I'm connected to a German iTunes store as I'm living in Germany now but I would like to buy movies and TV series only in English.
Why is there no possibilty to switch country on iTunes store since each country has different offers ?!
I'm Polish and I would like to purchase Polish movies in Polish language and American movies in English and since I'm living in Germany, I would purchase German movies only in German.
I hope there is or will be a possibilty to switch from country to country as it brings me a huge inconvienience right now.
    Greetings

All content is licensed to Apple by the rights-holders to sell on a country-by-country basis, so all countries have to have thier own stores and you need to be in a country to use its store. If there are films that you would like to be able to buy then you can try leaving feedback for Apple, but unless the rights-holder for Germany agrees to it then Apple won't be able to seel them there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • Original Audio for Movies in the German iTunes Store

    Hey there,
I bought a movie from my german iTunes Acount. Apparently there is no original audi with it. Is there a chance to get the original audio afterwards?

That message is infuriatingly misleading. I'm being told that it is not available in the UK Store but is available in the German Store.  In point of fact it isn't available anywhere.
A number of people have complained recently that it's taking a lot longer than it should for newly accepted podcasts to appear in the Store. If your feed is OK there isn't really anything you can do except wait. You could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com but I'm afraid you will probably just get a form answer telling you how to submit a podcast (which you already know). Your feed appears to be OK.

  • How can I download an app only appearing on the German iTunes store onto my German iPad which is registered in the U.S. iTunes store? G

I am an American living in Germany, and own a German iPad.  It has the ability to connect both to WIFI and to a commercial over the air wireless network. For the latter connection, I want to use a pay by use (by the day, or by the month) account offered by ALDI, a German discount grocery store. This would be ideal for occasional use when away from home.
My iPad is registered with the U.S. iTunes store, so that I can purchase American items such as books, movies, TV serites, etc. in English with U:S: Dollars.
However the ALDI app is not available on the U.S. iTunes store, i.e. it is only available on the German iTunes store.
I have purchased the ALDI SIM card for my iPad, but need the ALDI app in order to make it work.
Yes, I know ALDI has stores in the U.S., but they do not offer the app I need to connect to the applicable German wireless cell phone network that is based in Germany.
I need to find a way to put the German app onto my German iPad, but do not want to switch to the German iTunes store from the American iTunes store.
I could put the SIM card in a smart phone to activate it and also to recharge it with purchased time, but would need to find a way to tell the iPad to connect to the Web via the SIM card.
I have a radio device which holds a SIM card and plugs into the USB port on my Microsoft Windows systuem laptop computer, and it works like a charm.  however, when I set it up, it downloaded software onto my laptop - or maybe only to the SIM card - not sure. To logon, when it is plugged into my laptotp, a program opens and I have to insert a password in order to activate the connection, which uses credit loaded onto the chip.
    Can anybody solve this problem?

You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

  • Buying English Language Products with a German iTunes Account

I want to buy english langauge products (books and films). However because I live in Germany and my iTunes account has a German addresse, etc. iTunes always redirects me to the German iTunes and says I am not allowed to buy from the US or UK iTunes where all the english language content is.
How can I purchase english languge material?

    i share your pain
some movies on the German iTS are offered in english. look for this entry
or, for tv shows (not all, mind you), go to main page for tv show, then do this
this will (or will not) bring up the english version.
as for books, you will have to resort to kindle from Amazon in order to get the original language in Germany. the kindle app for the iPad/iPod Touch is not quite iBooks but @ least you get your english books.

  • When will iTunes movies be available in The Netherlands?

    Hi there,
I know this subject has been discussed before, but I could'nt find any recent discussions. I know it because of the movie industry and not Apple that there are no movies yet on the AppleTV, but does anybody have any idea when movies might be available in The Netherlands?
Around 84% of the Dutch population has access to the internet so this could be an interesting market and worth investing some layers in to make it happen . Does anybody know anything? Are there even discussions going on or should I start looking for alternative ways to rent movies via cable?
    Thanks!
    Mike

Somebody with knowledge of such matters once told me that one should be allowed, according to the EU, to buy films from the British or German iTunes store because of a law on free movement of goods or something.
Hahaha i just reread what i wrote. PLease believe me! I know it isn't written well

  • Can I buy a song from the German iTunes Store while in the U.S.?

I'm from the US and have and buy all my music through the iTunes store. However, there's a song I want only available in the Deutchland iTunes store. It's .99 Euro. Anyone tried doing this? Is it possible? And does it equate to around $1.60 or whatever the exchange rate is? Thanks.

It can be done but it's a pain.
I'm a dual Canadian/US citizen. I move back and forth between the two.
To purchase from itunes in more than one country you need more than one account.
I set up my US account while I was in Canada, so you don't need to be in the Germany to buy from Germany. You do need a German itunes gift card and a mailing address in Germany.
I have a legitimate US address, but to the best of my knowledge the address isn't really verified. I'm not suggesting you do anything dishonest, but when you have ties to two countries residency can be a vague concept.
The really annoying part is itunes, and your ipod, will only recognize one account at a time. I have found that when I sync logged into my Canadian account apps purchased from the American store are disabled, even if they were already on the ipod.
Apple's licensing protection is not unbiased, I haven't yet had any problems when I sync logged into the US store.
Personally I think blocking content you've already purchased violates the consumer's rights.

  • How can I get an itunes movie from macbook to apple tv via airplay, how can I get an itunes movie from macbook to apple tv via airplay

how can I get an itunes movie from macbook to apple tv via airplay?

You don't use Airplay.  You set up Home Sharing on both and under the Computers section of AppleTV you'll then find it under Movies (or Rentals if rented), assuming it's in a compatible format.

  • How can i use Ipad's ITunes movies with Samsung 52 inch LED HDTV LN52B750U1F

Hi there and happy holidays!  I have a LN52B750U1F 52 inch TV and for the first time ever want to play iTunes movies from my iPad on the TV.  I tried reading the manual but it is all gibberish to me - I am a tech idiot.  I plugged the USB into both of the USB ports on the TV from the iPad and the TV recognized the iPad and the pictures, but had No Contect for movies / video.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks!

You can not connect to the USB port on the TV. You need to purchase an AV cable or use a WiFi network and Apple TV to stream the content using AirPlay.
    Here's the HDMI adapter http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A/apple-digital-av-adapter?fnode=3a
Or the composite cable for an alternative conection http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A/apple-composite-av-cable?fnode=3a

  • How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies on to my thumb drive and WD My Passport external hard drive. My Mac keeps saying "can't be copy because it is too large for the volumes format

How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies onto my thumb drive and WD my passport external hard drive. My Mac is saying that can't be copied because it is too large for volumes format

[file] is too large for the volumes format
That is usually an indication that the Volume was never Erased or Partitioned for GUID partition table and Mac OS, and is still in a Windows format.
Mac OS X Extended (journaled) has no such file-size limitations

  • Can I watch an iTunes movie rental on a TV connected via mini displayport?

I'm not sure if there's been any headway with this, but I've got a mini displayport to HDMI adaptor on the way that I'm going to use to connect my MacBook Pro to my HDTV, effectively using the TV as an external monitor.
And of course, I want to watch some iTunes movie rentals on the TV instead of my laptop, but digging around the internet has shown that I might be facing an issue relating to the HDCP standard that would prevent me from being able to use my TV in this manner.
Is this still an issue? I have a fall 2009 MacBook Pro, which may be important, as I've read that Apple modified the mini displayport on the MacBooks in 2010.
Other than renting a movie as a sort of guinea pig with the possibility of being shot down and wasting my money, is there any way to know if this is going to work? Or is it simply a fact that any monitor/TV connected to my MacBook through the mini displayport is incompatible with HDCP, and I'm totally out of luck?
(Which, FYI Apple, is utter horse **** and is absolutely counter-productive to the notion of encouraging me to pay for digital entertainment.)
    What are your thoughts, folks?

If your HDTV is HDCP compliant, you probably will have no problems. But you might want to read this information which while written a while back still, to the best of my knowledge, applies:
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/16488
HDCP compliance is, from what I've read, rather a "rubber ruler" so even if your TV lists as being HDCP, it might or might not work correctly with your Mac. Testing with one movie first might avoid an expensive surprise.
As to your complaint to Apple, it probably wasn't up to Apple but instead was forced on them as part of the conditions by the content owners for licensing movies and shows to the iTunes Store. But feel free to comment to Apple via their feedback pages:

  • How can I move my iTunes movies from my computer to an external hard drive? After I copy them to the drive, do I just delete them from my computer? How will I be able to watch them again?

    Hi,
I have a MacBook Air (July 2013) with the latest Mavericks OS X. I also have the lastest version of iTunes.
My computer has very little memory left, so I wanted to free some up. When I looked, movies were taking up a considerable amount of space. I want to move them from my computer, but still be able to watch them if I want to later. I haven't purchased an external drive yet, because I didn't know what size to get. I also have a lot of Photoshop files that are taking up a lot of memory, so I might put some of those on too. Would you recommend a 1 TB one or bigger?
Can you take me through the exact process of moving my iTunes movies to the external drive? I understand where to find the files (My Name<Music<iTunes Media<Movies), but am stuck from there. Do I simply drag them to the external drive and then delete them? Will this delete them from my iTunes library? How will I go about watching them again? I assumed that I would just plug the external hard drive in, click in the movie and watch. Is it this simple? I only want to move my movies, otherwise I would follow tutorials for backing up the library. Once you back up the movies, can you delete them from your computer?
    Thanks,
    Molly

iTunes does not have provision for automatically storing one kind of media on a separate drive, so you have some basic decisions to make first.  Do you want these movies to still appear in your iTunes library, or are you content with browsing filenames on a drive in Finder when you want to look for one?  The second's the easiest thing because then you don't have to have an external drive permanently turned on and attached to your computer (wired or wireless).  To do that you literelly only need to drag your movies folder to an archive drive and delete movies from iTunes.  To watch them again you can add it back to iTunes while holding down the option key so the movie is used from its location on the external drive.
There's ways to move the movies to an external drive while keeping them in iTunes but the external drive iwll always have to be turned on and connected to the computer or you will see a bunch of broken link exclamation marks.
Realize what you are talking about is not "backup".  Backup (which you should do) is putting a second or more copy of items on external drives for the day when your internal drive fails and everything on it is lost, inclduing all your home photos and perhaps things that have been pulled from the iTunes Store and can no longer be re-downloaded.
