License (EULA) Questions - Photoshop Elements 11
The Photoshop Elements 11 EULA (Gen_WWCombined-en-us-20111219-1230-clean.pdf, page 3, sections 2.1.3 & 2.1.5) states that you "must purchase a separate license for use of the Software on each operating system platform" in a dual boot scenario. My scenario is not a dual boot one, but I do want to run the program on both my Dell Desktop PC (Win 7 Pro) and my Apple MacBook Pro Laptop (OS X 10.7.5). Does that mean I'll have to purchase two licenses as well? If so, is this enforced at the program installation/activation level, or just in the law? Also, why? If the license allows for two installations, why must they be on the same platform?

Yesterday I bought Adobe photoshop elements. I downloaded the Akamai Installer. There is no link to download Elements - and it says my card hasn't been verified..how long does this take? It has been well over 24 hours. Frustrating, my son needed this program today, and I'm about to return it.

Your son can still install the software and run it for free as a fully functioning trial version while you get the serial number issues sorted out.
The software will run for up to 30 days. It will then not operate until you enter a valid serial number. -
Question: Photoshop Elements 6 Icons Lost in Windows

I updated my system with new adobe reader 11 having had 9 before and then loaded some photos. The new photos displayed as full size pictures but I have lost the icons. My existing photos retained their icons and but disappeared as I looked at them. I use Windows xp.
I found some advice that said to change the affinity for the organiser which I did. I also use a shortcut which was another hint. I tried to update thumbnails but although the egg timer started to run, it didn't solve the problem.
I read that this glitch had been updated in elements 7 and have subsequently purchased pse 11. My catalogs have moved across, but without thumbnails.
Any ideas on how to get them back?Have you tried going to:
File >> Reconnect >> All Missing Files

Download US Photoshop Elements 13 Student with German ID
My daughter is a German student, proved by a German student ID card, and wishes to obtain the Photoshop Elements 13/Premiere Elements 13 Student & Teacher bundle. The German edition is not yet available for another couple days, so we thought about obtaining the US download from amazon.com. Question: Will legitimization with a German student ID card work in that situation or will that only create problems?
Geodaisy I would recommend waiting until the proper language/offering is available in your region. If you bought a US Education version it may not be applicable for an individual in Germany.

Do not know about 5, but, just installed PE 6 on I7 64 bit and it works.

I currently have Elements 4. Disappointment because not be able to

Since your main objective is to create DVD slideshows, you should take a
look at ProShow Gold (http://www.photodex.com/products/proshowgold/).
ProShow Gold is designed specifically for making slideshows and gets top
reviews.
Premiere Elements is designed to make digital movies. I've used it to
create create slide shows with excellant results, but, if all you want is
slide shows, ProShow Gold is probably a better bet.
The current version of Premiere Elements is version 3.0 and you can buy it
separately. However, the feature that let's you create a slideshow in
Photoshop Elements and pass it to Premiere Elements 3.0 to burn a DVD only
works with Photoshop Elements 5.0 not 4.0.
Photoshop Elements 4.0 works with Premiere Elements 2.0. If you are using
Photoshop Elements 4.0, you will have to import the slides into Premiere
Elements 3.0 and create the entire slide show there. -

The following may help you understand about deleting photos from a library:
Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library:
1 - from an Event or the Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:
2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc.: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the trash bin as above.
NOTE: deleting a photo from an album, slideshow, book, etc., with only the Delete key only deletes that photo from that item. Deleting a photo from an Event deletes ALL occurences of that photo in the library.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 suddenly switched to German
After using Photoshop Elements 10 for a couple years on my MacBook Pro in English, it suddenly changed to German. I did not reinstall or do anything out of the ordinary. I've double-checked that my System Preferences are still English. How can I change it back to English?

Language is normally set at the time of installation but something definitely went wrong on your system. I don't use MAC so can't help you further. -
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Mac German to English
I downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my Mac and used it a few times and after a month of having it suddenly turned into German. I cannot use it anymore because I cant speak/read or understand Gerrman. How can I bring this back to English. Very unhappy with this.
Uninstall and then reinstall the program.
