Gestion du dock pour groupe de machines

Bonjour,
Voila mon problème : j ai crée un alias sur un client et copié celui-ci dans les applications de mon xserve ...
Lorsque j essaie de l ajouter au dock d un groupe de machines , celui-ci est grisé et je ne peux donc pas l ajouter ... une idée ?

1 : J'ai pas l'impression que tu te relis avant de poster...
2 : Explique "une alim rs232 via une carte Ni6008"
3 : S'il fallait simplement changer le type de communication du vi du précédent stagiaire, tu pouvais partir de son VI.
Car bien qu'il soit "mal fait" / "ressemble à une usine à gaz", il a l'air de bien fonctionner.
Je ne peux pas en dire autant pour ton VI. Certaine action ne vont certainement jamais fonctionner comme tu le veux.
Quelques exemples :
- La définition des propriétés "Maximum" de U début et U fin ne devrait pas être dans la l'événement >"Ajoutez" Valeur changé< car là, ça sera trop tard pour définir ces paramètres.
Il faudrai qu'il soit dans un nouvel événement >"tension Alim max" Valeur changé<
- L'information "Phase" est complétement érronée (ou du moins je pense pas que ça soit ce que tu veux obtenir) car si tu fais une autre action que "Ajoutez", elle incrémente tout de même ensuite...
Ex : si tu appuis sur Supprimer, la phase augmente... normal ?
- La gestion du bouton rampe/continu devrait avoir son propre événement, car la valeur "forcée" de U début ne sera pas prise en compte lorsque tu ajoutera les données dans ton tableau...
Y'en a d'autre...
4 : Pourquoi multiplier par 5 la valeur de U début pour la déviser ensuite par la tension d'alim max ?
Tu as sans doute une explication mais la valeur U début ajouter dans le tableau n'aura pas la même valeur du coup, (pourtant tu l'entêtes toujours U début dans ton tableau !!)
JE pense que si l'on t'as dit que ce VI devrait être plus simple, c'est pas au niveau de la gestion des infos mais simplement parce que tu ne dois pas utiliser la même communication externe pour l'alim.
Bref, ce sont des suppositions quand même.

Managing several groups of machines with Sun update manager.

I have tested the Update Connection with a few machines for a while
and it seems ok, but if I were to move all my machines to using Update Manager then I would need some sort of grouping similar machines together.
Now it looks to me that everything is one big list.
Is there any way to organize machines so test and production is not in the same long list and perhaps servers and desktops are separated? If not I guess I am not the only one missing such a feature..

Assuming you are referring to the systems and how they are grouped/displayed on the Update Connection web portal, there is currently no way to group hosts however it is a feature which is in development for a future release.

Crystal Reports - Two Tables in one report, grouped by machine.

I have two tables for machine schedules. One is a Current Job Table, and the other is a Que Job Table. I do have tables joined to a definition table for the machine name.
Cur Job Table - Def table
Que Job Table - Def table
I want to report the information from the current job table for each 13 machines in sequence. Some machines may have more current jobs than qued jobs.
...Machine 1 (Machine Name)
.....Current Jobs (Cur Job Table)
.....Qued Jobs (Que Job Table)
...Machine 2 (Machine Name)
.....Current Jobs (Cur Job Table)
.....Qued Jobs (Que Job Table)
Etc.
Is there a way to do this easily? I have tried grouping and sub reports. Seems like I end up with duplicate records due to the SQL joins.

Select distinct will not work here, as select distinct checks all fields in the record, and when joining the two detail tables, it will not clear out "duplicates" on only one side of the join.
I would also humbly suggest that using Select Distinct to try to "clean up" a query is rather dangerous. You may end up dropping some data that should appear on the report. (In fact I recently had to fix a report due to this issue - coded by someone else, of course! :->) If you are getting duplicate records and you don't want them, the query should be coded to produce the desired result set WITHOUT the Distinct clause being the reason duplicates are dropped. (This is not to say that select distinct is not useful, or should never be used. If you need a distinct list of customers over a date range, using Select Distinct custcode from sales where date between {?start} and {?end} is perfectly OK.)

PSE 4 Docking and Grouping Palettes together

I'm looking in my manual (page 38)about how to group palettes together and how to dock them together. This whole section seems to be written by someone who hasn't ever really used PSE4.
What is the difference between grouping palettes together and docking palettes together? And how the heck to I do it?
What I want is to have my little palettes with there tabs right next to each other kind of like a filing system so when I click on a tab that is the palette that shows up on top. No need for all the expanding and contracting. That's pretty much how it looked in PSE 2.0.

First of all, drag your palettes out of the bin. Then click the arrow at the upper right of each one and uncheck "close to palette bin.." Then drag the
tab of one palette onto the tab of another one, the same way you can do in PE2. They should combine into one multi-tabbed palette.

SCCM 2007 database query for AD security group for machines

Go to properties of you collection and add a new membership rule to add the security group
SCCM use discovery methods to get information from AD. Make sure AD system discovery and AD security group discovery are enabled for the SCCM site. Once you add machines to the security group, you need to wait till the next discovery cycle is completed.
The discovery cycle runs on a schedule set by SCCM administrator.

Dock visible in Time Machine

Hi,
Does anyone else have a problem with the dock still being visible (it doesn't go away) after you invoke Time Machine?
It's really annoying, as it prevents me from using the buttons on the bottom of Time Machine. The dock is fully functional in Time Machine...
But I'm unable to restore anything, as the restore button is blocked by the dock...
All help/tips is appreciated.

This is leefromreminderville and I did just drag the TM icon to my dock, for whatever that is worth. There is no option to "keep in dock". Menu bar TM is still going round and round and says 61kb of 246.16GB for more than an hour now. No clue why.

Connection/Report dock disappears on some machines

We are facing an unusual problem only on some machines. If we close the Connections dock and then go to View > Connections, the dock refuses to reappear. We also tried going through View > Reports but face the same problem.
Is this a known issue ( a search on the forum did not reveal similar reports from anyone though)?
Since we are working on both 10g and 8i we use SQL Developer with the latter unsupported version also. However with 8i we face problems with respect to incorrect result set and decimals. Is there any place to configure data types and their scale/precision to circumvent this problem?

The Reports navigation tab typically disappears if there is a corruption in the UserReports.xml file in the .sqldeveloper directory. These corruptions can happen if you swap between versions of SQL Developer or perhaps edit the file. In this Getting Started doc for 1.1 we tell users to copy and save the .sqldeveloper folder.
<p>If you find there are issues with trying to restore the Connect and Reports tabs, you can delete this .sqldeveloper folder.

Je ne pense pas si de simples m�ta tag permettent de g�rer les pdf en cache ou pas ...
En effet, ma page est g�n�r� en java (jsp) ... pour r�pondre � des normes de s�curit�s, lorsque l'utilisateur clique sur le lien pdf, le code fait appel � un service java (avec en param�tre juste le nom du fichier pdf) qui retourne en r�ponse un tableau de byte (repr�sentant le document pdf qui est interpr�t� par le browser).
Il semblerait qu'en VB il est possible de g�rer dynamiquement la gestion des objets pdf en cache. Reste � savoir si le java le permet �galement ...

Yes that can be done, but it's probably better to write a servlet instead of a jsp page if you want to return binary data.

Im having the same problems with the latest ipod touch not sitting into a bose portable sounddock.
Sure, the portable sounddock has an aux port in the back which I can use once I find an audio cable with male ends on both sides.
After reading this thread, I took an x-acto knife and tried to remove/thin the piece of silver plastic at the back of the ipod touch. didnt help much until I took the same knife and tried to thin the grey plastic innard of the sounddock connector. That worked.
so basically, i removed a thin bit of grey plastic from the inside of the male connector on the sounddock.
was worth a try.
I've also emailed Bose support. They're generally very helpful with these things and the last time when I upgraded from an ipod mini to ipod touch, I called them and they sent me (for free) a set of new dock inserts for the ipod touch.

Query to find Office 2013 Installed for a group of machines on different Subnets

I need a query that will show all machines that have Office 2013 installed and are on certain subnets. These are the two queries I currently have, but I need to combine them.

Using OS X Server For Group Time Machine

I'm not an OS X Server user, so I'm looking for some help on some basic issues regarding Time Machine.
Right now I have several clients (3-4) running utilizing Time Machine via a connected drive(s) to their systems. I'm considering converting an existing Mac Pro to OS X Server and consolidating TM backups to that system.
Is there a way in Server to limit the amount of storage each client can have for TM backups?
Is that something that is configured in Server?
Or is that handled by creating a partition for each TM backup?
Backups would be over Gigabit Ethernet. Would that be a performance issue?

In some earlier versions of Server, it may have been possible to push a setting to the client with Workgroup Manager to limit backup storage. My understanding is that it hasn't worked since some version of 10.6.

Yes.
Backups would be over Gigabit Ethernet. Would that be a performance issue?
That depends on how much data you back up and how much other network traffic you have. It's slower than a local backup.

I'm planning to implement a IBNS network. We have two groups of XP Machines. One group has machine certs and we're planning to check their certs using EAP-TLS. The second group of machines is managed by other departments, each having their own Active Directory, and configured with PEAP-MSCHAPv2. I'm not very familiar with this kind of setup, so hints are highly appreciated.
1. Can I assume that, when properly configured, we can differentiate the authorizations per group (for exemple, at least two VLANs one for group 1 and another one for group 2 - I must at least seggregate the users per group and can't mix them in the same environment, since they belong two different departments).
2. For the first group, no big issue. I can check against my central AD. For the users of the second group, since they can come from different departments, each having its own AD, can I differentiate them, by any means, to know which AD I'll have to query? Or do I have to query only one single AD? Is it required that all the users of group 2 belong to the same domain?

Managed dock prefs

Hi I'm trying to apply different managed dock prefs for Macs in various labs. I created various docks on a client machine, uploaded them to the server, then set up groups for each lab and applied a managed dock to each group. I decided to modify the dock prefs, but for some reason the new changes are not applied to the client machines. I've tried deleting library/managed preferences, I've also tried removing the managed pref completely from the server, but it seems that the original once is still being applied.

Doh, solved it. Just in case anyone comes across anything similar, check dscl>Local>Defalt>ComputerGroups. I had a dock preference set in here that was overiding the new server prefs.

Restoring movies from Time Machine backup

Last night I tried restoring my photos from a Time Machine backup. It appears that all my movies (.avi files) have been restored as .jpg files. When I open the pictures folder, it automatically opens iPhoto and starts importing my pictures. Is there something I can do to make sure that my .avi files are imported as .avi files and not .jpg files? Thanks!

Open a window for the item you want to restore.
For example, if you accidentally deleted a file from your Documents folder, open the Documents
folder. If you want to recover an email message, open your inbox in Mail.
If you’re missing an item from the desktop, you don’t need to open a window.
Click the Time Machine icon in the Dock.
If Time Machine isn’t in the Dock, look for it in the Applications folder.
Use the arrows or the timeline along the right side of your screen to browse through all the
backups Time Machine has created.
If you need more information about an item, double-click to preview it.
The windows behave just like Finder windows, so you can open folders, click items in the sidebar,
and use the search field in the upper-right corner of the window.
