Get back IP address string of my Network P.C Card.

I'm trying to get my PC network Card IP address
in LV 6 application.
Anyone have idea how can I do it ?
My O.S. is Win98.

Use the string to IP vi connected to the IP to string vi. This will return your IP address. You can find the VIs under the Communication>>TCP palette.

Help Get back old Address Book

I recently had some type of virus sending out a link from my contact book through Yahoo!, but only while my computer was physically turned off. I read online other people having this problem deleted their address book to get rid of it. I did that assuming I could delete it, then sync from my Mac Address Book.
Except it went the other way, now both are empty. I really want my address book on my Mac back as it linked BDays to Calendar and had photos of everyone.
Can someone tell me how to do this? I tried going into Time Machine to before I deleted, but it did not work. I assume restoring the Address Book only restores the software not the data it held. Can I restore the data that was in the Address Book at a given point?
I appreciate any help.

On your first point I agree, I could have avoided this by simply backing up my Address book data - takes a few seconds and it was silly not to.
On your second...It could very well be a coincidence that the email went out while the computer was turned off. It is a fact that an email went out (twice - 6 weeks apart) from my account to my entire Yahoo! contact list containing only a link to something malicious that luckily only one person clicked on and required their computer to be wiped. I promise you it does in fact exist. It was very much in my sent box and most friends replied immediately to let me know it happened.
I am sure you see the idiocy in your comment that if it hasn't happened to you, or anyone you know - it doesn't exist.
Anyway - it worked perfectly, I do appreciate your time. By chance do you know if there is some literature or a site that explains how the Sync works. What I mean is, for example, my wife and I both sync our calendar and contact lists through Mobile Me. If we both make changes between syncs, does it make both match the one that made the most recent change, or can you set up some type of master? I don't mind looking for the answer myself, but if you know a starting point I'd appreciate it.

Can I get the IP address of the last network my ipod connected too? (it has been stolen and I need a way to track it)

After I had it stolen I received email notifications from facebook that someone was trying to acces my account from Facebook for Iphone. Is there a way I can retrive the IP of the network they were using when accessing the facebook app on my ipod?

I would say no. That sounds like it would be pretty dangerous if we could do something like that.
If you lost your iPod, the only way to find it is if you had previously set up "Find My iPhone" on it.

Getting the IP address of the local machine.

We are deploying an application using 10g AS(LINUX).We have to capture the IP address of the
user machine, in which the browser is running.(10g forms,9i db)
WEB_UTIL is not configured and we are using java importer for the purpose.
I am a 'very' newbie in java.I searched a lot in the net and got some solutions but all providing the Ip address of the AS machine.
Can anyone give a java program to get the IP address of the local machine?Or a link...

Can't get back to my Primary e-mail address

Hello!! i hope someone can help me with this!!
- I was having problems verifying my primary e-mail address on appleid.apple.com.... I had this message about my email address wasn't veryfied and that I needed to verify it on order to get access to icloud. I clicked a looooot of times the link "verify now" but nothing happened... so I decided to change the primary e-mail address to something else, now, I can't get back to my original primary email address when I hit "save changes" nothing happens!
does anyone have an idea on how to fix this??

I recently browsed iTunes UK and now can't get back to iTunes US version. I restarted my Mac and whenever I open iTunes store it is the UK version. I can't open an account there because it won't let me use by email address twice.

Funny how this seems to be one of the most-asked questions on the Internet. In most cases, no answer is ever checked as "Correct," either. Just in case this helps someone: what worked for me was to sign in. It then told me my id was not valid for this country, and switched me back to the US. How I was ever able to buy something from the UK store in the first place is beyond me.
By the way, Apple, experiences like this, and many, many other horrible ones with iTunes, is why those of us who do not live in the Apple world continue to stick to their Microsoft PCs.

See if the iPad will accept the password after you restart it. It's worth a try.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
You could also try a reset as well.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Is this your own OS X Server system on your own network, or is this some other server within some larger organization?
You're posting this in the OS X Server forum, which is a software package that allows OS X systems to provide web-based and many other services; to become servers.
If it's your OS X Server on your network, then the network and DNS configurations are suspect, or the server is somehow malfunctioning or misconfigured. This is unfortunately fairly common, as some folks do try to avoid setting up DNS services.
If it's a larger organization and somebody else is managing the server and the network, then you'll probably need to contact the IT folks for assistance; to learn the network setup and DNS requirements, and if there's a problem with the server itself.
The basic web URL "hyper link IP address path" — without using DNS — usually looks something the following, where you'll need to replace 10.20.30.40 with the IP address of your server:

UptimeJeff has posted a URL that specifies the AFP file system; an OS X file share. That's used if you're connecting to an Apple storage service somewhere on your network. You might alternatively need to specify smb://10.20.30.40 or such, if it's a Windows file server. (There can be additional requirements for connecting to Windows Server systems, too.)
If there's local IT staff available here, please contact them for assistance. If these are your own local systems and your own local OS X Server system, then some information on the server will be needed. Can I get the Mac address in Audit logs of Active directory server for the user's machine which connect to the network/Domain

I am trying to get the information of all the user's who connect to our Domain network by signing in using the domain account. For this I am using the Windows audit group policies ( I am not sure of there is any other way). I can see when the user tries
to login to the network there is a audit event created on the AD/DC server. I can see the Kerberos authentication and logon/logoff events in the audit events under event viewer.
However the info which is being populated in these events include :- Hostname, IP address, Username and so on... But I can't see the MAC address of the user machine/system. Is there any way I can
get the Mac address of the endpoint system as its one of the important criteria for our project.
Any inputs on this would be appreciated, incase if there is any other way other than group policies please suggest.

If you use DHCP, you can query the DHCP server. There's no builtin
method to get the MAC address directly.

The specific text of the error message is very important here — I'm not sure exactly you're encountering here.
If you're able to connect to your email server and are able send email to other email addresses and if the failures are specific to one email recipient address, then please contact the intended recipient of the failing email, and confirm their address is valid. (This is the way I'm reading your question.)
If you are unable to send any email to any other email addresses and this is specific to your email address, then try the web mail client interface (if one is available) to verify your login user and password, and check with your email ISP for assistance. If your email password works via web mail, follow this Apple troubleshooting guide, then — if everything else fails — I'd probably then entirely remove the email account from Mail.app and re-add it per your email ISP's particular setup requirements. (Some issue with the setup or maybe a corrupt setting in OS X or a problem at the mail ISP servers is a common problem, but this effects attempts to send to all email addresses via that account.)
An email account setup is specific to an email provider, unfortunately. If you're using one of the more common email ISPs, then there are usually setup guides and frequently-asked questions posted online.

How to get back contacts and correct Gmail address and account

Spoke on the phone with a support tech to fix a problem. Eventually he cleared out a lot of info. He said any info that was not saved is what would be eliminated. That seemed to include all of my contacts. And I had to restart my Gmail. And my mistake, I signed back in with an old address.

Lost address book for iPod Touch. How can I get back data or app or both?

I forget what is was called but the built-in Contacts/Address Book app jumped off my 2nd generation (bought 31 Dec 2009) iPod Touch one day.
I connected to iTunes hoping to get it back with all my data from the back-up, but because iTunes was set to automatic sync it synced when I connected and over-rode the last back-up with a new one, so without any contact app or data.
When I investigated back-up on iTunes I was only offered the back-up which had just been made, ie no contact app or data.
Is there any way that I can reload at least the empty app without doing a re-set?
I don't want to do a re-set because although I will get back the empty app I will lose all my 20+ other 3rd party apps and all the data that some of them contain,
As well as that - since I cannot update the OS - the version of each that I can run (for OS 4) will almost certainly have vanished from iTunes because most apps have been developed now for OS 5 and finding the old version in iTunes is very cumbersome. As far as I can see I have to browse them all in the date order they were released, with no search facility.
I have to have an address book. I have been unable to find a 3rd party one that will run under OS 4, so it looks as if I will have to use NoteMaster, with contacts in A/Z order by surname, with one or more lines for each depending on whether I have phone number, mobile number, email address, postal address etc. It's possible, but a poor substitute for a proper address book.
I would be very grateful for any help with this, and hope that the Apple address book app or a 3rd party address book app for 4.2.1 is available.

Try resetting your home screen layout, go to your setting>general>reset home screen layout.
