If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.
If there are specific tasks you need help with:

    Is a good resource.

  • Please HELP!!Getting booted out of Livecycle

I have been using the alt key to help "nudge" items into place.  In the current document I am working on, everytime I try to use the alt key, I get kicked out of livecycle.  I don't get an error message, just a popup box that says "Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."  I tried re-saving an re-naming my form, but it is still doing the same thing.
I cannot reinstall adobe/adobe livecycle without going through our IT department.  Is there anything that I could try on my own to resolve the problem?
    Any help would be appreciated!!

It was happening with one file.  I think I may have figured it out.  My snap to grid was on and I think that when I used the Alt key it was conflicting with this. I turned my snap to grid off and I seem to be able to use the Alt key. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to try to help with my question.

  • HT1689 I keep getting booted out of the itunes store on my brand new iPod touch.  What can I do to fix the problem?

I just got my son a new iPod touch and he is trying to use the itunes store but it keeps booting him out and back to the main screen with all of his apps on it.  I've tried it myself several times and it does it to me as well.  I have an iPhone and have never had this issue.  Does anyone know what the issue is?  He is not thinking this is the greatest Christmas present at this point.

    Hi Sam From ME,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  I would suggest restarting your iPhone and seeing if the issue continues, and if it does, try resetting your iPhone as well:

  • Why do I keep getting booted out of iTunes on my phone

Whenever I try to open iTunes on my iPhone 4S it keeps booting me out. I have downloaded iOS7. I don't know if this is the reason, though.

  • I keep getting booted out of my at-home network.

Since last night, our network keeps disappearing form the list, we have to enter it manually every time the computer goes to sleep mode.  We've changed the admin password and the network password, but we cannot lock changes in place...especially for the AirPort and Network.  Does this mean I need to create a new network and delete the old one?

You can try closing all of your open/running as well.
Double tap the home button and your recent apps will appear at the bottom. Hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Then tap the minus sign to quit the app. Close all of the open apps the same way. Then tap the screen. Now restart the iPad.
Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut off. Hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logos appears then let go of the button and the iPad will restart. See if that helps.
You can also try a reset by holding down on the sleep and home buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If none of this helps - you may have a corrupt app that you need to deal with.

  • Why do I get kicked out of iTunes when deleting a video in my library?

Every time I delete an old episode of a TV show from my Mac Pro library I get booted out of iTunes and have to reload. This goes on several times in a row when deleting several episodes.
This problem started with the upgrade to OS Mavericks. This also happens on my iPhone too!
An Apple employee at a retail store told me it does not happen to him and it may be what Apple wanted to do anyway...I thanked him and walked away!
    Thanks

    Hi flisflis,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If iTunes is quitting unexpectedly when you delete TV episodes, this is certainly not normal behavior for the application.
You may find the information and steps in this article helpful for troubleshooting iTunes:

    Not true at all.

This is illegal.  There is no doubt about it

Have you tried using Disk Utility? Utilities Folder>Disk Utility, hopefully the CD will be listed on the left. Select it and then click on the 'eject' butoon.

HOw much empty space do you have on your device? If it's trying to download or buffer the video and there's not enough  local storage then it may kick up an error

  • Keep getting kicked out of game. MechWarrior:Online

I have a problem where I will try and start a match in MechWarrior Online, I will get an extended black screen, then it will kick me back into the mechlab. I have spent months asking PGI (MWO's developer) to help me to no avail.
Tonight I noticed that as soon as midnight came (my time, central time) I got booted out of 3 matches in a row.  My suspicion is that Verizon is diverting resources away from my internet hookup after midnight. Thoughts? anyone have any solutions?

Your not the only one man. I was consistently getting 25 ping for months, and now lately starting in december I get 100-135 ping occasionally especially on the weekends.. My traceroute shows a bad hop to a german server. Why am I routed through germany to get to toronto from NYC? This was mind boggling for even the verizon techs. Totally mysterious.
But besides that it seems the circuit on that router is having load issues. Verizon keeps claiming that PGI is not paying for enough bandwidth, but I don't believe thats true, unless they have a special deal with the other companies that are hops before their own ISP.

GOING FROM NY TO GERMANY TO ATLANTA AND BACK TO NY TO GET TO TORONTO CANADA!?!?!?!
It must be verizon's sick joke.
] I have emailed the German admin for the bad hop in question, which Verizon unprofessionally has asked me to do,   and have received no reply back. I think its absurd for verizon to ask me to do this and naive to expect any reply back.
This seems to have been a problem also back in January as you can see from this forum post. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/Routing-Latency-issues/td-p/525091
And this one on MWO. http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/91680-higher-ping-times-after-patch/page__st__80
Apparently verizon finally fixed the trouble circuit. I was hoping they would do the same for me, but I'm not important enough...Or maybe they never really did fix the issue,  because it seems none of those guys play the game anymore ...  In that thread it seems some have left verizon as well.   Time warner and Comcast satellite are not having this issue apparenlty.
    Rich.

  • I am getting logged out of ALL of my accounts

I am getting logged out of ALL of my accounts using my computer
    - Gmail
    - crailgsilst
    - yahoo mail
    - yandex
I have to loginto google cometimes 10 times in 2 minutes.
Its a newer retina MBP. HOW DO I STOP THIS?

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
    5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
    9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
    exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
    10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return  three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
    12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

  • Removing gray crappy ugly Applet loader background

excuse my language but I've spent the last two days tring to figure out how to remove the gray screen when the applet loads in a browser...
I've searched the forums, found other ppl with same problem but no real solutions...
    from what I found:
    1. using javascript to hide the applet while its loading
works for IE but not for Netscape 6( http://www.codeproject.com/java/javaappletwaitmsg.asp )
    2. using an applet to load the real applet
seems ok, but you still see the gray screen when the first applet loads... basically this just shortens the time you get to see the gray screen, not a proper solution( http://www.acm.vt.edu/~jmaxwell/appletloader/appletloader.html )
So should I assume there is no way to tell the java plug-in not to make the screen gray while its loading the applet??????
    WHY? WHY? WHY?
is there really no way of changing this horrible GRAY screen???
please if anybody found out how to solve this, post it here!

2 main reasons why the gray panel stays for a long time..
1, the JVM is loaded, the applet is now visible but due to lots of late binding and other startup stuff, the Applet itself takes a long time to load.
Solution, in a previous page, load a dummy applet that does basically nothing and make it 1x1 pixels in width and height. This cuts down on the JVM start up.
2, Your Applet causes classes to load from the Web Server (of course).
    Solution in 2 parts:
Part 1, make sure that all your applet classes are jar'ed with compression on and that your applet code has debug code off and no optimisation used when compiling. This ensures the smallest code size other than that produced an obfuscator.
Part 2, Your applet should be doing 2 things. Firstly, it should be attempting to turn its background to the chosen colour as soon as possible. It should be doing nothing else at all, not even creating other classes, loading classes nothing at all. Secondly, when the Applets background colour is set, then you can start loading classes that do the work your Applet is supposed to do. When that is all over, you can that start to modify the Applet's panel
