Get cd out with power of

When I started the puter today. The black screen with the text:
No bootable device found. Please insert a bootable disc and press any key to continue.
I have never touched any other OS on this macbook. Never even opened boot menu.
So I tried to restart the puter but the same thing happened. Now this is when I should have come here but I just had to try something first (I'm so stupid!). I had a Linux Mint CD that I inserted and restarted. Mint booted as planned ecxept that the desktop never appeard. So now I got a Linux Mint CD in my mac that doesn't work and it's booted automaticly.
I have tried to press the eject button while booting up which useally works didn't. I've tried to open boot menu while booting up by holding in alt. Did not work. Now what the **** am I going to do? Is there a way (maybe some sort of a panic button) to eject the cd with the power of? And if I succsesfully eject the cd I would still have the problem that Leopard won't boot.
Please help me.
Sorry about my language. My English isn't that gr8 and I'm not used to this keyboard.

To get the disk out, hold down the mouse/trackpad button while turning the computer on.
As for why the computer thinks there's no bootable medium available, there's two possible reasons: either the hard drive has become corrupted and has managed to forget it's bootable, or the firmware has forgotten to load the drivers/check the internal SATA bus for bootable items.
I had the problem with the firmware about 6 month ago; the computer would sit there for about 5 minutes with a grey screen before telling me there was no bootable media available, while there patently was. I managed to fix this by booting the computer from the original restore disk that shipped with the computer, and from the 'utilities' menu, selecting 'set firmware password' setting a password for it, then rebooting and holding down 'option', (it should ask for the password you just set) then rebooting from the restore disk again, and removing the password (by selection the same option again and just leaving the password fields blank). I can't guarantee this will fix any firmware problem, but it seemed to work in my case.
If it's a problem with the hard drive itself, then you will be able to tell when booted from the restore disk. From the 'utilities' menu select 'startup disk' and if the internal hard drive is listed there, try selecting it and choosing 'reboot'. If it proceeds to boot up normally from the internal hard drive, problem sorted. if the hard drive appears there but the computer can't reboot from it in this way, it could still either be a problem with the hard drive or the firmware. Try running disk utility from the utilities menu and running 'repair permissions' and 'repair disk' on the hard drive, and see if this makes a difference. If you have a time machine backup, try restoring from that. If none of this works, back up all your data and do a clean install of OSX (backup of data could be achieved in several ways even if the computer won't boot: if your mac has firewire you can boot it in target disk mode by holding down 't' while turning it on, and connecting it to another mac or you could physically remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer with usb/firewire/esata to copy data across).
If none of these work, then I'd suggest that the firmware has a different problem to mine, in which case I'm afraid I can't help you...

  • Best way to get presentations out with bandwidth issues.

    Hi,
I am not an IT or Network employee and now that I have made all these great Software simulations and video demos how do I lump them all together with a table of contents and get them out to employees in our facility to utilize.  If I publish to You Tube I know they are worried about it affecting our bandwidth can anyone walk me through this?

If this content is being delivered from a web server then you could create a Captivate module that just acts as a menu to jump to other Captivate published projects on the same server.
However, if you are intending to serve this content from a network LAN then your best bet is to create an ordinary HTM web page that has links to launch each of the HTM files for the Captivate published projects.  The reason is that Flash Global Security will prevent one Captivate project from calling another one. See information here:
    http://www.infosemantics.com.au/adobe-captivate-troubleshooting/how-to-set-up-flash-global -security
If you eventually decide you need to track this content I would recommend you start thinking about an LMS.

Which trash are you talking about, Aperture or system?
The command to get images out of the Aperture trash is Put Back. You select the images, right click and select Put Back from the contextual menu.
Same procedure for the projects. Select the project in the Trash right click and select Put Back.

  • Does a iPad get wiped out (with all apps and folder arrangement), after you do a clean install on your Mac?

    Hi there,
so my Mac Mini is getting very slow, and need to do a OS X clean install. I wouldn't want to loose my apps/folder arrangements on my iPad if I do a clean install on that Mac Mini.
Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi JT,
    computer info: G4 titanium Powerbook w/ 1.33 gHz (i think)/15" titanium/OS X.3.9
If it's a 1.33, it's an Aluminum PB. If it's a Titanium, then the fastest it could be is 1Ghz, and if it shipped with 10.1, it's a 400-800Mhz. It would be good to know in order to install the correct OS (you cannot install an OS earlier than the one the PB originally shipped with). It sounds like you were running 10.1 on this before - yes?
here's what i've tried so far.
    1) erased the HD (zeroed out)
all the ones i found say to start up from the CD, which ain't workin' for me.
I don't understand, if you can't boot from the install disc or Target Disk Mode, how did you zero the PB HD? Do you have an OS installed on your FW HD?
If you're attempting to boot into FWTDM correctly and the PB's HD is not mounting on the host computer, then you have hardware issues, possibly the PB's HD. Is the external HD you have a 2.5"? If so, I would install it in the PB and see if that shows up.

  • External Lync clients can't join meetings - get kicked out with "You have left the call"

My users connecting remotely (ie. from home) from their Lync clients installed on their PC are unable to join any meetings.  It tries to connect, but then gives the status "You have left the call."
Internally (ie. in the office) it works fine. Additionally, the Lync Web App clients also works fine, internally and externally.
    Some details on my enviroment:
    Edge - Lync 2013
Front End Pools - one 2010 Enterprise (albeit one server), one 2013 Enterprise (two servers)
A standalone Lync 2010 A/V server exists as well.
Meet and dialup records internally point to 2010 pool. Externally, they point to 2013 access edge.
SRV records on external DNS are _sip._tls 443 and _sipfederationtls._tcp 5061, both point to access edge.
SRV records on internal DNS are _sipinternaltls._tcp 5061 to sip (which is an "A" record with IP for 2013 FE pool), and _sip._tls 5061 to access (which is an "A" record with the internal IP of the edge server).
Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Can external Lync user make an audio call to an
    external user?
Your problem is mostly related with Lync Edge Server.
Check Lync Server Audio/Video Edge service is started.
Please use Remote Connectivity Analyzer to perform Audio/Video server connectivity test:
    https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/
Please check if you can find error in event log on Lync Edge Server.

  • Why Apple is silent about 4s wifi getting greyed out and not responding to this issue? many ppl suffer from this and this is absurd!

Why Apple is silent about iPhone 4s wifi getting greyed out with iOS updates 8.0.2 and 8.1 and did not respond to this issue officially? Many people are suffering from this affected service. How can you trust us to buy new iPhones when you stop supporting us with the ones we have since they are still upgradable to the latest iOS.
Is there any chance that we will be given the support and would this issue be fixed with any upcoming updates? My iPhone when its battery is drained totally and I start it again the WIFI works until I try to choose another network or somehow I disable it then blackout!
This is definitely a software issue that we never had problems before this update.
Show us that you care for your products at least and provide us with a solution please.

    nartal wrote:
That doesn't help at all.. I can only have it enabled if the battery gets drained out totally then when I restart it the WIF is on. then back greyed out.. that is not a serious reply, really!
Yes, it's a serious reply. Did you actually read the information at the link I posted? Especially the last sentence? The fact that it appeared when you updated to iOS 8 has no bearing on the validity of the article. It is not specific to any version.

I'm having the exact same issue with my retina display Macbook as well. Anyone found a solution yet? Very annoying when it kills my whole session!

  • My headphone jack is stuck in my ipod and broke off. What do I do to get it out?

My ipod touch 4th Gen was working fine until I dropped it and the headphones broke off completely at the tip, so the jack is completely stuck, and I cant get it out with tweezers or anything. I might take it to the Apple store, but would they be able to do anything.

FIXED... Installed my OCZ 60GB SSD into my master PC external bay. Went to disk management. Saw 3 partitions. 1.8GB (Recovery)/46GB/8.5GB (Recovery) DELETED the 8.5GB partition. (I know this was the new one created by pressing "0".) Right clicked on the 46GB partition and made it "active". Put the OCZ back into the netbook. It boot right back into Windows desktop successfully. SAVED.

  • As a novice computer user, I wonder why I'm often getting "white-out" (program/app I'm working in goes totally blank onscreen). If it makes a difference, I'm working 99% of the time on battery, not AC, power. What causes this?

As a novice computer user, I wonder why I'm often getting "white-out" (program/app/site I'm working in goes totally blank onscreen). This is when I'm Internet online. If it makes a difference, I'm working 99% of the time on battery, not AC, power. Some of the possibilities I'm guessing are: glitches in my Verizon FiOS Wi-Fi providership?; staying too long on a site that's waiting for me to finish and "Submit"?; computer hardware prob (yikes, I hope not! It's brand new). Any ideas out there?

When this 'white-out' occurs, is the display 100% white with no error message and no menu bar?
Does this occur when you are using Wi Fi or connected to the Internet via the Ethernet cable?
    Ciao.

    thanks

I hope you are able to solve your problem. The iPhone is definitely designed to be able to run the power all the way down. In fact, the instructions to maintain your battery suggest doing that once a month. I do it now and then, not usually once a month and I am always able to get my phone back to where it would be usable in about 10 minutes of charge. I always keep it in the charger until it is fully charged, however.
I just didn't want you to think you made some big mistake to let it run out of charge. There must be something going on with your phone or the battery.

  • Getting Started with Power BI

Microsoft Power BI helps you stay up to date with the information that matters to you.   With Power BI, dashboards
help you keep a finger on the pulse of your business.  Your dashboards display
tiles that you can click to explore further with reports.  Connect to multiple
datasets to bring all of the relevant data together in one place.
Want more information on how to get started with Power BI? Read our tutorial here:
    http://support.powerbi.com/knowledgebase/articles/430814-get-started-with-power-bi
    Or
take a look at our getting started video.

I haven't started using Power BI yet, but one thing I am finding difficult is getting a definitive list of technology dependencies.  There are now multiple BI components available that use various incarnations of Office / SharePoint and, despite the
plethora of documentation, it seems to be hard to hard to figure out what bits work together.
For example I have read both that Office 365 is only a cloud based solution and, elsewhere, that it can be 'on premise'.  If it is on premise, is it the same as Office 2013?
Does Power Bi work with both?  What version of SHarePoint would the on premise version work with?
Does anyone know of a single document that presents clearly, which bits work where and with what?
