Get contacts into phone WITHOUT PC Suite

I recently joined a new company and they have issued me with a 6303 Classic - a rather nice phone at that! Anyway, This company does not allow their employees administrator access to their PC's and as such I can't install any software whatsoever onto the PC - this includes PC Suite.
So how do I get my contacts from outlook (or a CSV) into the phone without installing PC suite (or any other software) on my PC? I need name, job title, business phone & mobile numbers.
thanks
   Guy

There's no way round it without installing software of some kind.
What you can do is export your address book, take it home or e-mail it to yourself, import it to your home PC and install PC Suite on your home machine.

  • How can I get contacts into Numbers spreadsheet

How can I get my contacts into a Numbers spreadsheet, please help since the OS X mavericks upgrade I cant drag them and I dont know how to get them into the spreadsheet now can anyone help

And here's a way to get some actual information from Contacts into Numbers 3.0.
    1. Copy/paste the script below into AppleScript Editor.
    2. Select the cards in Contacts that you want.
    3. Click the green run button in AppleScript Editor.
    4. Click a cell in Numbers and command-v to paste the data in.
That should result in something like this:
    Here is the script:
--Places tab-separated Contacts data on the system clipboard for pasting into a table
--usage: select one or more contacts in Contacts, run, select a cell in a table and paste
    tell application "Contacts"
              set {tsvData, contacts} to {"", selection}
if selection is not {} then
set tsvData to "Name" & tab & "Phones" & tab & "Street" & tab & "City" & tab & "Zip" & tab & "Emails" & return --header row
                        repeat with thisPerson in contacts
                                  set {thisPhone, thisEmail} to {"", ""}
                                  set {thisName, thisID} to {name, id} of thisPerson
set {thisStreet, thisCity, thisZip} to {street, city, zip} of the first address of thisPerson
set phoneProperties to properties of phones of thisPerson
repeat with j from 1 to (count of phoneProperties)
set thisPhone to thisPhone & value of item j of phoneProperties & "  "
                                  end repeat
set emailProperties to properties of emails of thisPerson
repeat with j from 1 to (count of emailProperties)
set thisEmail to thisEmail & value of item j of emailProperties & "   "
                                  end repeat
                                  set tsvData to tsvData & thisName & tab & thisPhone & tab & thisStreet & tab & thisCity & tab & thisZip & tab & thisEmail & return
                        end repeat
set the clipboard to text 1 thru -2 of tsvData -- remove trailing return
tell application "System Events" to display dialog "Click in cell and <command-v>" buttons {"OK"} default button 1
              else
tell application "System Events" to display dialog "Select at least one card in Contacts and run again" buttons {"OK"} default button 1
              end if
    end tell
This is not as nice as the old vcard drag and drop import. It's a simple example and probably needs some customizing because there are so many different ways people store information in Contacts.  But this approach can meet most needs, if it's not convenient to leave the data in Contacts and link to it.

  • Getting Contacts into Outlook 2011

I just installed Microsoft Office 2011 onto my MacBook and I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how to get the contacts from my Apple Contacts into Outlook so I can use it as my e-mail program but still have all my contacts in that program without having to manually type them into Outlook?

I figured it out....It's actually pretty simple such as highlighting them, putting them on the desktop, then taking that and putting it in Outlook and all the sudden, all the addresses are in the Outlook Address Book.

  • How can I import contacts into phone from Excel fi...

I have an N97 Mini. And I have an Excel file on my computer which lists my contacts. In separate columns I have their first names, last names, phone numbers, email addresses.I would like to import this file into my phone's contacts in one go, i.e. without having to enter each person manually. Does anyone know who this can be done?
(Also, in another folder I have a profile photograph of each contact. Is there some way I could also - in one go - add a profile picture to each contact in my phone's contacts?)
FYI: I have Ovi Suite and PC Suite installed on my computer, but it's not clear whether they could help with this. Thanks.

Exporting .csv ( comma seperated value) and Excel files to Outlook and then sync through PCSuite is possible. For the pictures, I'm not sure.

  • Backup my phone without pc suite as its not workin...

hello whe ni try to backup ym nokia n95  its taking ages and never finishes
how can i just backup the contacts  in my address book
is it possible to export them into a file and get them back later

    Hi
There are a few options for you to do this.
    Option 1: Using Backup
When you start the content copier appliaction after selecting to backup, you will receieve a window asking you to select which items to backup. Untick everything except contacts and your backup will only have contacts.
    Option 2: Using Synchronise
Also using Nokia PC Suite, You can use the synchronise application rather than backup. This will synchronise your contacts to a PIM like MS OUTLOOK or IBM LOTUS NOTES.
Option 3: Using the phone and MMC
You can also make a backup to your memory card. You don;t need PC suite or a PC to do this.
    Just Select Menu> Contacts> Options> copy> to memory card.
This will make copies of your contacts to the MMC so you can copy them back to contacts when you need them.

How do I get all my contacts from my iPhone 5s to my new macbook air?  I have a different account than my apple ID hooked up to my phone so I don't know what to do.

  • How to reverse adding Facebook contacts into phone book

I added my Facebook contact details into my phone book after being asked if I want it.  I misunderstood what it meant. How can I reverse it? Thanks

Look at the export file formats in Mail and then look inthe import function in Gmail and see what protocol matches. That isn't a OS X or Mac issue tall, its a Gmail issue and possibly better answered on an Gmail forum.

  • Can't Get Contacts Off Phone

I synced my iPhone for the first time after updating to 3.0 and it asked me whether I wanted to delete 100 or so of my contacts. I went ahead and did it thinking there was some sort of duplicates problem, but it deleted them off my computer and left them on my phone.
    I don't know why!
Now whenever I sync, the phone contacts won't merge back into the computer contacts. I tried the FAQ page's instructions, but the address book files weren't in my Library folder where it said they would be. Nothing seems to be helping. I am losing my mind here!

If deleted from your old phone, and you were syncing contacts with iCloud, this would also delete them from iCloud. Unless you have a backup, that contains your contacts, to restore from, they are gone.

  • After opening Firefox & getting my info, I go into another application but am unable to open Firefox without Quitting it first. I have the latest update of Firefox. How can I get back into firefox without quitting Firefox?

After opening Firefox, I was always able to in & out of it till I shut down my computer. Now, after opening Firefox, I go to another application then back to Firefox, I have to "Quit" Firefox and reopen. How can eliminate the back & forth of starting & quitting Firefox before I shutdown my computer?

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I use firefox for so many, many years thta I deserve this kind of support .. thnx Robert

  • Can't get ringtone into phone

I purchased 2 ringtones from iTunes and now I can't get them to my phone. I try dragging them from itunes to my phone and nothing is happening. I paid for them last night...any suggestions?

They are probably not ringtones - they are music tracks to be converted.
Google for 'create ringtone for iPhone' and when done make sure you have your iPhone set to sync ringtones on the appropriate tab on iTunes.
If you are not using manual sync on the iPhone, i don't believe the drag and drop will work anyway.

  • Difficulty getting Contacts into Numbers

I'm new at using a support community, so I apologize if I'm not doing this correctly. Anyway, I'm trying to export my contacts to a Numbers spreadsheet using the drag-and-drop method (one at a time). However, only five fields are showing up in the Numbers' spreadsheet. Worth mentioning is that after I drag a contact to Numbers, the column letters above the five fields aren't shown in alphabetical order. Instead, they appear as B, C, J, S, and BN. How can I get all of the fields in my Contacts to appear in Numbers? By the way, I editied the Conacts' template by adding fields that are necessary for my project.

the other columns are most likely hidden.  select the contextual menu in the table and unhide the columns:

  • Getting contacts into Skype for Business

    Hi there,
I'm trying out the new Skype for Business, all installed great but I would like to import my previous contacts from my old Skype account.  How can I do this?  I appear to have no contacts at current.
    Nick.

It's okay I see now, I need to put them into my Office 365 contacts. As this is a new account there aren't any so I will use Outlook to export from my old account and then again to import them into my new account.
