Get CPU and Hard Disk nuber

Hi Friends,
How to get CPU number it mean Mother bord nuber and Hard Disk number..?
Plz any body know then tell me.
Thank you,

JNI = Java Native Interface
Using JNI you can call platform-specific code, for example code written in C or C++ in a Windows DLL. You'll have to write some C or C++ code that does the things you want ("get the harddisk number, motherboard number, ...") and call that C or C++ code from your Java code via JNI.
How you get the "harddisk number" or "motherboard number" in your C/C++ code is a different question that you have to consult the documentation of your operating system for.
Ofcourse you'll need a C/C++ compiler to compile your C/C++ source code into a library that can be called via JNI.

So, lately, I switched the hard drives in my computer to migrate from Windows XP and install Windows Vista to my machine, everything was going alright with my machine, until I decided to install Skype, as it's the main communications line with me and the internet, and I noticed it now takes up pretty much all of my CPU and hard disk resources when loading all of my contacts and messages after installation, but it finished loading them, and it still uses a high amount of my resources. Skype uses approximately 250MB of memory (Which is kind of high on a system like mine..), it maxes out the processor at around 95-100% utilization, and the hard drive light is on full, as I hear the read head spazzing out on the thing anyways. I was wondering, is this an issue with the latest version of Skype? I can't use older versions since Skype/Microsoft decommissioned them, and it won't even let me log in to them. Could someone possibly help me with this?
My machine specifications are as of follows if it has anything to do with the issue.:

  • Beeping and hard disk failure

    My probook 6470b cannot boot again. Always prompting for memory and hard disk test. Memory passed the test but the hard disk test displays the following;
    SMART CHECK: NOT INSTALLED
    SHORT DST: .NOT INSTALLED.
    Pls help

    Hi:
It appears from the information that you provided that the hard drive has completely failed and needs to be replaced.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP technical support and file a warranty support ticket to get the drive replaced.
You will also need to have HP send you a set of recovery disks to reinstall the operating system, programs and drivers that came with the notebook.

  • Hp dv4-2112tu no boot no display , ram and hard disk are ok and checked, shows caps num led blinking

    Hello Sir/Madam,
    I have HP DV4-2112TU
My laptop doesn’t boot completely and shows blank black display. CPU fan running normally and hard disk rotating normally.
Battery charging is ok and charging-power led glows normally. Caps lock and Num lock led flashes 3 times and then wait for one second and then flash again and so on. Laptop is stucked in booting process.
I have checked both of my RAMs and Hard Disk in Another Laptop. All are working fine and shows no issues.
I have also checked my laptop installing new RAM in both ports (simultaneously) and a new Hard Disk but Laptop shows same problem - no display no boot.
I showed my laptop at an authorised HP Service Centre... they told me that the problem is related to my Hard Disk....But this is wrong Because a faulty hard disk is never cause no display and no boot and even no BIOS POST message. They told me wrong cause of fault because I have checked Hard Disk and it is OK.
Can anyone tell me what are the issues related to my Laptop..... …..
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
The 3 blink pattern does correspond to issues with the memory modules, see the document below:
Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code
Since it sounds like you've done everything possible to eliminate the memory modules themselves as the source of the problem.  Based on your description, I'd agree that the problem is probably not the Hard Drive.  Which unfortunately leaves us with a problem with the Motherboard as the only component that might be implicated and that hasn't been changed out yet.  It could be as simple as a bad connector, or something less easy to detect in the logic on the board, but either way, it seems like it would need to go back to a service center for repair.

  • Problem with Photoshop CS5. Memory and Hard disk space Mac OSX

Just got CS5 Master Suite.  Whenever I open photoshop it takes a ton of memory 1 gig +. When I open  files it takes up more and more until it takes up all my memory and hard  disk space. I open a simple multi layered file that is 25 megs in size  to work on it. Before I know it photoshop is taking 20gigs+ of my hard  disk space along with 3+ gigs of system memory. Is there a memory  problem in photoshop cs5?
    Thanks!
    Joseph
    UPDATE:
So I just opened the 25 meg file  in photoshop cs5 and watched my free space on my hard drive go down 8  gigs the instant I opened it. It went from 27 gigs of freespace to 19  instantly. As I open more files and close others it works till my harddrive goes to zero space... stalls the computer big time. Only way to correct it is to quit photoshop cs5 and wait a few minutes for the space to return... and it takes a few minutes for it all to return.
I am running a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.6., 4 gigs of ram on board.

  • Power on and hard disk password issue with rescue and recovery ?

I have set a power on and hard disk password to prevent any unauthorized user to boot the computer and thats works fine but the problem is that it can be bypassed very easily by pressing the THINKVANTAGE blue button and going through the initial screen of the rescovery process.
When you reach the main screen of the recovery process just press on "restart system" and on the next boot up you won't be asked for a password and it will boot into Windows. Is there any way to prevent a user to initiate a rescue and recovery to bypass the password or even better a patch that will trigger the password screen as soon as the blue THINKVANTAGE button is pressed ?

I just recently discovered this problem as well.
I'm hoping someone can help us with this.

  • Grey Screen on Start up and Hard disk not working

Hi , I was working and suddenly some popping noises came out of the hard drive. I tried to save my work but i couldn't because it got "stuck". I had to turn it off and when I restarted a grey screen appeared without the apple logo. It won't start up and starting from cd, safe mode, single user mode don't work. I reset the PRAM too and nothing works. I'm worried about recovering the data... what should I do? I have work there that i need!!!
    thanks

thanks for your reply. I took my powerbook to 2 apple authorized technical service and both of them told me that they couldn't get the data using disk warrior.
I already removed the hard drive and replace it with a new one. However I still want to recover data. I plug the hard drive to my home powermac with a usb connector and using disk utility and terminal i was able to "see" the drive but not mount it. In disk utility the drive appears as 0 bytes.
I want to try using Terminal or Single user mode to mount the hard drive, and/or repair it and try to recover some important files that I urgently need. Do you know how?

  • G570: CD/DVD and Hard Disk drives not recognized

I have a Lenovo G570 laptop. It used to run fine until it started taking longer and longer boot into windows. Soon the computer would not boot into windows and instead try to repair windows, which would finish but never actually repair the computer. Soon after that the CD/DVD drive dissapeard from the BIOS, and it hasn't been able to do anything with a CD except for twirl it around (but not let it read any of that beautiful data.) Soon after this the hard disk was no longer recognized. I have been able ot get the computer to boot off of a linux live flash drive, but that's only a temporary fix. I wasn't able to reach any hard disks thorugh linux to back up files, and the CD drive wasn't recognized either. How can I fix this? Thank you for reading this.

    hi argiflex,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
AFAIK, if the HDD/ODD isn't recognized under BIOS then it's a sign that the device is already failing and needs to be replaced.  You can try using a 2.5" SATA Enclosure to read the drive via the USB port on the G570 or on another PC but if the problem remains then you may need to replace the drive.
If the data on the HDD is very important, you can opt to send the HDD to a professional data recovery firm (i.e. DriveSavers) to recover the data.

  • I'm receiving error Boot Device Not Found and Hard disk not exist when I boot up my laptop

I'm receicing the error Boot Device Not Found when i power on my HP G60-235DX laptop.  After following HP's recommended troubleshooting steps, I receive error Hard disk not exist.  Hmmmm....that's a little concerning.  My guess is I need a new hard drive?    I have the 17 recovery disks I made when I setup this laptop, however I'm not sure if they will resolve this issue.  Any suggestions?

One of 3 things has happened, listed from most likely to least likely
    1. Hard drive has died, replace it with one of the same size or larger, then use the HP recovery discs to re-install windows.
2, The motherboard has serious problems. (Replace the notebook)
    3. The hard drive cable that connects it to the motherboard has somehow failed, not very likely. (replace the cable)
Replace the hard drive with a new one and use your recovery discs to get Windows back on it.
Here is your service manual, will show you how to replace the hard drive

  • Dropped Frames in Viewer, and Hard Disk Questions

    Hi,
I'm new to FCE (v3.5.1) having just upgraded from iMovie. I'm on a 2GHz Core Duo MacBook with 2GB RAM. I have a 120GB internal drive that has 16GB free. In my initial use of FCE, I've run into two problems.
    (1) I'm finding that frames are regularly dropped during playback in the Viewer - as much as half the time. The same video clips playback flawlessly in iMovie and in Quicktime. These frames are on my MacBook's internal hard disk and are each roughly a minute in length.
I should note that these clips were exported from iMovie (I copied them out of an iMovie project file / package). Might this be causing the problem?
    (2) Also, I'm finding that the audio playback of these clips (that were copied from the iMovie package) is okay in the Viewer but not in the Canvas (I hear beeping) -- I found mention that the audio format of iMovie and FCE are different, so I expect I need to reimport these clips anyway. Is there an easy way around this?
    (3) I know I said two problems, but number 3 is a question, not a problem! Given my hardware setup described above, should I be able to get away with working with the clips located on an external Firewire hard disk? Or should I only work with clips located on my internal drive. Similarly, can I effectively work with a scratch disk that is external FW, or should I keep that on my internal drive?
    Thanks in advance,
    Tim

Need to know info more about the clips from iMovie.
Clips coming into FCE need to match the Sequence settings. This is set up before a Project begins using the Easy Setups. My guess is there is a mis-match.

The work around is to render, Command+R or Sequence>Render All from the menu.
iMovie uses DV Stream and is a multiplexed format whereas FCE uses DV. The QuickTime files that FCE likes has the audio seperate from the video allowing them to be edited with or without the video.

Using FCE an External firewire is a much better option than your internal.
Search this forum for Canon/LaCie, most users get in strife with this combo. Most other stuff seems fine.

  • Capture hdv and hard disk

Hi, reading the manual with fce, apple do not recommend using a firewire hard disk. I dont have any other and do not have enough space on my macbook to store on the system drive.
So just wondering if anyone else has had problems capturing hdv onto a firewire external drive? One other thing, since I am using my only available firewire port for the camcorder, the hard drive is hooked up with USB. Its an iomega drive.

Read it here and the same in the manual
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2323
I should have clarified that I meant this in relation to HDV.
"FireWire disk drives are not recommended for capturing high data rate material such as uncompressed SD or HD video."
Now I know its AIC I'm getting but the article mentions that they are good only for DV. I don't know my codecs well enough to know whether HDV (captured via AIC) falls in this category or the non-recommended one or somewhere inbetween.

  • Long wait on Startup and Hard Disk not found

Hi. I don't know if these problems are related to each other, but they both showed up at the same time. I upgraded to Mountain Lion recently, and these appeared after that.
I'm getting a long wait on startup (before I can select my username), which seems to be related to this timeout in system.log

Also, hard drive I just bought (in "Bay 4", that is to say, port 3 in internal 0-based numbers) claimed to have been "ejected improperly" during a clone (using Restore from Disk Utility) and now doesn't show up, even in /dev/, although it is visible as "Unknown" in System Information. (It was visible for a few days before this.)

  • Pavilion G2-b27SA Laptop Won't Boot - Fan Whirs and Hard Disk Light Comes On but Nothing Else

    Hi
My Pavilion G2-b27SA laptop won't boot. The fan whirs, the hard disk and wirless lights come on but nothing happens on-screen and the fan goes quiet after a couple of seconds (to a low whir).
I've gone through and tried the solutions in this thread - http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-e-g-Windows-8/Laptop-will-not-turn-on/td-p/102825 - with no luck. Specifically, I've tried a hard reset and hitting F10 when the laptop tries to boot. Neither has had any effect.
Is there anything else I can try to get the computer working again? If I take it to a laptop repair shop (I'm out of warranty) will they be able to do anything, or is it effectively dead now?
Thanks in advance for your help.

The laptop can always be fixed if you have a bottomless wallet. On a no-start with flashing lights it is likely the motherboard and a motherboard replacement if you have the shop buy the board and bill you for labor will be about $300 give or take 25%. Before we give up, it could be bad memory or a few other less expensive things. Assuming they do not charge too much just to diagnose it; take it to the shop.

  • Get CPU and memory usage

    Hi!
I would like to know if there is any way of getting system CPU and memory usage using Java code.

I want to get the system CPU and memory usage using the performance monitor dll, the perfctrs.dll, but access this data using Java language. Then you should create wrapper dll between your java code and perfctrs.dll and convert data from format of dll to format of your java code.
So, that is next question - how to create wrapper dll, how to deal with or how perfctrs.dll works?

  • Can I use the time capsule as backup and hard disk at the same time?

    Hi.
I want to buy a time capsule.
I wondered, if I can use the time capsule as backup (over time machine) and as a hard disk at the same time?
If I buy the 2TB time capsule, I wanted to use 1TB for the backup and 1TB for hard disk.
    Is this possible?
    Best wishes
    Sophie

It is not recommended.. the problem being anything stored on the TC only is not backed up and cannot be backed up by the TC itself or Time Machine. So what are you going to do about back.. the TC can and do die suddenly.. and the cost of recovery can be huge.
See Q3 here for the semi-right way to do it if you must.
    http://pondini.org/TM/Time_Capsule.html
You can plug a USB drive into the TC and use that for files.. but note, its speed is poor.. fine for wireless as wireless is even slower but you will really notice it if you expect the drive to be as fast as the internal.. it will be a fraction of the internal drive speed. 1/2 write and 1/3 read aprox.
