Get error message that server could not be found when sending email thru iPhoto
I have established a icloud/mobile me account. Trying to use iphoto to send photos with emails and always get error message that server coule not be found.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Why do I get error message that iTunes could not copy x song while syncing
This is not a Touch issue per se, but once in awhile while syncing up on an XP computer, iTunes will give me the error message that it was not able to copy certain songs to the Touch because the orginal could not be found. Funny thing is, when that happens, I don't actually lose the song, but it shows up twice in my library, with an exclamation point next to one of them.
Why does this happen, and is there anything that can be done to prevent it? It has happened on songs I have purchased, as well as CD's I have imported. For the CD songs, I re-imported, and those songs no longer showed up in the list of songs where the orignal could not be found. I just find it strange.AAPL is correct in that it was a duplicate. I deleted the dup (with the exclamation point next to it) and I still have the other song in my library.
I don't believe I ever moved anything, so I'm still not sure why the original song remains and when syncing a duplicate appears with the error message. This has also happened on a music video I bought just days ago. But, whatever, as long as I didn't lose anything no big deal. -
Could not complete your request because of a program error. Getting error message every time I open the program and try to do anything. Have to Force Quit to close. Using a Mac. Your expertise is appreciated!!
Have you tried removing all 3rd party plug-ins?
Also, resetting preferences to defaults may help... Press and hold Command - Shift - Option immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.

I backed up to my PC and attempted restore but I keep getting an error message that "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because not enough free space is available." I have a 32GB iPhone; only 13GB used!!! HELP! iCloud backup/restore did not work either! How can I resolve this problem to restore from back up.
If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades. -
I tried to restore my iPhone 4s through iTunes and received error message that Restore could not be completed due to error 2003. Phone now not recognized in iTunes, with repeated prompts to restore phone. Now phone w/screen with iTunes symbol and USB cord can't use. It appears the phone has been restored, but I cannot activate it.
I disabled my anti-software, iTunes and computer software (microsoft vista) are both up to date, I restarted the computer several times. My usb ports are working properly. I followed the troubleshooting suggestions from apple.yes did you buy it of somebody or a well known company such as apple or carphone warehouse?

When I click on an Icon on my desktop to take me to a site (such as Google) I get a message that it could not find the location. Then it goes ahead and opens a Firefox window with the site anyway as if the message never happened. Then when I close the window I see that the message is still there. I have to close it separately. Any suggestions? Oh, and this only happens if Firefox is NOT already active. If I have another Firefox window open when I click on the Icon, it just opens as expected. This message appears no matter which site Icon I select. It did not happen before I upgraded to ver 9.0.

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

Error message tells me to reset password. After resetting password I get confirmation email that new password is set. As soon as I try to access App Store I get error message that password is not valid.
Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

Have i lost all the music on my computer?iTunes' library keeps track of where your tracks are located. If you move a track, or keep your music on an external drive and don't turn it on before starting iTunes, or your computer's file system becomes corrupted, or iTunes' library gets corrupted, or..., then iTunes goes to where it thinks the file is located, can't find it, and you get !

Phone is only a few months old and was working fine last night - it ran out of battery but on being charged up this morning it was effectively locked. I received an error message that I could not make or receive calls and I had to restore via itunes. I have done so and lost loads of apps etc (my fault for not backing up) but still unable to make or receive calls. Anyone had anything similar and can advise who I should contact or what I can do.

Error message - Original file could not be found
When I open itunes, and try to click on a song, there is an "!" and I get the error message "original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"
It does this for every song. I have to trace it down to "My Music\itunes\itunes\itunes music" and under that I have hundreds of files by artist.
How can I listen to the songs so I don't have to click on each one to make them play?

It sounds like there is only one iTunes database - iTunes Library.itl - file and that it's in your iTunes1 folder. Whether or not that is the case, what I'd like you to do is follow the instructions in this article in the Apple Knowledge Base for opening an alternate iTune Library file. Select the Choose Library option and use the navigtion window that appears to make your way to an .itl file.
Select the .itl and iTunes will open with a Library that may - or may not - be different than what you last saw: somewhat different contents or exclamation marks may be present again.
If it's not a library you're happy with, close iTunes, wait ten seconds or so and then repeat the procedure looking for another .itl file - each one contains references for a different iTunes library.
When you find a library you're happy with, i.e. all the contents are listed and no exclamation marks, make a note of the location of that .itl. It's the one you're going to want to work with.
Using that database file, you can go back to iTunes, right-click various songs > Get Info > Summary tab and look to the bottom of that window to find out where that Library is being directed for those files. Make a note of that location.
When we know those two things, we should be able to proceed from there with deleting things.
In the future, when I buy new songs from apple, where will they automatically get stored?
In the location that's been selected in iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > Advanced tab for the iTunes Music folder.

That brings us back to the beginning of this post, by default the synch goes from iTunes to your iPod. So you shouldn't synch your iPod unless there's a satisfactory Library being displayed in iTunes. -
I'm trying to import a cd to my mac air from my pc. downloadedAbout the Migration and DVD/CD Sharing Update. The mac recognized the pc and the cd , but fails to play or import it. i get the message the cd could not be found. Suggestions?
You can't share/play a music CD using Remote Disk. It's a limitation that Apple built in.
"MacBook Air and Mac mini do not support playing DVD movies or audio CD media with Remote Disc."
Remote Disk is limited to data transfers.
You will have to use the MBA external superdrive, or another compatible external DVD device hooked directly to the Macbook Air.
Otherwise, you will need to rip the CD's contents using your PC and transfer the music as data files.
