Get error msg "Error Check Activation"

Hi folks:
I get this error message "Error Check Activation" when I try and download an EPUB book from my online library. My computer is verified and ADE is up and active. How do I get around this?

I got the same error a couple of times and solved it by restarting Foundation Services. Not the best solution but it worked for me.

Thinkpad L430 Error Msg: 2000 thinkvantage active protection sensor diagnostics failed

One morning after I shutdown my laptop to leave for work and start it up again on the train. It gave me the: 2000 thinkvantage active protection sensor diagnostics failed. Everything is working fine. Is there a fix for this?

No, it happened for the rest of the day, even when I turned on the computer at work on my desk.
I restarted the laptop numerous times and it still gave me that message with the couple of loud beeps.
I believe it is fixed now, though I believe there is 75% chance I have found the reason. I just tried restarting it twice and I wasn't getting the message anymore.
I recall that the previous night, my laptop attempted to update my MS Office 365 but for some reason that update failed. I turned my laptop off and it wasn't when I was on the train the next day that I got the 2000 error message. I used my laptop as usual, nothing but MS office programs. Later that night I did a system restore, but that didn't fix the program, however my office update succeeded. As I cannot think of any other factors, I believe this could have been the reason.

Is your software up to date? You also should be able to leave DFU mode easier then you get in it. DFU mode means nothing is on your iPhone's screen when restoring.

I am using FFnightly and all of a sudden I get the msg Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long) only one one website which I need to access

The website can be accessed ok from another computer in the office. It happened about 3 days ago (I think after an auto update) and I hoped it would clear. I use win8.1. I tried one of the solutions and deleted Cert8db in the profile, but that did not help. I also re-set Nightly and it did not solve the problem.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and may be causing problems with secure connections.

when i'm trying to run a query on 0COOM_CO2 cube, the system is throwing a error msg.
error msg:
     No value could be determined for variable 0P_FVAEX.

     Diagnosis
     This error diagnosis is specific only to the variables 0P_FVAEX or
     0P_CTPCA !
     Termination message BRAIN 632 appears:
     Could not determine value for variable 0P_FVAEX (or 0P_CTPCA).
     System response
     1. Operation method of SAP-Exit-Variables 0P_FVAEX or 0P_CTPCA
     With queries from the CO application, both SAP-Exit-Variables look for
     an entry for 'controlling area'. With this controlling area from the
     selection screen, the SAP-Exit-Variables program reads the attributes
     for InfoObject 0CO_AREA (controlling area).
     With queries from the FI application, the SAP Exit Variable 0P_FVAEX
     looks for an entry for 'company code'. With this company code from the
     selection screen, the SAP Exit Variables program reads the attributes
     for InfoObject 0COMP_CODE (Company Code).

     Using InfoSource 0CO_AREA, load the attributes for the controlling area
     or company code into your BW system.
     Afterwards, activate the attribute changes in your BW system. To do
     this, use transaction rsa1, path 'Tools > Hierarchy/Attribute changes',
     functions button 'InfoObject list'. Choose InfoObject 0CO_AREA or
     0COMP_CODE from this list, and activate the attribute changes.

The variable 0P_FVAEX fills the fiscal year variant based on the following checks in the order:
1. If you have a variable for 0CO_AREA the system looks into the first entry and determines the attribute 0FISCVARNT of 0CO_AREA.
2. The same for 0COMP_CODE.
3. Check if there is a variable for IM Program hierarchy and look for 0FISCVARNT.
4. Check project data for fiscal year variant.
5. Check CO area of the asset.
6. Get Fiscal Year variant from Oracle company(!)
7. Get FY variant from Oracle company code.
8. Get FY variant from Oracle organization.
So you need to use one of these info Objects in your variables.

Receiving error msg while trying to erase authorization in order to re-authorize

When I tried to launch my ebook I received an error msg “error! Check activation”
The help desk asked me to erase my digital editions authorization and re-authorize. I tried to erase my authorization and I received another error msg “unable to Erase Authorization. Please try after some time.”

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that Apple really isn't interested in Macs in the enterprise. It's core customer base is either the home user or movie/publishing people and it just doesn't have time for us poor enterprise people in the middle. The many shortcomings of Apple Remote Desktop from a remote administration point of view (at least on Intel iMacs, on which it's extremely flaky) and the apparent abandonment of this forum by Apple are not encouraging.

I have the same issue...I called Adobe and they said that Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7 ...so I tried installing the suite again without Acrobat and still the same issue....does anyone know if this issue is resolved by getting the new CS5 suite??? there isn't any that's why the compiler is whining at you. Simply
define such a method and you're in business.

I understand that you are getting a 404 message when you access a website from a Mac, not a PC.
First check the cache for the site:
Reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using '''one''' of the following steps:
*Hold down the ''Shift'' key and click the ''Reload'' button with a left click.
OR
*Press ''Command'' + ''Shift'' + ''R'' (Mac)
Second try to [[Delete cookies to remove the information websites have stored on your computer]]

I am not able to download an ebook to my PC. I have windows 7 x64. I get a "Check Activation" error. The question is that I have 2 Adobe users. I have the ebooks associated to one of them but every time I download Adobe Digital Editions, independently from what user I download it, it always create the Adobe Digital Editions associated to the worng user. If I try to delete the Authoritation it says that it is nor posible and recommneds me to try later, but I never get it.
