Get filtered lookup field in sharepoint 2013

Hi,
I have LIST1
Title User
Title1 Spservices
Title2 Spservices
Title3 Spuser
here User column is people/group
LIST 2
how can i get Titles from LIST1 where User= Spservices ([Me]) for TitleLIST1 column in LIST2
Example:
Title TitleLIST1
1 Title1
Title2
Here TitleLIST1 is dropdown (Lookup)

You could consider using a calculated column on the source list that has your filtering built into it. Then look up into this on your target list.

Hi Guys,
I need to update the managed metadata field in SharePoint Custom List using Workflow but its not working. I have also tried to use the HTTP WebService POST Operation but no luck.
Am doing this for a SharePoint Online (O365) Site.
Has anyone worked on something similar and was able to get it running ?
I saw a post to create a custom Workflow Activity but I don't have a choice to go with the custom code option.

I was able to achieve this by creating a SP 2010 based Workflow for O365. Which means that it worked well with SP 2010.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update Managed Metadata field with SharePoint 2013 Designer for SharePoint Online.
As far as I know, there is not an OOB action to achieve your requirement with SharePoint 2013 Designer for SharePoint 2013. Customizing a workflow action is a better option to achieve it. Why didn’t you customize a workflow action as Patrick’s blog?

How to get analytics reports programmatically in SharePoint 2013?

In SharePoint 2010 it was possible to obtain data from web analytics programmatically using Microsoft.Office.Server.WebAnalytics.Reporting.AnalyticsReportFunction class.
How can you get search reports programmatically in SharePoint 2013? Are there new assemblies or classes that can be used to obtain them?
In my scenario, i am mostly interested in the most searched terms at web application or service application level.
In SharePoint 2013 the Web Analytics Service Application was merged into the Search Service Application. It seems now that the old assemblies used for this (Microsoft.Office.Server.WebAnalytics.dll
and Microsoft.Office.Server.WebAnalytics.UI.dll) are not available any more.
They are available in the user interface as Excel reports, in CA->Application Management->Manage Service Applications->Search Service Application->Usage Reports , but I am interested to obtain these reports programmatically.
Is this scenario still supported in SP 2013?

Add datetime property to "MetaInfo" field using SharePoint 2013 CSOM

When uploading a file along with metadata using SharePoint FP RPC (using the "method= put document") it allows me to properly add datetime properties. My metainfo looks like this:
"MetaInfo":"...MyCustomDate:TW|05 Jan 2015 12:58:31 -0000\r\n..."
Then later on, when I try to update "MyCustomDate" property from the "MetaInfo" field using CSOM, it fails while updating it. (In this case I am using CSOM because I am updating some more fields and I want to avoid extra round-trips)
After that update my metainfo looks like this:
"MetaInfo":"...MyCustomDate:FX|0x01d028e7|0x4d1c4880\r\n..."
Does anyone know why?, is there any workaround?

Setting default value for lookup column in Sharepoint 2013 via powershell

Hi,
when I try to use the 2010 version of setting a default value to a lookup column ( colum.defaultvalue="1;#Open"), this is not longer supported in SharePoint 2013. The defaultvalue is always the alphabetically sorted first entry in the source
list.
How can I change this?

You can set the default value of a look-up column. The code is very simple, just need to take care of the code below.

$l = $w.Lists["MyDocumentLibrary"]
$lf = $l.Fields["lookupColumn"]

$lf.ParseAndSetValue($i,"1;#lookupvalue") #1;#lookupvalue refers to the ID of the lookup item and the value of the lookup item.

I am working with SharePoint 2013 designer workflow. we are using office 365.
Our requirement to send email to multiple users, get the user groups from lookup list people and groups column.
But SP designer sending emails to the first user alone.
Please guide me to proceed.

finally I got a solution
Identified a workaround to solve the issue using SharePoint designer.
Step 1
Create a lookup list Example department
Columns
Title (by default) – Single line of text
Users – Person or Group
Emails – Multiple lines of text
hidden the Emails column (go to content type and set the column as hidden)
Create a SharePoint designer Workflow
Start Workflow automatically when an item is created
Also Start Workflow automatically when an item is changed
Workflow Stage 1
Set Emails to current Item: Users
The workflow will get all users email ids and add in the Emails column delimiter as semicolon.
Step 2
Create a custom list to get the email ids and send email
Create a lookup column ex: analysis and refer department list, Allow multiple values
Then Create a SharePoint designer workflow

Content Types updates not getting pushed to Lists/Libraries Sharepoint 2013

Hello,
We have updated Content Type at Content Type Hub(ex. Making columns Hidden/Req...etc..). These changes are pushed to the consumer sites site level Content types but the problem is these changes are not reflecting at List/Library level Content type.
Is there a way to explicitly push down the changes ?

perform the changes to the ContentType make sure to push changes to the lists while updating the ContentType.
For now, you might need to perform some clean-up job here, just to make sure the field is deleted from all the lists, with your Custom ContentType. Use the following PowerShell script for clean-up! Vårsegod :)

Issue in mapping custom user profile property with AD field in SharePoint 2013

I am trying to map a custom user profile property i created "ADSecurityGroups", type - String, Multivalue with the AD propoerty named "memberOf" via powershell.
UserProfile Service is up and running, and so is the Synchronization Service. User executing the powershell has full control on the User Profile Service and is the farm administrator.
Following is the code snippet i grabbed from the internet which i am trying to execute.

Can someone post a script to hide the fields on the out of the box New form of a particular list ?

You can still edit form pages within SPO. Embedding that script should work. Have you tested it?
As an alternative, you can set some of the column properties (such as

Attachment field in sharepoint 2013

Hi,
I have a custom list and customized the list using infopath 2013.Here i have created 2 views as Employee and manager.I have added one attachment field in both views.
Here my problem is that i want manager should not able to delete the attachment attached by the employee but manager can able to open the attachment.
Please help me to do this .

How to give link to a Lookup field in sharepoint?

This is my first time in working in sharepoint and i am also learning sharepoint. I have a Parent List named "Orders" and "Tasks" as child list. I was able to link both the list. In the Orders list, i have a lookup
colums that shows the count of Tasks for that Order. In that column, it just showing nos but what i need is that when i click on the no, i should show the list of tasks related to that Order in a popup window. How should i do that?

create a new aspx page, form1.aspx , wich will show all Tasks's items
add a param as querystring , name it param_Orders , insert as filter for the DFWP orders to be equal to
param_Orders
open the page using SharepoinDesigner
go to code and select nos
add this code

This way you will open a new window with tasks's items filtered by order name value

How to write FQL in querytext field in SharePoint 2013 Search REST API?

I am having double quote symbol issue in my search app, same as http://www.silver-it.com/node/127 says.
To avoid this issue, I am trying to understand: is it possible to do search request in FQL to the 2013 Search REST web service?
I know that we can use KQL in querytext, like

But is it possible to write it in FQL? I found that there is a enableFQL property we can set in REST API. What's the function of it?

Associated Items Field in SharePoint 2013

Hi ,
I have two custom lists :
- Products List which contains the list of products ( child list)
- Products Category List which contains the list of categories ( parent list)
- A lookup column in the Products List which point to the Products Category List.
My requirement is to show in the parent list 'Category List' the list of products of the child list associated for each category with the ability of editing and deleting the product directly in the 'category List'.
How to accomplish this requirement.
Any help will be appreciated.

update the category list edit form and add connected webpart displays the products
