Get Gmail on iPhone _and_ Macbook?

I'd love to be able to pull my Gmail on my iPhone during the day and then download all the day's messages into Mail on my Macbook at night.
Unfortunately, when the iPhone gets a message (using POP) it's marked as "downloaded" so that when Mail connects it won't download the message.
Until Gmail supports IMAP, is there any other way around this? Other than using the Gmail web interface?
PS. I did find that you can go into Gmail and temporarily "Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)." That works, but it's a crappy solution.

This is rather unusual, because my mail shows up perfectly on both my iPhone and my Mac...
I receive all my mail to both, regardless of whether i opened the message.
You may want to check to see if your settings on gmail.com for forwarding are correct.

After connecting to your Mac by USB download directly to Photos or to Image Capture.
If iTunes does not copy from your photo libraries to the iPhone, it looks like you enabled iCloud Photo Library on your iPhone. Then iTunes will no longer sync photos, and My Photo Stream will no longer stream from your Mac to your Phone.
Try to disable iCloud Photo Library in Settings > Photo&Camera.

I just updated my MacBook Pro from Leopard to Snow Leopard. Now I can't get my gmail to open on the computer. It opens on my iPhone, but not on the computer. Any suggestions?

The Apps that you bought and use on your Macbook are based on the OS X operating system. The Apps your iPhone can use are based on iOS as an operating system. They are not compatible. You will need to purchase iOS versions of the Apps you want for your iPhone from the iTunes Store.

Your MacBook is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8, which is the minimum required to install the current version of iTunes and sync devices running iOS 7. It doesn't need to be compatible with Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks.
