Get instant on software

Hello there.
After a crash, I had to change my hard disk and reinstall all software (from HP drivers and software support web).
However, the instant on software (to boot the touchsmart faster and lighter than using Windows) doesn't work. It seems it is not installed properly.
How can I get the sotware of this light operaring system again?

Thank you for responding to my post requesting additional information. I have gone to the HP TouchSmart tm2-2150es Notebook PC Product Specifications page and it does list HP QuickWeb as software that comes with your computer. Unfortunately, when I go to the HP TouchSmart tm2-2150es Notebook PC Drivers page there is no download for the HP QuickWeb software. There is for HP Quick Launch, but that is different software does something completely different.
Now as I said sometimes the only place to get the HP QuickWeb software that will work on your computer is from the download page or your recovery partition. There is no software for you to download from your drivers page, but you may still be able to download and install it from elsewhere. I am providing you with a link to the HP QuickWeb Software download page for systems running Windows 7 64-bit. This may not work on your system, but it is worth a try.
I am also providing you with the HP Support document: Set Up and Use HP QuickWeb Applications, just in case it does work as this will help you get it set up.

Backup your data.
To perform a factory restore, repeatedly tap the F11 Key at boot to enter the recovery manager. Follow the screen prompts.
If no go, use the recovery disks hopefully you created when you got the computer. If not and if you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks. If not via the WorldWide site: http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/support.html

I am experiencing the exact same issue during the installtion process for iTunes 10.5.
I uninstalled all Apple components but when I attempted to uninstall the Apple Software Update I received the same message: "Fatal error during installtion." I was able to repair the Apple Software Update but still could not install iTunes 10.5 afterwards.
I have tried everything that I could find on these discussions pages as well as other suggestions on third party sites. What do you mean by "fast"? The only way for you is to connect your phone to iTunes and click "Udate. If this seems to dowload too slow, disable ALL security apps (firewall, antivirus, etc.) when updating.

If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:

After you install the base 10.5, download & install the 10.5.8 combo update at http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update

Caution - Leopard does not support classic mode. So, if you currently open OS 9 apps in classic mode, you won't be able to do this if you upgrade to Leopard.

Maybe because it's not a 'genuine' retail version? Many OEM versions just don't work - and I've no idea which flavor of Win7 your friend downloaded. Obviously one that Boot Camp doesn't recognize. Best to just pony up the cash for a full retail version, of some flavor - and use it. You COULD, of course, download the 14-day trial version of Parallels Desktop and see if you can install Win7 as a virtual machine... it might or might not work. Boot Camp just isn't finding the resources it needs on the copy you have - try Parallels and if that doesn't work just purchase a retail (or student discounted) version.

That seems to be supported only up through 10.5.7 and probably needs Rosetta for it to run.
Rosetta is not included in 10.7.
If this is the case, you may need to partition your hard drive, install Windows on it, and use that partition for your work.

In the Facebook app when I click on the notifications it says "See how to get instant updates on your phone" at the top. It doesn't go away from the top unless I enable push notifications for it. However, i don't want that. Help?

There are 3 ways to exit a fullscreen app:
Escape key
Command+Control+F
Hover the cursor at the top of the screen until the menu bar drops down then clcik the Arrow icon on the top right.
