Get_ldapmessage_controls failed: 12 (Unavailable critical extension) (op=Ab

I'm running iPlanet Directory Server 5.1 SP3. I have a W2K consumer and a HPUNIX 11.0 supplier/hub. I keep getting this message in the W2K instance's error's log. Replication is not in sync.
In the Supplier hub's errors log I"m getting the following error:
[13/Jun/2005:02:21:15 -0400] - synchronize(repl_bind error)
[13/Jun/2005:10:57:27 -0400] - Error: repl_bind: slapd_SSL_client_bind_s failed: Can't contact LDAP server (81) err 0
Could someone please point me in the right direction on this? BTW, I work for an enormous corporation that moves real slow, so please don't come back to me with, "well, have you thought about upgrading to SP4 or SunOne 5.2?" I swear if I hear that again I'm going to go insane.
I have no say on what we run around here. I'm only an administrator in training.
Thanks.

Sorry, this is the full error I'm getting on the W2K box.

  • Failed to load extension com.NAI.SysCallExt

    In system preferences, I made 'cd' my startup disk.
    Now, when I try to override and startup from hard disk, computer screen ends up with a black box in middle of screen.
    command-v yields text that includes this statement several times in yellow: "Failed to load extension com.NAI.SysCallExt.

    SOLUTION???

    -1-
    I had backups of most important documents.
    -2-
    I never heard of Terminal.app, and many of the other applications mentioned throughout this thread. I'm sure I'm typical of the majority of Mac users. Now, I will read up on them!
    -3-
    I decided that (1) since my essential docs were backed up, and (2) it seemed obvious what the major instigator was (TechTool 3.0.3), I decided to take the risk and use DiskWarrior NEXT, rather than taking a different strategy.
    -4-
    DiskWarrior successfully, and as far as I can tell, completely recovered my directory and files, so that I am now up and running again.
    -5-
    Even though a warning bulletin was posted and several discussions occurred on this site, surely Apple and MicroMat could act more proactively to keep their customers informed. That said, it was MY fault for not having at least consulted the latest information before using the disk utility.

  • Certificate contains unsupported critical extensions

    Hi,
    I have a Java client talking to the Active Directory and SunOne directory servers.
    During SSL Handshake with a directory server, when there is no trusted cert for a domain, Java client reads the cert using the code below and stores in locally for the next SSL handshake. It worked fine so far except in one use case: Local truststore has cert for the sunone domain and while trying to download the cert for active directory (2003), it throws java.security.cert.CertificateException: Certificate contains unsupported critical extensions: [2.5.29.17].
    Any one has any idea? SSL log is attached hoping that it helps you in understanding the problem I am facing.

  • Command+V = Failed to load extension?

    Ok so here's what I get after command+V:
    Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.applemacriscAGP
    Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.applemacriscPCI
    Couldn't alloc class AGP
    Then it keeps repeating:
    Still waiting for root device
    Does anyone know what to do? If I just let it boot up normally (without hitting Command+V) I can't get past the initial Gray screen with the Apple on it. I have tried many things to no avail. I have reloaded the OS many times.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi! Have you booted from the install disc and tried repairing the drive? If you've re-installed to no avail then have you run a hardware test? Tom

  • Extension install failing Adobe Exchange extension

    Mutiple users, our test systems from Mac and Windows are failing when installing extensions from the Adobe Exchange extension.
    Install Extension from Adobe Exchange Panel in Adobe CC application, Ps, Ai, Id,…
              click to download extension
              installing
              ask to open Extension Manger CC, choose yes
    Extension Manager CC
              Asked to quit Adobe CC application
              Sometimes: in Adobe CC application Panel shows "Installation failed. Please close Extension Manager and try again."
              Quit Adobe CC application, click Retry
              Extension Manager error - "File cannot be found... Extension will not be installed."
    Result: Installed extension not shown installed in Extension Manager or Adobe Exchange Panel, but extension is installed.
    Attempting to reinstall has same failure. Extension is installed, but has no method to remove.
    Note installing steps in Panel and in Extension Manager can last 5+ minutes.

    I am sorry about that. These extensions should have been specified force-quit="true" in mxi file by their producers. This attribute means that the application must be closed in order to install these extensions. Because the Exchange Panel runs in applications, so these extensions can't be installed by Exchange Panel. User have to quit applications and launch Extension Manager to install them. This is bad user experience so we  hope the extension developers use this attribute only if it is indeed necessary.
    To get the real root cause, please create a file named ExManCoreLibLog.YES in the "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log" (Windows) or "/Users/<UsreName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log" folder (Mac), then launch Extension Manager CC and reproduce your problem, then send the ExManCoreLibrary.log in this folder to [email protected] Thanks!

  • AIR - MilkManGames GameCenter ANE - Error: Failed creating GameCenter Extension Context.

    I am having trouble testing the IOS GameCenter functionality. I have been using the ANE extension purchased from MilkManGames.
    When I call GameCenter.create( stage ) I get this error:
    Error: Failed creating GameCenter Extension Context.
    If I try to access the GameCenter features after this I get this error:
    Error: GameCenter not initialized; call GameCenter.create() first.
    Does this ring any bells to anyone? Please help... very.. frustrated....
    Thanks in advance,
    Charles

    Actually, I think my problem was that the .ANE file was not getting pointed to in the Flash Library Path. You just need to be sure you directly import the .ANE file as you would a .SWC. Just thought I'd share in case there was anyone out there with the same problem. I am now past this hurdle ;-)

  • IMac won't boot - Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.applemacriscAGP

    Hello, so I have an iMac G4 17" (running 10.4) and it was unfortunately not connected to a very good surge protector. The power surged and a fuse blew and now when I try starting it up it chimes and then just sits at the gray screen with the apple logo. Here's what I've tried:
    Booting into verbose and single-user modes, this is what happens:
    Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.applemacriscPCI
    Couldn't alloc class AGP
    Still waiting for root device
    Still waiting for root device
    Still waiting for root device etc.
    Booting into Open firmware mode:
    I'm able to do everything just fine, including resetting the nvram
    Resetting PRAM:
    Works fine, chimes when appropriate
    Starting from Tiger install DVD:
    Works just fine, I'm able to access all the utilities and was able to copy files off to a flash drive with the terminal. I used Disk Utility to repair the drive and repair the permissions, both of which ran successfully. I did a clean install of Tiger and then repaired the drive and permissions. I selected the new install on the hard drive as the default start-up disk. Still it sits at the gray screen and I still get those same errors in Verbose and Single-User modes.
    I found the source code (a cpp file) for the com.apple.driver.applemacriscPCI, but don't really know how to compile it and what headers are necessary etc, and even if I did I don't know where I would put it since the problem can't be on the hard drive after I did a clean install. I have not yet tried completely reformatting the drive before an install but doesn't the installer do that anyway?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    There may be some circuit damage in the computer; due to the surge of power.
    Sometimes, a computer and its owner get lucky and when a surge disables a
    Macintosh, a reset of the Power Management Unit (PMU) can help restore the
    normal functions. Often, when this works, the computer may not go past the
    grey screen at all, until the PMU is reset.
    Instead of a simple surge protector, my computers are powered through a
    backup power supply; an uninterruptable power unit with battery backup.
    These also have automatic voltage regulation. Forget common protectors!
    On the iMac G4 series, the PMU reset button is under the metal plate on the
    bottom and is hard to see. There may be instructions with images available
    online, perhaps in Apple Support's knowledge-base. This would also be in
    the official service manual in pdf electronic documentation, for a tech repair.
    How to reset PMU in iMac G4:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1712
    You may have to see if the Apple Hardware Test can show error codes and
    other hints of hardware damages; and perhaps a tech visit is not far off...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • The server does not support the requested critical extension (0x8007202c)

    Hello guys,
    The sympton is the same as the one in "The
    server does not support the requested critical extension." Exception.
    I got the error in calling IDirectorySearch::GetNextRow. As I observe, the error is trigger when retrieving the another page of records. The LDAP path to connect is "GC://<FQDN_of_GC>". The search filter is (&(|(objectClass=group)(objectClass=msExchDynamicDistributionList))(mailnickname=*)).
    There are about 100 thousands of group objects in the forest. So the answer in that thread does not help.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your remind of the server is Windows 2008 R2.
    After deep research on this topic, there were a couple of possible causes. One was based on asking AD to do sorting on the results of the query. Our calls to AD do not do any sorting at all. The other I came to was a couple of pages that may help alleviate
    the problem of groups in large AD environments. It has to deal with the temporary table size that Active Directory uses, with the tunable parameter MaxTempTableSize.
    The articles as below are for your reference:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/95bfb95f-4e43-4dd8-ac3a-0c89d2cf528e
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315071
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms677927(VS.85).aspx
    Besides, if the above is not the cause of our issue, there may be something wrong in the C# code. Since I just an AD engineer and not familiar with the C# code, I suggest you should involve one C# code engineer to work with us about this issue. After doing
    many research, please add the class of the object when searching. For example, “DirectorySearcher ds = new DirectorySearcher(de, filter,class)”. I’m not sure if it’s correct, just a suggestion.
    Hope to hear good news from you soon. Happy X'MAS day!
    Best regards,
    Bryan

    "weblogic.management.DeploymentException: org.jboss.weld.exceptions.DeploymentException: WELD-001408 Unsatisfied dependencies for type [SampleExtension] with qualifiers [@Default] at injection point [[field] @Inject private test.ApplicationBean.extension]"

    The problem can be easily reproduced by a minimal case with the following structure:
    war-root
         WEB-INF
             beans.xml
             lib
                somejar.jar
    And with somejar.jar having the following structure:
    test
        ApplicationBean.java
        SampleExtension.java
    META-INF
        services
            javax.enterprise.inject.spi.Extension
        beans.xml
    ApplicationBean can looks as follows:
    @Named
    @ApplicationScoped
    public class ApplicationBean {
        @Inject
        private SampleExtension extension;
        @Inject
        private BeanManager manager;
        public void myMethod() {
            System.out.println("Extension:" + extension + " Manager:" + manager);
    And SampleExtension can be:
    public class SampleExtension implements Extension {
        public void onBeanDiscovery(@Observes AfterBeanDiscovery beanDiscovery, BeanManager beanManager) {
            out.println("Extension called");
    I published a minimal web application (as Maven multi-module project) that reproduces the case here: https://github.com/arjantijms/inject-extension
    This application runs fine on basically every other Java EE server (tried specifically JBoss EAP 6.1, GlassFish 4.0 and TomEE 1.5.2), but not on WebLogic 12.1.2.
    Note that I'm not really a WebLogic user. I'm an open source library writer who's trying to make our library (OmniFaces) to run on all Java EE implementations. This case is part of a functionality in our upcoming release.

    Hi,
    If it is war then try to apply following  Patch 13893259.

  • NW CE 7.2 SDN Evaluation install fails on JCE Extension Jurisdiction Policy

    Hello,
    I am installing on Win XP SP3. I have been running MaxDB for a couple months now and want to install NW CE 7.2. I am going through the install and can't seem to get past the JCE Extension Jurisdiction files. I already have the latest Java environments installed and have downloaded the JCE files off Service Marketplace as well as Sun. I get to the screen that asks for the location of these files and I "browse" to the location and there are  2 files, a local and a export version. I have tried both of those and it fails with a message stating the files are incorrect. I tried to pas the directory containing these files and the error msg states "File not found".
    I searched this forum, but there are no messages on JCE,... Anyone come across this issue and if so how did you get by. I don't really even need these so if there is a way to bypass the entire Crypto requirement.
    TIA,
    Pat

    Hi,
    The installer is searching for the ZIP archive with the two files.
    So, don't unpack the archive, point the installer to the downloaded zip-file.
    Best Regards,
    Edward

    Does anyone know why it would fail on this update? I was able to do some of the earlier updates, but then failed on these.
