Get Media Content Message

Hi I have the HTC Trophy and I was texting someone and they sent me a message and it came up as Get Media Content. I clicked on it and it said "getting media content" but then a few seconds later, it was back to the original message. Does anybody know how to fix this or why it is doing that? Thanks!

First, use the search bar and type Flash in. You'll see thousands on this subject. You can download apps from the App Store, such as iSwifter or Puffin, which work with some degree of success, but not always 100%.

Get media content now

Received my Lumia 920 a week ago, I have been fighting with Vodacom in South Africa for 5 days now around getting MMS working. Vodacom say its Nokia who have to provide me with the MMS settings but I cannot find any solution to getting MMS working on the Vodacom network. If I try send a MMS, I get an error saying my message cannot be sent and when I receive a message it says "Get media content now", if I click on the message, the phone reports "getting media content" it plays a sound but nothing further happens, I then receive repeated notifications saying "Get media content now" about 10 or 15 times over a period of an hour, any help would be appreciated

Did you check the Settings>access point? In many cases the correct settings are in the app database an will setup automatically. You might want to do a search on these forums as this has been covered many times before. If this app is missing scan the QR code below on your phone to get it.
On the vodacom site they only offer sending a settings SMS or using USSD, both are not supported by WIndows phone (you could try the SMS option though). These setting are carrier dependent and so should be provided by the carrier.
A quick look at settings for the Nokia C7 I found this and that should translate pretty well to settings for Lumia:
Connection name: Vodacom
Internet APN
Accesspoint name: internet
Proxy address: 169.006.128.012
Proxy port: 8080
Username: [blank]
Password: [blank]
MMS APN
MMS Access point name: mms.vodacom.net

They should have the settings available for manual entry just like any other carrier has. If the above does not work contact them again and demand to speak to a manger as they should have these settings and it seems you ran into a clueless agent here. As this is basically Vodafone you might try and shoot their HQ a message to complain on this.

"Get media content now" without data connection?

Hi all.
I have a prepaid sim in my Lumia because I use it very little. When I got my Lumia charged and running 2 weeks ago, I had the equivalent of over $240 credit on my SIM card, "Data connection" was switched on and once the Lumia was running, I sent one single text message with the word "testing" to my daughter. Next day I was horrified when my provider sent me a message "you have less than 10 Francs credit". I called Swisscom and they told me that the day before, my Lumia had gobbled up more than the equivalent of $150 and that THAT day so far it had used up over $80. I felt absolutely sick. Normally 100 Swiss Francs lasts me for a year.
They told me to switch off the Data connection and just use wifi. But now, when my daughter sends me a picture, I just get that blasted "Get media content now" message.
I simply cannot afford the data connection. I could get images and multimedia content messages fine with my late departed and much-missed E7 and even my old Communicator could pick up multi-media via wifi. so why the step back with the Lumia ??? And is there any way I can get e.g. multimedia images without a data connection (I already tried the aircraft mode on/off trick with no luck).
Our entire family have been Nokia customers since they first made mobile phones but by now I am the only one of us who has persevered (thanks to the Communicator then the E7) but I hate this bloody Lumia 900 thing which I received as a replacement for my non-charging E7. I swear I am going to put it on ebay and get myself an Iphone and will never buy a Nokia again.

The 150+ SFr was presumably from a phone software update. I didn't send an MMS message but an SMS = one word only.
I checked that the wifi icon was on at all times but the Nokia seems to look first for G3. Because Nokia didn't even have the courtesy of sending me a manual or user instructions of any kind (or charger or SIM removal pin or headphones) when they sent me this phone, I didn't think of checking the data connection setting to be honest.
Last night I wasted a further 7 hours trying to install Zune on my XP PC.. It said it couldn't install because Media Centre needed updating to Rollup 2 or later. I already HAVE all the Media Centre updates, went to Microsoft, wanted to download it again, they wanted verification but when I ran their verification tool I was told that the verification tool was outdated and to use the later version - yes, and that on the Microsoft website..
After 7 hrs of going round in circles, I went to bed at 5 a.m. and today went to Swisscom and got myself an Iphone 4. I have better things to do than to spend 7 hours trying to install software..
OK, it's another rant but I am mightily dissatisfied with Nokia - even the keypad keeps rolling itself up when I try to enter something. so to enter a 10 digit phone number takes a total of about 30+ taps because the damn keypad disappears before I can tap on a number. Incredible.

Getting media content to download on nokia lumia 6...

thanks very much for your reply Im sorry it was not helpful as I have tried every permutaion of all the ons and offs, of wfi data roam dont roam, data on and off. so I have now, no not thrown it across the room as I would have liked but manually collected all my contacts and stuff already in the phone and reset back to factory settings
Now I can get media content in my text messages. Hoorah!!!

Cannot get media content in text

I received a few texts that contained media content. When i clicked on "Get media content now", it said that it was getting media content but it never downloaded it. Is there some setting I need to change or something?

hi mate, this is a case of you needing to activate MMS with your network carrier. they should also be able to send u the settings via SMS of which you open them and tap Save. also ensure that you are up to date with the latest version of Nokia system apps, namely Access Point and Network+.

Downloaded movie, get "no content" message

I connected my iTunes account to Disney Movies Anywhere app, and purchased (unlocked) the Disney movie Frozen in both iTunes and Disney Movies Anywhere. The movie shows up in my "purchased" tab in the iTunes Store app, but when I select watch, get the message "No Content". When I go back to the iTUnes store and find the movie again, the icon "Watch" is shown instead of "buy/purchase". When I select "Watch", I get the same "No Content" message. What should I do to get the content on my phone or watch the movie? Thanks

How do I deal with the "Getting Media" error message?

I am new to PhotoShop Elements 10 and am in the process of learning to import and catagorize pictures. To date I have imported about 50 pictures. About a week ago, I scanned a picture and got the following message entitled "Getting Media" Basically it said the following.
Nothing was imported. The file(s) or folder(s) selected to import did not contain any supported file types, or the file(s) are already in this folder.
Reason: The file exists in the catalog.
File: C:/Users/Liz/AppData/Local/Te...2014-2-19-0823/imaged.Jpeg
I cannot fild the picture in the catalog or even in my computer. (Which doesn't mean it's not there!) I have also searched through the HELP files and found nothing that I recognized as relevant. I checked with Epson, and we deemed that the scanner works.
I don't know if this is relevant, but the last time the process of getting the pictures was when I imported pictures from my camera.

Why do i continuously get corrupted content message after installing newest updates?

I use Project Free TV quite a bit. It was working great, but after I installed new updates for Firefox, most of the links don't work and gives me Corrupted Content message. The links work fine through Explorer.
For example:

Appears to synch but get "no content" message

here's the situation
everything appears to work fine EXCEPT no actual content is transferred. the appleTV menu shows the list i tried to send but when I go to play them (video tv shows bought on itunes) it says "no content". the menu sometimes has shown more of the ones i sent, sometimes less, but always "no content". once one started then stopped, then no content.
i've tried restarting itunes many times, tried resending many times. same thing. i'm wondering if distance could be a key factor though wireless has a strong signal and is reliable on other macs all over the house.
no firewalls or anything unusual on my system that i know of

Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads
Content imported from your CDs will have to imported again
The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). Without details of the issues you're seeing it is difficult to suggest a remedy other than going through the media album-by-album, track-by-track, and correcting the inconsistencies.
In the absence of a backup or access to the original library data there is no option other than painstakingly recreating your library as described above. As you do so, you'll now realize how important creating and maintaining backups are - in my case I have at all times three separate duplicates of my library, in two different locations, where none is ever more than a week old compared to the content of my master library.

earlier we are moving a page ,document from one site to another sub site with in the Site Collection.
Now,we are getting a un-readable format error.
After selecting the destination we are getting the error.
and the file can't move.
What might me be the error.
Expecting answers related to my question.
1.As we can do using Internet Explorer,
2. Using Send To also we can move.
Using this Site Content and structure we can maintain Versoining also.
If any one face the same issue then we can easily find out the solution.
