Get msg that i NEED adobe flash
I've downloaded Flash 4 times, now showing up in my program list, but when i try to use it, it says I NEED adobe flash??????
I am going to refrain from making any remarks on Norton / Symantec, but only address the issue at hand.
Download the following
FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html (save to disk);
FP offline installer(s)
for Internet Explorer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe (save to disk);
for all other browsers http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe (save to disk);
AR 9.3 installer (English version) http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/AdbeRdr930_en_US.exe (save to disk);
AR 9.3.1 update http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.1/misc/AdbeRdrUpd931_all_incr.msp (save to disk);
Now close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller, followed by the installers.

by installing from within Firefox, Internet Explorer has its own version (Active-X).

Do not install additional products: including -- "Free! McAfee Security Scan Plus" or "Google Chrome". If the above fails to correct the problem, I would try uninstalling Adobe Flash from your system entirely first, from the control panel then "Programs and Features". -
When I am told that I need Adobe Flash - What app can I use on my Ipad2?
I am being told that I need either Adobe Flash on another flash program to run certain sites of read certain e-mails. When I try to download Adobe I am told that there is a conflict with Apple. Is there an App that I can use to view Flash items?

Seeveral times while atttempting to access various web sites I get the message can not access because I do not have Adobe Flash.
Email the webmaster of the sites, tell him or her to get into the 21st century and stop using Flash.

There is no Flash player that is compatible with the iPhone.
Doesn't Weight Watchers have an app for the iPhone and if so, is the function you are trying to access not available with the Weight Watcher's iPhone app? -
I download Adobe Flash but it doesn't install. Each time I encounter something that needs Adobe Flash it tells me I don't have it. I am getting tired downloading it and then it isn't there.

Those are the ones you downloaded. Ten times, apparently. Since install_flash_player_10_osx.dmg already existed, the next download was appended with -1. The next -2, etc. They'll all be identical, so it doesn't matter which one you use. Though I'd go with the last one as it may be a slightly updated version from the first download, depending on how long ago you did the first one.
A .dmg file is a Disk Image. When you double click them, they open up a pseudo drive on the desktop. When you open one of these ten items, the Flash installer will appear in a file window. Run it to install Flash. Then close the file window (displaying from the psuedo drive) and then put the "drive" in the trash to dismount it. You can then delete all of those.
Looks like you also downloaded the Adobe Reader twice. Versions 10.1.2 and 10.1.3. Also Skype, whatever the Thomson thing is, and an unnecessary Flash uninstaller (the Flash installer will put an uninstaller in the Utilities folder). -

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.

Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that." -

You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)

Skyfire is Not the answer! Bad reviews and you have to pay to try.
I used Puffin Free Browser. Worked perfectly with a 14 day free trial for Flash. It worked well for Flash videos so I would buy the full version. -

I tried to upgrade to Firefox 3.6.1 from 3.5 and now I get a msg that I need to reboot to complete a previous install of Firefox. I have rebooted several times.
