i would like to erase my ipod and get my photos off it back onto my computer. i dont know how

How did you get them on your iPod in the first place? Usually doing the reverse of that is the best way to do it.
If your pictures are in the default photos folder(pictures that you have saved directly to your iPod), then I don't know of a way to do that.

Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process cannot be deleted direct on the iPhone.

How to get white screen off ipod touch

im having trouble getting the white screen off my ipod touch and it wont turn off either and when it does go off eventually when it comes back on the white screen is showing again

Try the following. You will likely have to let the battery fully drain
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Iphone, Ipod touch and a new computer

Hi all, lengthy post so here goes...
I had an older computer that I had synced with my Ipod touch and newly purchased Iphone. Some how the old computer decided to pack it in and I can't access the internet on it. I purchased a new computer, installed itunes 8.2 onto it and synced the ipod touch to it. then tried to sync the iphone. Now, on itunes, the library has all my songs and movies on it, when I sync my ipod touch where my movies are they show up, however when I sync the iphone in the "device" section where the iphone shows up, all the songs are printed in light grey and in the library section they are printed black. When I try to move anything to the iphone from the library it won't let me. From my research it seems that I can only link my iphone to one computer, which happens to be the computer no longer working to access the internet to deauthorize the iphone on that computer, so what do I do. I only want it for the one computer but I can't fix this other computer to allow access to the internet on THAT computer.
Anyone with SIMPLE solutions please help

Make a new Apple ID for her.
Use it on her iPhone 4S for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.
Use your ID on her iPhone 4S for iTunes and App Stores.
Sign in with your Apple ID on iTunes Store (on iTunes app of her new computer)
Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one.

Trying to get my pics off my enV3 and onto my laptop NEED HELP!!

I have it all set up to get my pics on the pc... i have the sofware and stuff on here, but when I plug my phone into the computer, it just says that it is ready to use, but my photos don't come up.... I am curious if anyone knows how to do this?

You need an SD card in the phone, and the pics need to be saved on the card, to transfer them to the computer. If you have the pics on the card, and the phone is plugged in via USB cable:
On the phone, go to Menu >> Settings and Tools >> Toos >> USB Mass Storage
Then, look on your computer. You should see a drive letter that is your phone, and if you open that you should see folders with your pix, sounds, etc.

Is it possible to get my pictures from my touch to back onto pc?

I have some photos which are on my ipod touch which I want to get printed off, they were saved on a memory card too but ive lost it. Luckily (sort of) I transfered them to my touch before.
On my netbook they are under "my pictures" in "ipod cache" folder but when I click on that folder it doesnt show the pictures at all, do you have any suggestions? I understand that when I initially transfered the pictures from my netbook to ipod touch that it converts it to a certain type of file and saves it in this "cache folder" but I can't view them therefore can't print them.

2 iPhones, 1 ipod touch and only 1 computer

I have an iphone 4 my wife has an iphone 3gs and my son has a ipod touch but we have just the 1 computer. My question is we all want differant music, apps calender ect..How do I do this with just the 1 computer. Before my wife and son got their apples it was fine but my wife tried to connect hers and now neither of us can get anything + it now won't allow me to update the software on itunes...HELP We all have seperate email adds but for some reason this has no effect

I've tried on my 4th Gen Ipod Touch and on tha computer... but when I try to purchase something it keeps saying my address is invalid and its not... and so it won't lemme download anything and I dunno wut to do...

There are a number of threads about it - it looks like Apple recently updated their address validation. Some people have recorded success by :
ensuring that their iTunes account address is exactly the same as appears on their credit card bill
putting something in the second line of the address (including just copying the first line)
expanding abbreviations e.g. St to Street, Ave to Avenue etc (or conversely abbreviating)
putting apartment or suite number on the second address line

Trying to get Pics off Ipod-Not mounting on New Computer

So my laptop got stolen...6 years worth of pics - Gone. They stole my backup drive too. Bummer. Good news is they didn't get my 5th gen 80g Video iPod which has my photo library on it. While waiting for my new laptop, I've set up as a new user on my wife's new white MacBook and plugged in the ipod to see if I can put it into disk mode and see if those photos are even full res or not (3,500 photos-4gig...should be, right? Not sure how I synced it before, but 4gig tells me there's gotta be some resolution there.)
Plugged the iPod in with the USB2...nothing. Didn't show up in iTunes, nor in finder. This is a brand new iTunes with nothing in it (just using this user acct/laptop as a temp) and it's never met this iPod... but then again, that's the same deal when I plug in and charge my iPhone up (don't sync it, obviously) yet it shows up in iTunes and I get the device window with all the info, color coded memory allocation, sync prefs, music, photo, info tabs..etc...but when I do the same with this iPod, no dice.
So since I could do nothing, I had to wince and unplug it and soft reset to get the frozen "Do Not Disconnect" screen off, and about had a heart attack doing so since it's the ONLY copy of my pics and music.
Anyone know why this thing isn't mounting? I also read somewhere that you can put the iPod into disc mode with a select button/click wheel sequence, so maybe I don't even need it to show up in iTunes?
Also, anyone know a good pic recovery program if that doesn't work?

Yes there is a button press for manually entering disc mode.
Putting iPod into disk mode.
If you copied photos to your iPod using the full resolution option, enable disk use, open your iPod in Finder, open the photos folder then open the "full resolution" folder and drag the photos out of that folder to your desktop. For enabling disk use look here.

If you only copied the photos as thumbnails, you can't do this so you'll need a program such as this one.
iPod Photo Liberator. (both Mac and Windows versions available)
Photos as thumbnails won't be of the original quality when copied back to your computer.

But since I have a very limited amount of space, and after my photos have been backed up, I end up deleting them off my phone so I can have more room. iCloud only backs up the photos that are on your device when it is backed up. If you deleted the photos from your phone, then backed up, the backup will no longer include the photos you deleted. Also, photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that they are deleted from photo stream but not from any device that already has them. Also, if you deleted the photos from the My Photo Stream album on your phone, they are also deleted from your photo stream (as the prompt warns you when you do) and could not therefore later be recovered from photo stream.
If you still have a backup that was made while the photos were on your phone, you could restore to the backup to recover the photos. Otherwise they are lost.

How do I get my phone off of 1x and back to 3G?

I am fed up with my phone/service!!! It is for the most part constantly at 1x for service instead of 3G. The only time that I canuse apps, send texts, use the internet, make phone calls, etc is when I am on wifi and that is not always possible. I have tried trning on and off my phone. changing settings. Resetting my phone. Nothing is working!!!! It has been over two weeks of this and I am completely fed up. Can anyone help me?

I am trying to move my music from my cell (i5) to my laptop (Asus). I can work the laptop but what site am I supposed to be on for the iphone and what are the steps? Thanks!.

You can get it off your phone, but I'm not sure you can get it on to our computer, unless you purchased it from itunes. Not sure about any other music.
You need to connect to itunes on your Asus, making sure the phone is on the same Apple ID as the itunes on Asus. It should show up on the left in devices. Then go to the library and uncheck all music in itunes you don't want on phone. Any authorized music on phone should move to itunes, and all unchecked titles should be removed when you synchronize.

You cannot do that. The apps are specially made for the apple products. If you want to have apps on your computer, find them online somewhere else, pay for them if needed, and use those. You cannot do what you are requesting to do.
