Get out of group message

Hi guys,
I have this big problem with group message.
So the story is like
A send a group message to B, C, and D.
If B reply to A, both C and D can receive the message.
If I was C, and I don't wanna B and D know what I get back to A, How can I do it?
How I can get out of the message group?
And if A send the grp msg in the morning, can everyone receive the msg if I reply A in the afternoon?

Seriously? Today I got sent a group text at 4am from family on the other side of the planet... i recieved 55 text messages (replies and then re-replies and then re-re-replies) in 15 minutes. Excel 2011 version 14.4.8 running on an iMac gets "out of memory" messages.

HELP!!! Excel 2011 running on an iMac with OS 10.10.2 and 16GB Ram gets "out of memory" messages. When I monitor processes with "Activity Monitor", I am using less than half of my RAM. The Excel workbook has many sheets and also some macros. The basic workbook has been running for about two and half years starting in August 2012 without any problems until I upgraded to Yosemite in early December 2014. Now I often have to restore the entire file content because it gets corrupted after not being able to save the file because of the "out of memory" message. I can take a file and its content that ran fine a year ago and run it today and it will eventually get corrupted and get the "Out of memory" message after saving/quitting/re-opening the file any where from 6 to 15 to 25 times. I think I need to have more memory allocated to Excel, but Yosemite doesn't provide any way for the user to interact with the memory management process. I have also experienced the very same problem on my MacBook Pro that runs Yosemite. I have worked file/path name length issues, closely inspected the macros that normally don't run except when activated with a user pressed button, and made sure I don't have any weird links within the workbook or even links to another file outside the workbook. This problem seems to get worse as a continue to fill up the spread sheet with more financial data. This Excel workbook is used to manage my club's finances; I am the club treasurer. I have searched the internet for clues about similar problems and have found none!
My iMac is a 27-inch, Late 2009 with a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 Processor. It includes 16GB of 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM. The hard drive is a fussed 1TB rotating HD with 128 GB SSD. This hardware has been running for about 27 months. I am a very advanced Mac user that programs Excel and Filemaker and repairs Macs for others.

Given the caveat, have you tried reinstall of Office? Your MS Office 2011 may have become corrupted. After upgrading to Yosemite I had to reinstall my Office 2011. No crashes.
The current version of Office 2011 is 14.4.8.
First - find your Office 2011 install disc with the product key # - and only then remove Office according to MS instructions

Then Reinstall from DVD
Then enter your Product #
After successfully reinstalling Office 2011, update your Office product using the Software update within Office called Microsoft Update or going to the Help menu within Word or Excel or PowerPoint and select Update.
It may take a few times before you get to final upgrade to current Office version.
It should be 14.4.8 as of current date.

Nokia 928. Latest win 8.1 software. Can not get MMS / picture / group messages

MMS on my Nokia 928 use to work. After an upgrade is doesn't work (? - could be a coincidence it happened after an upgrade?). I get the message "Get media content now." Tapping on the link doesn't do anything. Doesn't matter whether I'm using wi-fi or cellular data. If I go to Settings > Cellular+SIM > SIM Settings > add MMS APN, the fields are blank. At the microsoft support site it says to save your settings, but it doesn't tell you what these settings should be. The fields on this form are APN, User Name, Password, WAP gateway, WAP gateway port, etc, etc. Should this form be filled in? If so, what are the settings?
I need both picture messaging and group messaging. Right now it is broken.

HFGuy, We certianly know the importance of ensuring your MMS is working properly. Let's look into this. Do you notice this error occuring when you are connected to our 3G/4G LTE network or Wifi? Are you receiving this error message when trying to send MMS or receive? Also, can you please confirm the current software loaded on your Nokia 928?

Getting out of space message with 21 GB

My wife started having out of disk space messages on her 120 GB MB Air. We freed up lots of space. Now have 21 GB free. But still getting out of disk space message with several apps highlighted like Word, Safari, Mail. I've done Apple Hardware test and Disk Utility. Any suggestions on what I might try to fix this. Thanks.

You're not low on disk space. Your problem is excessive swapping of data between physical memory and virtual memory.
That can happen for two reasons:
You have a long-running process with a memory leak (i.e., a bug), or
You don't have enough memory installed for your usage pattern.
Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
In the Activity Monitor application, select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected. Click the heading of the Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more memory over time without ever releasing it.
The process named "Safari Web Content" renders web pages for Safari and other applications. It uses a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider it a prime suspect.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details.

How do I get out of 'groups'?

I tapped into my contacts and then tapped on 'groups' which I can now NOT get out of and back to my contacts - any suggestions please?

Thanks, not sure how I got out of it but I did! I think I went into Settings and switched the Contacts sync off - not sure but did something!

the Ipad 2 is frozen in an email message. I can't get back to inbox.. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Close the Mail app in the Task Bar and re-launch the app.
1. Double-click the Home button
2. Hold the Mail app down for a second or two
3. Tap the minus sign to close app

Can't get out of the message loop !!!

Is anybody else getting stuck in a loop ? On a few occasions now a message has appeared asking me to click OK, but then it just keeps coming !!! The last one came just after trying to unpack a folder, and then started telling me (forgive me for not remembering the exact text) something about deleting a track and needing to create one first !!! All i know is i've got a session booked in the morning and i've just lost 2 hours editing.. it's already 4am AAARRRGGHHH !!! Serves me right for getting to into it and not pressing save !!! Next time i'll copy the exact message down for your perusal.

OK, so the same thing has happened doing pretty much the same thing... i just tried to pack a folder and i got a message telling me there are regions on that track, do i really wanted to delete it... options to 'cancel' or 'delete'. This time a chose 'delete' (even though i didn't want to) and it still came up with the box 'Nothing to delete. If you really want to delete a track, you have to create one first.' The only thing to press is 'cancel' and now there is no escape... Arrrgghh 'FORCE QUIT' NOOOOOO !!!!

My texting is frozen after dumb friends overload group messaging, how do I get my texting ability back?

Its been slow before when getting stuck in group messaging, but this just freezes when i press the text icon. It shows 2, and it will receive more texts, but Im never able to see them, just white ecreen and backs out....***

Iphone5 MMS: older phones not receiving group messages

Iphone5, iOS6.1.4, Verizon. Brand-new phone I bought a couple weeks ago. So its brand-new, mint condition, untouched.
My phone number was ported from AT&T to Verizon. No problems as far as I can tell.
I've been sending group messages, not realizing more than half of my friends/family were not receiving them.
1.My aunt lives on the other side of the country and has some kind of smartphone(not iphone) and she's been receiving them just fine.
2.My mother has a normal cellphone that is several years old AT&T, but she has only being receiving the subject line of the message. When she tries to "retrieve" the message, it always says "failed to retrieve". She has no problem getting text messages from everyone except me.
3.My brother has a different model of a normal phone and he is on the same AT&T plan with my mother and he is able to receive my group messages.
4.Some other friends with older phones and AT&T are not receiving the messages at all.
So it's been very hit 'n miss on who can receive these group messages.
I turned off iMessages first, then I finally turned off MMS Messages, and my mother was finally able to receive a group message from me.
She has always been able to receive an individual message from me with MMS and iMessages turned on. This is strictly a group message problem of some kind.
I was only sending her messages with text content, but the group messages always say MMS at the top regardless of what you send. I'm assuming turning off MMS forces group messages to use SMS.
Why is iphone not able to degrade gracefully with a group message? Why can't it detect older phones in a group message and say "hmm...maybe I should use SMS, especially since the iphone is sending a message with text-only content anyway."
It's really irritating that I have to either, remember to send INDIVIDUAL messages to every single person, OR keep MMS turned off just so older phones can receive a group message.
Has anyone else had these kinds of problems, and if so, what did you do?
I feel like the problem is on my end(Verizon) rather than my friends' end since so many of them are not receiving MY messages. They are receiving everyone else's messages.
Facts:
1. INDIVIDUAL messages work. (MMS is turned on.)
2. SMS-ONLY GROUP messages work. (MMS is turned off so SMS is forced.)
3. MMS group messages, even with text-only content, are not being received by some people, others are receiving them just fine.

iMessages is not the problem. None of my friends have an iphone so I haven't been using iMessages at all.
The problem is SMS vs MMS on group messages. For some reason, the default for group messages is MMS, even though the contents I send are only text. My mother and some of my other friends cannot receive MMS messages, but they can receive SMS messages. (I don't know if its because their phones are too old or because of their specific txtmsg plan with their provider.)
So she automatically doesn't receive messages when I send them as a group instead of individually because they always send as MMS simply because they are GROUP and not because of the contents of the message.
Why do group messages always send as MMS instead of SMS?
I turned MMS OFF, in order to force group messages to always use SMS, but then the MMS setting turns itself back ON the instant I send an individual MMS to a friend who can receive those types of messages. Once MMS setting is back on, I don't realize it and send out a GROUP message, which doesn't reach everyone because once again MMS is being used instead of SMS.
If group messages would send as SMS when I am only sending text, then there would be NO problem. It shouldn't use MMS unless I'm sending a picture or something.

I cannot receive group messages from some people but can from others.

Everyone receives my messages but in some conversations I do not receive messages from them. In other conversations it works just fine. Cannot find a difference between conversations. All conversations were with iPhone users

I am here to further assist you today. When you have a group message that comes in, right above where you type in your message you should have an option "Group Conversation" or "Individual Messages". Let's check to see if it is set on the Group Conversation. If it is, go ahead and switch it to individual then switch it back to Group. Then test out the group message again. Another thing I would recommend is to go into Messaging, Tap on Menu in the lower left, Tap on Settings, under the section Multimedia Message Settings make sure there is a check mark in the Auto Retrieve. Please, keep us posted.

How do I send out a group message and have the responses individual?

K, the Workstation Group Policy is applied first. If you have a user
that also has a group policy it will be applied on top of the
workstation GP. THe user settings will override the workstation policy
settings.
Each of the settings have 3 settings, enable, disable, and no change.
If the WS pol has a setting enables, the the user is disabled the
result is disabled. If the WS has a setting disabled and the user is
set to no change, it is disabled.

For the user's policy - It is in the properties of the XP policy. Do
not check the POlicy Remains in Effect on User Logout
For the Workstation - Persist Workstation Settings should not be
selected if you want the policy to NOT remain in effect after you

What has happened suddenly getting OUT OF DATE message with YouTube and other videos?

1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
