Get rid of face photos

There needs to be a way to delete all face photos from IPhoto library. I let it get out of control (my bad) and now I have too delete each face manually. That takes a long time if you have 5000 photos of a my friends's and family's distorted faces.

It sounds like the iPodf is seening the iTunes libary as a new libary.

On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.
If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually.

Correct. You don't use iTunes to get photos off the iPhone.

You need to update iPhoto. The latest version is 9.4.2.

Getting rid of faces

How can I prevent iPhoto from scaning my pictures for faces? I have hundreds of photos from demonstrations and scanning takes hours. Moreover, I am not a police officer.
How can I get rid of the faces folder or at least disable it?

Unless you have a backup copy of the iPhoto 7 (08) library you won't be able to revert back to the previous version of iPhoto. You'll have to start over with a new iPhoto 7 library and import the Originals folder from the iPhoto 09 library.

I still can't get rid of the photo stream!!!

Okay so it's almost 2014 and I'm still figure it out how to get rid of this so annoying thing called photo stream, why is even evented ****! So I'm running ios 7, I've turn it off the photo stream from every device a half a year ago, I said to that thing delete them all, and they were still here but I hoped that for 30 days waiting will be gone but nothing happened even 6 months later. I think I gave it enough time to disappear! Why is still here?? Gosh, why?!! I can't delete it by myself using no matter what device, I've resetted icloud, I've tried every possible way, it's so frustrating! It says Photo Stream from My Computer, but there is not such a thing on windows, because I've deleted it like I said!

Understood, and that's my biggest complaint with apple, the lack of configuration in many places where it would be beneficial.
They should have added the switch when they added the feature, in the exact same way that they added the switches for both the calendar and the Notes application, and the archive messages feature. They rarely if ever admit mistakes, and even if they saw this lack of ability to disable the inboxes as a mistake, I don't imagine they will ever fix it. But I can still ask, and I can still raise it as an issue.

To get rid of the download button, open the Photos inspector and select "Photos Download Size - none".
This will not stop people from downloading images by control clicking. All this does is remove the convenient button.

HT2500 how can i get rid of my photo on emails

In the last week my outgoing emails and any email I print have a small square photo of me on them. DISLIKE! How can I get rid of this? Any help is appreciated.

That photo is not transmitted with the email. It is just a little tinsel thing that shows in Mail and address book, but only on your computer, no-one elses.
I think playing around with Photobooth adds it, but if you go to System preferences Accounts, the photo will be there as well, and it is editable if you click on it. Change it to something else.

Getting rid of my photo in upper right (mail)

i suppose i should post this in mail but can anybody help me with this problem i have... i just loaded leopard from my tiger OS and when i email people my small little photo of me is in the upper right again ..... how do i get rid of it again? ....

thanks... i did not realize that only myself sees this photo .... i thought it would be in the upper right of every email that i sent off, something that i do not want as i think that this would be dorky to be the recipient of such an email with a mug shot of some dude even though it is only an inch by an inch....

Get rid of duplicate photos

Does anyone know how to get rid of my 1500+ duplcate photos in iPhoto. Somehow when the folks at Applie transfered my files to my new Mac I ended up with a great deal of duplicates.

1 - what exactly was done? I suspect that the transfer was done totally incorrectly and that you have two or three different versions (not duplicates) of each photo and that all events, albums, projects etc are gone

How do get rid of "imported photos" on iphoto

When I open iphoto, I keep getting anerror message that I have a photo that has not been imported. But nothing really downloads. The "recovered photos folder is always empty. How do I get rid of the error message. On another computer, I was helped with a suggestion to find a folder called import and drag it to my tabletop. But I don't remember how to get to it on this other computer. Can anyone help me?

quit iPhoto, right click on the iPhoto library and show package contents - find the folder names import (or importing) and drag it to the desktop - do NOT make any other changes
DO not do any of the things you are doing - no option and command launch - no double clicking on a library - nothing except right clicking on the library with the importing problem and removing the import(ing) folder
Just do exacty what was instreucted - nothing in addition
If you have three libraries (which is generallly not recommended) you switch between them by depressing the option key and launching iphoto - use the resulting select library window to change the default library - once you finish the first step the option launch and look at each library to determine what you have
but I've been afraid to do anything with the folder, so it sits on my desktop. It contains 3 folders: Masters, Previews and Thumbnails each filled with stuff such a roll 1, etc., or my_pix, none of which opens to anything.
What exactly is this "folder"? That sounds like you have an iPhoto library on your desktop (valid but not a good idea) - you should never be inside your iPhoto library except as specifically directed in my first post - thee are no user servicable parts in it and you must not be mucking around in it
