Get rid of initial table selection (orange border)

Hi,
I have a table with multi-selection, and when i initialize the screen automatically the first line of the table looks like it's selected (orange border), that's confusing the users because this file is not really selected. Is there a possibility to get rid of this orange border on the first line?

Getting rid of blank table cells

I am currently making an address book and have had to occasionally remove names from the listings. What this means is that there are now blank cells all through out my address book. How can I remove those cells?

I am surprised that Word would be much smarter at doing this; InDesign has had the tables feature for qutie a while now I would have thought they would have worked this out by now.

Corrupt tables are pretty much the primary cause of corrupt Word documents. I've never seen a table cause a corrupt InDesign document. Word allows a lot of table-mangling, but I'd say that giving table-manglers what they want is the exact opposite of "smart." Tables in Word are pure hell. InDesign's table implementation (purchased from a third party plugin developer, if I recall correctly), while not as... er... flexible as that of Word, is far more stable. I guess it depends on what you think is smart.
Anyhow, back to what you want:
The reason I designed it using tables like this is because this is the way that my client said they wanted it to be.
Well, I hope you bill hourly. There is a way to automate this, I think, using InDesign's Data Merge feature. If you aren't billing hourly, then it may be worth setting up - moving all of the content into an application like Excel, a spreadsheet app where it's really easy to do address-book-entry-management the way you want, and does not induce corruption when you have to spot-delete individual cells, unlike some other apps I can think of. You can then save a file out of Excel, and InDesign can automagically fill up your tables with content from your Excel file, with no gaps. When your client wants changes, then you just tweak your Excel file a bit, export, and then run the Data Merge to get your gap-free table back.
However, that'd be a lot of work, and I can't even guarantee that it would work, never having tried it. But it's where I'd go in your shoes if my dataset wasn't this small:
my list of names is relatively short so cutting and pasting shouldn't take too much time.
Lastly, I think that your client might not care about whether or not they're in table cells; they just want it to look that way, right? If so, there are many, many ways to set up your doc that don't involve tables, that still yield the desired appearance. If you want to go in that direction, I can toss out a few ideas - I think that Rik already has, although his suggestion is a little bit low on detail.

i'm using jdeveloper 11.1.1.0.1 , and i want to navigate from a page containing a panel collection which contains a table with single row selection to another page contains the details of this selection. in 10g i was do that using #{row.rowKeyStr} in the from value of the buttons action listner but here this is not valid a red line appears when i write this in the from value , in the expression builder when i expand the jsp objects i can't find row node also if i expand the bindings node i can't find my attributes!! .
please some one help me to do my task .

Ipod nano - how do you get rid of auto random select for playlist songs

theres some strange icon that appears and for some reason selects random songs not the order i want the songs to play. help??
no idea how to fix this. it works fine on itunes, on my ipod nano it just seems to do random select on all playlists.

How to get rid of border in the RowSetBrowser

I use the RowSetBrowser object with rounded corners option switched off like this:
RowSetBrowser.setUseRoundedCorners(false);
This creates the web page where the records are shown within the table with ugly border.
How to get rid of this table border ?
I have not found any relevant method in the class oracle.jbo.html.databeans.RowSetBrowser.

White space under table on page how to get rid of it

I created a new page, inserted a table to fill the page and
put in a background color. When I look at the page in Dreamweaver,
there is no white space under the table at the bottom of the page.
When I preview the page in a browser, the table ends about an inch
from the bottom of the page and I have about an inch of white space
under the table. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Fix up the errors with your html firstly - then see where you
are at with
the page....
The first thing to do would be to get rid of the table
heights - it's
invalid and won't render cross browser anyway. Error:

Duplicates in Aperture and how to get rid of them

Short of putting the photos on List view and eyeballing the details [IPTC/EXIF] and deleting each one individually is there any better way to do this. I have TidyUp and have used it in other such tasks in the past but wasn't sure that doing so with a large library [500G] would be a good idea.
These are mainly duplicate Masters, not versions.

Region parameter fades - how to get rid of them?

i have a strange behavior in logic 7.1.1
there is a track and i deleted audio regions lying in there
whenever i post new ones in there, old fades are still inside

Hello,
This is actually not strange behavior. If you used a cross fade between two audio files, BOTH now contain fade information, thus when you delete one audio region, the other region will still contain the cross fade information.
To get rid of fade information, select the region(s) its on and look in your regions parameter box for "fade start" and "fade end" values and set them to zero. I dont have logic in front of me right now, so sorry if its named something else.

what i meant to say, if i didn't say it clear enough, was how do i get rid of old documents and emails that are not currently in my document folder or in my email inbox.

Select the email/s you want to get rid of and then select delete. When all the emails are deleted, select your Trash mailbox, select all the emails and then select delete.
Documents you can drag to the trash (lower right side of Dock). Then empty the trash.
Then stop down to your local bookstore and get some books on Mac OS X.

I am trying to just get the Managers of my users in Active Directory. I have gotten it down to the user and their manager, but I don't need the user. Here is my code so far:

I would caution that, although it is not likely, managers can also be contact, group, or computer objects. If this is possible in your situation, use Get-ADObject in place of Get-ADUser inside the curly braces.
Also, if you only want users that have a manager assigned, you can use -LDAPFilter "(manager=*)" in the first Get-ADUser.
Finally, if you want all users that have been assigned the manager for at least one user, you can use:
Get-ADUser
-LDAPFilter "(directReports=*)" |
Select @{N='Manager';E={ (Get-ADUser
$_.sAMAccountName).Name }}
-Unique | Sort Manager |
Export-Csv .\managerList.csv -NoTypeInformation
This works because when you assign the manager attribute of a user, this assigns the user to the directReports attribute of the manager. The directReports atttribute is multi-valued (an array in essence).
Again, if managers can be groups or some other class of object (not likely), then use Get-ADObect throughout and identify by distinguishedName instead of sAMAccountName (since contacts don't have sAMAccountName).

How do I get rid of the white border that prints on my pictures?

Lightroom 2 - Windows 7 64-bit - Nikon D700
I have just downloaded my Lightroom software to my new computer which runs Windows 7. I had lightroom on my old Vista computer and just had to change the border size to remove it from my pictures, however, for some reason it will not let me remove it anymore. When I try to adjust the border size it states it cannot be smaller than .2. Therefore, I have a white border around all my pictures I am printing. HELP! How do I get rid of this border. Thank you so much for the help.

Make sure you select a borderless papersize in the page setup. That will allow Lightroom to set the margins to zero. Otherwise it sets it to the minumum value the printer tells Lightroom it can print at at the current print size. Your printer and driver need to support borderless printing for this to work.
