Get rid of Photo Cache

Hi. This isnt a huge issue, its just annoying. Whenever i connect my ipod, i get a folder called ipod cache on my desktop. I don't actually have any photos on my ipod, so i dont exactly need this folder. Is there a way to stop the creation of this folder, or atleast move it somewhere I won't see it? thanks

I realize this is a kind of old thread, but I'm having the same problem (if it can be called that). I don't store any pictures on my iPod or my iPhone. When I sync my iPhone, an 'iPod Photo Cache' is recreated each time (it is not created when syncing my iPod), even though I have nothing checked in the Photos tab in iTunes' iPhone settings.
A bit confusing/unsightly, but not too big of a deal.

How can I get rid of photos that were downloaded from my computer?  I need to free up space on my iPad

Assuming that you synced the photos from iTunes - or whatever downloaded means - you must use iTunes again in order to remove the songs from the iPad. You have to uncheck the albums in the photos folder that you sync from in the Photos tab of iTunes and follow that with a sync.

  • Can't get rid of photo album from computer

My phone has a photo stream album from computer that I cannot get rid of.  I have removed the folder containing the photos from my computer.  Removed all backups in itunes.  The box in the itunes sync for photos has never been checked.  I have syncd several times and cannot get rid of the album from the iphone.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Create and sync an empty folder to your phone as I expained in your other post hereI have an album on my iPhone 4 called "Photo Stream, From My Computer." And i have no way of deleting any picture in that album or deleting the album. I have searched around forever and found nothing that worked. Please help! (I run iOS 7) .  That will remove any orphaned albums previously synced to your phone.

  • How to get rid of Photo Library in Photos App

Hello, Am an iPhone user with a question, when i upload new photos from iTunes, the iPhone automatically generate the Photo Library. how can i get rid of this Photo Library

You can't delete the Photo Library. The iPhone stores photos the same way iPhoto does on a Mac. All photos are synced to your Photo Library. The various albums/folders merely contain pointers to the actual photos which are in your Photo Library, they are not duplicates.

  • How to get rid of photos on my i phone 4s

can anyone help me please. i want to get rid of some photos on my i phone 4s and they will not go

    Hello,
I would love to help you solve this issue.
If they are in your camera roll then they can be deleted but if they were downloaded from your computer then the only way to get them off is to dowlaod them back to your computer.
If you need help doing this, please reply and I will answer as soon as possible.

  • Getting rid of photos

Hi There, Ive just bought a new Iphone and am going to sell my 3GS. I need to take all of my personal information from it and have managed to do most of it but cant seem to get rid of my photos. Can anyone help? Should I restore factory settings before I sell it to make sure there is no identifiable info left on it? I would really appreciate some advice. Many thanks Lisa

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content & Settings...or restore it as a new device in iTunes.

  • My email storage shows 13.3 GB used but I only have about 20 emails in my mailbox with no attachments.  Do I need to back up, delete everything and restore to get rid of the cache?

My email storage show 13.3GB used but I only have about 20 emails in my inbox with no attachments.  I assume it's memory cache that's clogging my phone.  Do I need to backup and restore to get rid of all of it??

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
    Delete ALL your email accounts.
    Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON.  Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

  • How to get rid of photo's?

    hello,
I have way to much photo's made in the past.
I want to get rid of the shots that didn't make it - out of focus or just not the best in a sequal.
I imported all my photo's in Aperture 2 and have tons of pictures that I want to delete.
Ofcourse these pictures are on my harddrives too.
What is the best way to clean up the mess?
I hoped Aperture would be a good sortingmachine for that purpose.
    Who has the answer?
    Thanx,
    Job

It's easy to delete them from within Aperture. I think command-delete is the key combo, but a simple read of the documentation will show you how to do it.
There are may ways to use Aperture to sort through images… if you reject them (9 key) you can "hide" them and later view the rejected images smart folder to delete them en masse. Have a read of the documentation or a training book as it sounds like you're quite new to the application.

i have a ipod touch 4g.  how the heck do you delete photos?  individually or photo folders?  is there a trick or what?

The same way you put them there.
    The sync process.
Deselect the folder in itunes and sync
    or
Remove the photos from the select folder on your comptuer and sync
    or
Delete the photos from your computer and sync.

  • How do I get rid of photos of senders in my email inbox?

All of a sudden my email inbox is showing photos of some people from whom I receive emails.  I dont want to see these.  I prefer the shadowy silouette.

Then you must have photos for those contacts in your Address Book. Open up those contacts, click on the photo and delete their photos.

  • Getting rid of photo files

When I import my photos from my digital camera it goes straight into iPhoto. Then when I scroll through all the photos there are certain photos that I want to delete, but when I delete them in iPhoto they are still on my hard drive in the picture folder. Is there a way that I can just delete them in iPhoto and that same photo will be gone from my hard drive also?

empty the iPhoto trash - iPhoto menu ==> empty trash

  • How do I get rid of photo downloader?

Even disabling the darn icon, it comes back at every reboot.
Why Adobe can't resist placing junk software on our PCs?
    I miss my RawShooter...

You don't have to delete it if you don't want to. Just rename it to something like adproxy.exx or anything that doesn't have the "exe" extension. That'll disable it.
Also, Jim wrote, "I agree that not having a means to prevent this thing from autoloading when you boot up is very naughty on the part of Adobe. A mark of adware. Makes you wnader what else Adobe is loading onto your system that is less obvious. . .don't like it at all."
Adobe's been autoloading stuff for years with many of its products. Yes, it's naughty if not downright annoying, especially when your system slows to a crawl every time you reboot. Anyway, whenever I install any
Adobe product, I've gotten into the habit of immediately running msconfig and removing all the detritus Adobe's installers put there. Just a suggestion...

  • How do I get rid of unwanted photo libraries?

I can get rid of photos if they are in my cameral roll, but I cannot get rid of them if they are in photo libraries. For some reason my iTunes downloaded pictures from my macbook onto my ipod which I never asked it to do. I want to get rid of these because they are old and no longer needed. However, when I click on one there is no trash button available. So how can I get rid of them?

Review your syncing settings in iTunes for Photos. You probably checked for syncing some smart albums, such as Newest Photos, Last Three Events, etc.
