Get rid of plyer bar

I don't want a player bar at the bottom of my screens. I
instead have forwand and back buttons on the screena themselves How
do I get rid of the play bar at the bottom of each page.
Thanks as always,
Cj

I read this in another reply and have had great success with
it. Not only uncheck the Show Playback Control but you may need to
click the Borders tab and uncheck Show Borders.
I had a project where I unchecked Show Playback Control but
there was still a dark area at the bottom of the slide (I was
making a banner). When I unchecked Show Borders, the end result was
a banner that only displayed the slide area.

  • How to get rid of title bar of a quicktime window?

    The main problem:
    I want to display the title info etc about each track as they play in iTunes. How can I do that on an otherwise black screen (desktop) (I don't want to use the visualizer with its psychedelic patterns).
    Background:
    I want to play music from iTunes (many pieces in a row - for like a full day). While this is happening I want the title etc of the tune to be displayed on the screen, like white smallish text against a black background in the lower right hand corner. At the same time I want slides to be displayed on the screen.
    So, with iPhoto I can run a slide show but only while one piece of music is playing.
    Instead I can have the desktop slowly change (from system preferences) with images from a folder every 5 seconds. That's not too bad. Looks good, actually, except for that annoying menu bar at the top! Well, black tape can hide that one (or a second display and move it over there). Now iTunes can play away all day.
    As to how to get the title etc of the song playing displayed I was thinking about somehow extracting it from iTunes with applescript, then paste it into the text track of a quicktime movie, and display that little movie in a small window. I have figured out how to get rid of the controller from the window. But, I can not figure out how to get the title bar of the quicktime window to go away - that is I want a window with nothing around it, neither controllers nor title bar nor anything. How do I create such a window. Any good ideas out there?
    Or is there a totally different way of obtaining the same effect?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You could try posting at the QuickTime discussion area. There might be an iTunes visualizer that allows you to make a slideshow with track info. It has been a while since I tried making a SMIL file, but I think you could do what you want with that. Not sure how you create a streaming text of track information. I would have to do some reviewing.

  • How to get rid of scroll bars in Mac OS X Lion?

    I have been using the magic mouse with lion on my iMac since I got it. Today I got a new mouse, a logitech M510. After using the mouse I noticed that the scroll bars came back permanently. I actually liked having the scroll bars dissapear when not using them, it made everything look much cleaner. How would I go about getting rid of them? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply. I should have stated up front that am totally ignorant on programing and customizing stuff.

  • How do I get rid of status bar for screen shots

    How do I get rid of the status bar at the top of my iPhone 3G while taking screen shots? I'd like to publish the shots on the web and in a You Tube video.

    It depends on what you are taking a screen shot of. For example, if you are watching a video and the controls (and status bar) are visible, you can tap the screen to remove them and take you screen shot.

    Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
    You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

  • Can't get rid of white bar in firefox

    For the last few versions, I seem to have an annoying white bar that won't go away, in the tab section of Firefox. It is theme-independent, and won't go away no matter what theme or option I change. It also doesn't appear to be a plugin. Any idea how to get rid of it?
    Here is a screenshot of it: http://i49.tinypic.com/11s2f5u.png
    I should note I have a custom theme on windows, but it used to work fine for previous versions of firefox. The bar is also still present when firefox is started in safemode

    Well, when tabs are in the title bar, the tab bar background changes to a gradient fill that appears to create a gap at the bottom:
    <br>background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center bottom , rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.4) 1px, transparent 1px), -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(128, 128, 128, 0), activecaption 85%);
    <br>background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center bottom , rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.4) 1px, transparent 1px), -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(128, 128, 128, 0), inactivecaption 85%);
    It's a little too late here to experiment with a fix, but hopefully another forum contributor will be able to recommend a solution.
    (When the window is not maximized, the background of the tab bar is transparent.)

  • Can`t get rid of "Launcher" bar on bottom of my home page.

    I have Google as my home page. The one with only the search text bar with Firefox logo above it. Nice and clean.
    Now I keep getting what is called a 'launcher' toolbar on my Google home page and I would like to get rid of it. I found by right-clicking the page that 'Inspect Element Q' shows the code for this 'toolbar' and from what I gather it is a Firefox feature. I would like to get rid of it. Are there code changes I can make in the Element Q window that will eliminate this 'launcher' toolbar? Thanks!

    Hi jscher2000, and Thank You for helping me out. I do not have a Google address as a home page. I just chose the Google main search page as my home page if that makes any sense. The page I chose shows up with the Google search input text bar if you know what I`m talking about, then just a little above that is the Firefox logo. up in the top right corner of the web page is the word 'mozilla' in grey. About the same shade as the grey used for the icons on the 'launcher' bar I would like to get rid of. I am going to try and attach a Wordpad screenshot of my home page.
    Also here is the code that makes me believe I can get rid of the tool bar.
    #launcher {
    display: -moz-box;
    -moz-box-align: center;
    -moz-box-pack: center;
    width: 100%;
    background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.03);
    border-top: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.03);
    box-shadow: 0px 1px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.02) inset, 0px -1px 0px rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.25);
    Sorry I don`t know how to properly post code here. Anyway. I think you get the idea. Any suggestions are appreciated. My picture of my homepage won`t upload. Sorry.

  • Can't get rid of scroll bar

    I show a scroll bar for the links at the bottom of this page.  Dinghydogs.com.  I can't see how to get rid of it.  Can you help?

    It's caused by your inline styles.  Which begs the bigger question.  Why are you using all this in your markup?
    <div id="Layer6" style="overflow: auto; position: absolute; left: 249px; top: 860px; width: 492px; height: 48px; z-index: 8; visibility: visible;">

  • How do i get rid of accessibility bar

    I managed to get rid of the black bar on my son's log in, but it has now appeared on the main screen where all of our personal icons are.  This is the black bar that tells the user what is being displayed.
    How do I get rid of this?

    Something very weird is going on. I achieved a brief success as follows:
    Not sure exactly what did it. With Task Bar Plus, Stylish, All-in-One Sidebar, and the bookmarks toolbar disabled, I did do that reset to defaults for the toolbar. I had skipped that earlier because I did not see how it was going to affect the tab bar and my toolbar configuration (with All-in-one Side Bar) is fairly complicated. However, I was getting desperate. It still did not solve the problem directly. However, when I enabled the Navigation Bar, success! The odd thing is that I had fiddled with enabling the Navigation bar on multiple previous occasions with no luck; so I am still not sure exactly what happened. I thought the problem was solved. But it was not:
    Then I started experimenting to figure out what had been causing it. I enabled all those things (except the bookmarks bar). It stopped working. I disabled Tab Mix Plus, and I got a brief success at the first instant when I enabled the Navigation bar. Then I restarted Firefox, and it did not work then or after any subsequent restart. I have gone so far as to restart in safe mode with all addons disabled. It still does not work right. I go back to the profile from the Windows 8 install, and all is well again.
    What is going on? I may have to give up and further develop the profile from Windows 8 to come closer to the function I had in Windows 7; but I dread that process.

  • Get rid of black bar at bottom of full view

    With the new update of Aperture there is now a black bar at the bottom of the photo when editing in viewer mode with the file name.  I really want to get rid of it since it changes the cropping of the photo and I can't see behind it to edit.  Is there a way to get rid of it?  Thanks!

    You can show or hide Image metadata in the Viewer.
    You can have the metadata shown either on top of, or in a band below, the Image in the Viewer.
    What shows, and where, for each of the seven Metadata Overlays are set in the Browser & Viewer Metadata dialog ("View ▹ Metadata Display ▹ Customize").
    Which Metadata Overlay is shown (or none) is set via ("View ▹ Metadata Display"), or from the Metadata Display Icon on the ToolStrip.  This icon shows in both the Browser and the Viewer.
    I did not notice a change when I upgraded.  Is it possible you inadvertently turned on the Viewer overlay, or switched from the Basic to the Expanded Overlay?
