Get ROWIDs from Interactive Report

Hi,
I'm using an interactive report but I'd like to use the rows returned in a process so is it possible to get the rowsids that have been selected and make up the filtered report
Thanks Andy

A little trial and error using Andy ATD's suggestions gave me the following query, which I can use to recreate the selected ROWIDs:
SELECT /*c.interactive_report_id, report_id, application_user, report_name, */
CONDITION_COLUMN_NAME as col_name, CONDITION_OPERATOR as col_operator,
CONDITION_EXPRESSION as exp1, CONDITION_EXPRESSION2 as exp2,
CONDITION_ENABLED AS enabled,
LAST_UPDATED_ON as date_mod
FROM APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_IR_COND C
WHERE c.application_id = :APP_ID
AND c.page_id = :APP_PAGE_ID
AND c.condition_type = 'Filter'
AND application_user = :APP_USER
AND condition_enabled = 'Yes'
and report_name is null -- Just show current working report
AND trunc(last_updated_on) = trunc(sysdate)
ORDER BY last_updated_on desc, report_id;
This gives results like:
COL_NAME     COL_OPERATOR     EXP1     EXP2     ENABLED     DATE_MOD
ASK_AMOUNT_CURRENT     between     2500     10000     Yes     03-DEC-08
PREF_CLASS_YEAR     =     1968     -      Yes     03-DEC-08

  • Get condition from interactive report

    Hi all!
    I have an interactive report.
After the user has set some filter conditions I would like to write the ID's of the selected datasets into a table.
This should take place in an "after-submit-process" in pl/sql.
    Something like:
INSERT INTO #OWNER#.log_table (OBJT_ID) VALUES (SELECT ID FORM #OWNER#.source_table WHERE
    ":APEX_REPORT_CONDITION");
    My question:
Is there an apex-object like ":APEX_REPORT_CONDITION"?
    Thanks for your help!
    Kai

    Hi Jari,
thank you for your reply. But I need s.th. different:
If I load my report-page and display "Debug" the SQL behind the report looks like:
    select
    null as apxws_row_pk,
    +"ID",+
    +"NUMBER",+
    +"TITLE",+
    +"ENTRY_DATE",+
    +"PRIOPRITY",+
    +"PROBABILITY",+
    count(*) over () as apxws_row_cnt
    from (
    select  *  from (
    select
    r.ID,
    r.NUMBER,
    r.TITLE,
    r.RPRI_NAME,
    r.ENTRY_DATE,
    r.PRIORITY,
    r.PROBABILITY
    from #OWNER#.MY_TABLE r
    where r.usr_name = :APP_USER
    +) r+
    where ("PROBABILITY" = :APXWS_EXPR_1*
    and "PRIORITY" = :APXWS_EXPR_2)*
    +) r where rownum <= to_number(:APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT)+
    +0.44: binding: ":APP_USER"="APP_USER" value="USER"+
    +0.44: IR binding: ":APXWS_EXPR_1"="APXWS_EXPR_1" value="(10-50%)"+
    +0.44: IR binding: ":APXWS_EXPR_2"="APXWS_EXPR_2" value="Hoch"+
    +0.44: IR binding: ":APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT"="APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT" value="10000"+
As we can see, apex put an own select-statement around the original statement.
What I need is the part in bold letters and the APXWS_EXPR_x-values. How can I get it?
Has anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance!
    Kai

  • Download data from interactive report

Hi all. I'm on apex 3.1.1.00.09.
I have this problem: when I download data from interactive report I can download only in CSV and PDF. If I try to download into pdf it creates a file of only 1 KB.
I would know if I must configure my apex in order to download correctly in pdf and if I must configure it in order to download in doc and xls format.
    Thanks all for collaboration,
    Fabrizio

    Thank you for your reply.
I am able to download the csv file, but my problem is: I don't want the column headings to show.
Is it possible to download only the data, not the column headings?

  • Getting active filter conditions from interactive reports

I have been having trouble with how to properly get the filter conditions that a user has applied to an interactive report. I have tried to get at this information using the Apex defined view APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_IR_COND. However, the problem I am running into is if the user ends their session without first removing their filter conditions, those conditions remain in this view the next time (and any future times) the report is accessed. I can not seem to determine how to tell which filter conditions are actually active in the report. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've done several tests, and the results I'm getting are not like that, if it were there would be no problem. The exact steps I'm doing is setting an arbitrary filter on an interactive report, and then logging out. When I log back in the view still shows those filter conditions, but no records are filtered on the actual report. I've tried this on two separate installations of apex (one 3.1, the other 3.2) and the results are the same. Is this irregular? Or has anyone else found a workaround for this.

  • Error opening PDF downloaded from Interactive Report

hi -- I'm getting an error opening a PDF file downloaded from an interactive report.
I've seen on the forum that this could be related to the size of the file, but I've tried
this out on 10-row results (1k files) and it's still an issue.
I save the file to my file system. If I try to open it in Adobe Reader, I get:
File does not begin with '%PDF-'
    and
Adobe Reader could not open <filename>.pdf because it is either not a supported
file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email
    attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
If I try to open in Internet Explorer, I get:
File does not begin with '%PDF-'
Other users are having the same problem. Download to csv and open in Excel works fine.
Do I need to have special print attributes for this? I didn't think so... I'm just using the defaults
(response header = report settings, content disposition = attachment).
    Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Carol

    Hi,
I'm having the same problem that was described above, and my site does have BI Publisher installed, and it does successfully produce readable pdfs for many reports.
But there are other reports, even reports produced using the Apex Wizard and all defaults, that just keep producing the same Adobe Reader error reported above, ie
"Adobe Reader could not open <filename>.pdf because it is either not a supported
file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email
    attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers,
    Peter

  • Send E-mail from Interactive Report, mulitple e-mail addresses

I am using Apex 4.1. I would like to enter multiple e-mail addresses in the TO field of the download, e-mail section of an interactive report. To be clear when I click on download from the actions menu of an interactive report and choose E-mail, you are presented with the form that has To, CC, BCC, etc. I would like to enter multiple e-mail addresses in the TO text box. I have tried separating them with semi-colons, commas, and even spaces. Whenever I enter two addresses, I do not get any mail. How can I address an interactive report to multiple e-mail addresses. Thank you so much.

    Hi,
We misread the documentation and the Actions > Download > Email option does not support multiple email addresses, I have tried it on my workspace and it is throwing ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 553 5.1.3 which is because of unsupported multiple emails.
In this doc says that it is allowed to use multiple emails under
Actions > Subscription (and this is entirely different from above)

  • Can I link from Interactive report Page 1 to Master Detail page 2?

    Hi folks-
I know how to create a Page as an Interactive Report; it creates 2 pages automatically (primary page with the great interactive bar) and a 2nd page that's a single record.
I know how to create a Page as Master Detail, whereby I get a tabular list without the super interactive bar, and I can select a record, and get transported to a nice page with 2 regions (master on top, detail on bottom).
I want to have the First page from the Interactive Report, select the record, and go to the 2nd page of a MasterDetail.
Do I create the Interactive Report, and customize the 2nd page, to add a region?
Or, do I create both page types, and redirect from the 1st page of the Interactive Report to the DML Form from the MD report? I tried that, re-assigning the link from the Interactive Report to be a Link to Custom Target, and specify the page # of the Master-Detail page. And it is taking me to the right page, but the data from the selected row is not coming with me, and the detail in the bottom region is not appearing at all.
Can someone please give me a nudge as to the sequence I should be doing?
(As you can tell, I'm new to Apex.... I'm trying to use it to create a prototype or proof-of-concept for a database driven web application)
    Thank you
    Marion

Yes, I tried that after I wrote to you - and it's fine, but not what I'm after; it's only based on 1 table and I'm working with 2 tables.
Perhaps I can explain in better.
I want one page as an interactive tabular report (of the master records)
I want to select a row, and transfer to a page that has the corresponding row on top (as a form), and a tabular region below of records from a related detail table.
ie, I want page 1 from the Interactive Report, and page 2 of the Master Detail report.
OK - I just took the form page, and added a region below in a tabular report. And I'm getting the data, but I'm getting all the records (not just the ones associated with the single record on top. I figure I need to edit the Region Definition->Source (to specify that the id numbers need to match), but the code is not editable.....
So I am in Structured Query Attributes, and I've Modified the Join Conditions - but I still get all the detail records in the bottom region. I''m trying to add in the ( + ) qualifier, but it doesn't affect anything...
I'm soo close to what i'm trying to do!
Thank you for your continued patience and assistance
    Marion
here's the Source I have for the region..... (I'm including the excess ID columns just for learning purposes)
    SELECT
    "PHONENUMBERS"."PHONE_ENTITY_ID" "PHONE_ENTITY_ID",
    "ENTITIES"."ENTITY_ID" "ENTITY_ID",

    "PHONENUMBERS"."PHONENUMBER" "PHONENUMBER",

  • Error in exporting from Interactive Report to PDF format

    Hello,
i am using APEX and from an Interactive Report i am trying to export using Download | PDF format. The table and corresponding report has only text fields. Database character set is UTF-8. Up to now i haven't been able to get a PDF file that can be open from Adobe Acrobat Reader. Every file fails opening with message like "Adobe Reader could not open filename.pdf, because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). This happens for every report i have tried up to now. If i export report in CSV format all are ok.
Is there a known bug with PDF download of APEX?
    TIA

    See this link: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html
FOP & Cocoon are free (just need to install the software and configure) Bi Publisher I believe works only for Standard Reports and no Interactive reports at this time.. If you have the $$ BI Publisher is worth the investment!!
Also, it is rumored that APEX 4.0 will have the PDF generation built in as apposed to the current model where you need to bolt something on..
    Thank you,

  • Unable to open PDF output (PDF downloaded from Interactive Report--APEX)

    Hi,
I'm getting below error while opening a PDF file downloaded from an interactive report (APEX).
Adobe reader cound not open "TEST.pdf"because it is either not supportd file or because the file has been damaged.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramamuni.

Steps of pdf Printing of Report from FOP:
    1) Download and unzip the following needed files in D:\Apex_fop directory.
    2) Open your command prompt .
    Change the directory to D:\Apex_fop\cocoon-2.1.11.
Set the Java_Home environment variable as: set JAVA_HOME= C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_21
    then type build war
    3) After getting the prompt back as D:>Apex_fop>cocoon-2.1.11>
Copy coocon.war file from the folder D:\Apex_fop\cocoon-2.1.11\build\cocoon.
Paste this file into webapps subdirectory in main tomcat directory having path as D:\APEX_FOP\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps.....place it in the top
    level of webapps directory.
    4) Now just startup tomcat as D:>APEX_FOP>apache-tomcat-6.0.26>bin>startup.bat
The cocoon.war file will automatically uncompressed as directory.
    5) To change the port of apache tomcat , edit apache-tomcat-6.0.26\conf\server.xml & change port attribute of Connector element from 8080 to 8181.
Just check whether Tomcat is running or not as http://localhost:8181/
& to check cocoon type http://localhost:8181/cocoon/
    6) Now copy fop_post directory & paste it undes new cocoon directory in webapps having path as D:\APEX_FOP\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps
    \cocoon.
    7) Now you need to do some apex settings as follows:
In APEX, just log in as ADMIN into apex/apex_admin and went to Instance Settings and did the following:
    - Print Serverr: Standard Support
    - Print Server Protocol: HTTP
    - Print Server Host Address:localhost
    - Print Server Port: 8181
    - Print Server Script: /cocoon/fop_post
In your APEX application, in the Regions section, Click on the Print link next to your report and do the following settings:
    - Enable Report Printing: Yes
    - Link Label: Print
    - Response Header: Report Settings
    - View File As: Attachment
    - Output Format: PDF
    - Report Layout: Default Report Layout
    - Print URL: f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION.:FLOW_XMLP_OUTPUT_R1063230002781575
    8) Open up the Report Page and click Print , You will get the pdf report.
I am sure this will help you

  • PDF from Interactive Report - general question

    Hello,
I read in another post that there may be plans to make it so that PDFs downloaded from an Interactive Report will include the formatting in the report. Is this true? If so, will it work with the Apache FOP?
    Regards,
    Dan
    http://danielmcghan.us
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/tapigen

    No Christina,
First I went under report attributes on Interactive reports under download
    Download formats:
    CSV and PDF
I checked both. CSV format is fine. PDF format is corrupt.
Next I then went in using the below:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/apex/apex31nf/apex31rpt.htm
It tells me I don't have a print server defined. I am trying to get the INLINE method to work.
I see in the ADMIN there is a print server configuration section though it is not totally clear as I would think that you would get the default print configuration as you would with any other PDF docuement.

  • Export XML from interactive report

    Hi all,
is there a way to export the resulting output of an interactive report as XML (inline and/or attachment), like a normal report can do? (with FLOW_XMLP_OUTPUT_R<region_ID>)
The download option for ir provide only CSV and PDF.
    Regards,
    Marco

    I explain my request.
I have a very complex SQL query, which is (much) more than 4000 characters and it works well in the interactive report.
As the interactive report is quite different from the normal report and the procudure FLOW_XMLP_OUTPUT_R<region_ID> doesn't seem to work, I'm obliged to create a report query in the shared components to get also the XML output, but shared report query accepts query less than 4000 characters long.
    Any idea?

  • Get Report_Id of Interactive Report

I am atempting to get the report id of the currently selected report in a specific page.
The problem is that here are several diferent views (SAVED REPORT) and i don't how how to get the currently selected in the session.
    How can I do that?
    Thanks
    Pedro

The report is selected using the interactive report tabs from the previous saved reports.
    I have been trying this:
    Javascript & 'apexir_REPORT_ID'
but it fails because the value is always the same, the based_report_id of the Working directory, not the selected tab (interactive report save).
    Any thougths??

  • Get ID of Interactive Report that Initiated Download Reqest

    Hi there.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get Interactive Report ID (x01 on the POST Request I think) when a "Download" request is initiated?
I need to log this value into a custom table so any help on how to grab this would be very helpful.
    Cheers
    Duncs

Hmm. That's really useful but as far as I can see, it's geared towards only having 1 IR per page i.e.
    SELECT region_id
    INTO v_region_id
    FROM APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_ir
    WHERE application_id = :app_id
      AND page_id = :app_page_id;
When APEX 5 comes along, you can have more than 1 on a page and so any solution needs to be future proof which I am not too sure this one is.
    Nice start though.
