Get safari feature where you type a letter and press enter and have it go to the webpage
I like firefox much more than safari, but I really like the safari feature where it suggests webpages. For example, say the last webpage I went on that starts with an "f" is facebook. All I would need to do is type in "f" and press enter and it will take me to facebook. Is there an extension or something that will bring that feature to firefox?
A possibility is to bookmark a site and assign a keyword to it.

I am trying to delete an XLS file from a network drive and am getting a message that says the file cannot be deleted because it is in use. I can't see where it is in use and have tried to reboot the computer to no avail. I can delete other files but several XLS files are giving me this message.
You said it was a network drive. So is someone else on the network using that same file or may have have left with excel still accessing it on their system?

Do labVIEW programmers get any RESPECT where YOU work?
I'm starting to get irked at the comments from C and even VB users who think LabVIEW is... well I'm not sure WHAT they think it is -- schematic capture for programmers?. For example, the other day in a meeting, I told the crew that I had to change part of my code to accommodate a hardware change. The C programmer looked over and said "So, you have to draw some pictures?". In another meeting, I recall another C programmer proclaiming to the entire audience that "LabVIEW is basically good for talking to hardware, and making fancy buttons."
So many of them think that LabVIEW is just a GUI for NI cards. When I tell them that 90% of my apps don't even use NI hardware, their eyes just glaze over. I honestly think some of them believe there's an LabVIEW "Icon" for every specific programming task. If that's the case, can someone tell me where the VI "Make Valves Actuate Automatically With Incoming Sample And Check The Solution Temperature Before Running The Cleaning Cycle And Apply More Heat If It's Not Hot Enough With PID Control Unless The Omron Controller Is Not Set To PID" is located?
What irks me the most is, it seems the people who have NO exposure to LabVIEW are the people that have the strongest opinions about it. Sure, I know they are defending their platform. And I know it's my job to defend LabVIEW when they bring up these comments. But I'm tired. So... tired.

RichardRespect will derive from the quality and reliability of the work you produce, not the systems you use to produce them!
The same is true for them of course.
The people I most respect at work are those who are well grounded in their area of expertise, systematic and methodical in their approach, grow their skill base, flexible in their solutions, document well and organise religiously.
They almost always seem to be the most softly spoken in meetings, listening more than speaking and the most successful wherever they choose to exercise their talents.
Selection of a particular system for your solutions may considerably aide you in producing higher quality and higher reliability solutions in a more timely fashion, that are also lower cost over the life cycle of the solution!
In considering the issue that you raise; remember that software solutions, which is actually what you are about, relate to basic constructs such as: -

Sequences
Selections
Iterations
These should be based on a requirements analysis document and synthesised into a software specification document using a standard methodology.... I bet they have never seen either and probably couldn't manage some Axiomatic Set Theory....
I would suggest that a strongly typed development methodology such as that encouraged by Labview, results in more reliable solutions more frequently than weakly typed approaches such as C. (Ask them about memory pointer management, type casting issues, memory de allocation and buffer overruns.... ohm yes and of course DLL hell..... that will keep em quiet)

That is, I will use the most appropriate tool for the problem from an armoury of skills, Labview just happens to be one of my favourites.
Well, it doesn't matter what you use to arrive at the solution, it's the quality of the solution that counts!

How do you type a letter using the Mac OS
How do you type a letter using Apple, this is my first Apple and I have only used the Windows Operating System before.
If it has a standard system installation that comes pre-installed with Macs, there should be an application called Pages installed. That is Apple's word processor.
You can launch it from the Dock, if its shortcut is there. The icon looks like an inkwell with a pen. (If you have related follow-up questions, such as setting up a printer, please post back...)

Black frame in every space where your write: search box, box where you type
I don´t know what happend, well kind of know... My baby touched the keyboard while I was working and now I have a black frame in every box where you type, and is annoying, can somebody help me to take that black frame out.

I have found that once I have signed in to iTunes to buy a movie or app the password stays in for a while so you can make another purchase without using the password again. Whilst this is useful for multiple purchases it also enables my children to buy another app afterwards, I am not sure how long you remain logged on but is there a feature where you can change this time or how do you sign out after a purchase.
It would be best to sign out if you are leaving the computer a few minutes after your purchase.

Logic used to have a feature where you could collaborate over the internet?
Having this discussion the other day, Logic definitely at one point had a feature where you could collaborate on arrangements over the internet, possibly version 7 or early 8.
Can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
Anyone help me out here?Sussed it, it was called the Emagic Rocket Network and it was released way back on Logic Platinum 4.6 and removed on Logic 5.

My keyboard will work for about 5-12 typed letters and then will beep each time I try to type a letter, and no type appears, and I have to click on the field again to start typing!! Just getting this question typed was a huge chore!! We even bought a new keyboard and it did not fix the issue.
It depends on what keyboard you have, if not than their May be a problem with your device

Sometimes that you see something it saves in cache, (or could be that the show is in progress to be deleted) so here's the problem.
Just restart your device to see if the cache of the shows deletes themselves.
Then try to import your music again.

First of all, I would have to say that getting in touch with you is a nightmare and I am not at all happy that I can't just email or live chat with someone who can help! I am not a technical person, I just want to be able to use Photoshop Elements and get on with it. I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine. I then got a message that advised that the trial version would expire, which it subsequently has (I have been trawling your site for weeks and weeks trying to find an email or phone contact to get some assistance).
