Get songs out of Genius Mixes??

ok I love the Genius Mix feature but I have my cousin who syncs her iPod with my computer and I have some of the songs and they show up in the Mix. Is there anyway to get them out by changing something? I have already unchecked it (not sure what that does) and I have changed the genre to something completely different but nothing works.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.
You will need to move the music from his computer to hers, then sync. You can use the backup copy that should always be maintained to move the music over.
Since the ipod touch will sync with one computer at a time, when you sync to another computer, it will first erase the content from the ipod, then replace with content from the new computer.

Can I limit the number of songs in a genius mix (not a playlist)?

I would like to limit the number of songs in a Genius Mix (not a Genius playlist). Is this possible in any way, including on iPhone or iPad? If so, how?
I've seen some earlier answers, but they apply to earlier versions of iTunes. I'm using 10.2.2.

A Genius mix is limited to how many songs in the selected playlist fit the Genius mix profile.
A Genius playlist is limited to 25, 50, 75 or 100 songs.
A Genius playlist is a limited Genius mix.

Get rid of these Genius-Mixes in iTunes-Match

Hi Folks,
I'd really like to get rid of These Genius-Mixes in my iTunes-Match library. I've already tried to erase them on my PC via iTunes and synchronisation, but I didn't suceed.
And unlike the other lists, you can't touch them until the X-Button appears.
Could anybody please help me to get rid of these lists?

This is what I did and it fixed my three that didn't have working iMatch Genius:
( I don't know what if any fixed this )
I turned off iMatch on only one iPhone, my 5s, I left the 4s and iPad alone.
I turned it back on.
Still no iMatch Genious
I clicked on update iMatch on my 15" Macbook Pro.
Waited
I then made sure iMatch was "on" on all devices.
I opened up iTunes and then Clicked on Genious just to open without clicking on any mix.
I left the phone on, (practised the piano) and came back to it 30 mins later.
I then had iMatch's Genious working.
I did the same, basically to the 4s and the iPad:
opened up iTunes and then Genious, with clicking on any mix and waited (more piano practice)
Now I have iMatch's Genious Mix working on all of the devices that didn't work before.
Did anything I did have anything to do with solving the issue? I have no idea.
But my iTunes on my 15" Macbook, my new one, locks up right away but no locking up on anything else except my ofther Macbook Pro, the 17"er.

Can't get album view in genius mixes to work right

Hi - I'm not sure what is going on but I can't see the list or cover view while in Genius mixes. Also, some of the album covers are showing up and some not. But - I can't see what the mix is as the list won't show up and that makes the Genius mix not worth using if I can't even see what Itunes is selecting for me.
I tried looking in the view menu but no help.

You don't get list view or cover view with the mixes. You can always submit this as a request to Apple at:

Are you talking about in iTunes? When you select that individual song in the main "music" section and pull up "Get info", do you see the artwork in the artwork tab?
Or is it ok in iTunes and is the problem just on your mobile device? If so, which one.

You can pull it up in DJ if you want, and that gives you a glimpse of what's in there, but only a max of a 100 songs. But, frankly, it sounds like the lack of visibility into genius mixes are sufficiently annoying for you that you might want to consider not using it. Use plain old genius playlists (select song, hit , save it as a playlist): That behaves more like it sounds like you want.

How can I see a list of the songs in a genius mix?

I would like to see the lists of the songs that are in the Genius Mixes created by Apple. I do not know if there is any way to do this. I've tried to use the "Up Next" function, but but it only provides a partial list of the songs, and does not allow you to copy them.

If I understand what you are saying, you might see if you can drag a divider from the bottom of the bookmarks window, underneath the picture-previews, up higher to reveal the list of bookmarks. Three little lines at the bottom of the window should indicate where to drag the divider. I am running Safari 5.1.3 in Lion 10.7.3, so I am really only guessing here.

Rating Songs While Playing Genius Mixes?

I love the Genius Mix feature of iTunes. But I also like to rate my music for making smart playlists. How do you rate songs while you're playing Genius Mixes. There is no stars to click when you mouse of the the mix folder. Any ideas?

Apple - really? Why can't I just have a LIST VIEW of genius mixes again? Just becuase this works doesn't mean it isn't totally combersome and frustrating.
Sometimes a list really IS the best answer. I have to click someplace to see if I've already rated a song while using Genius to randomly play my music? Is the goal to discourage our using Genuis? If so, it's working. And I really sort of liked it...

Cannot get songs out of itunes library

This is an very complex problem and if you can solve it you are a legend. I have spent an hour on the phone to apple tech support with no luck.
I have donwloaded some songs I do not want. They were directly downloaded to my iphone. Now when I delete them from iTunes library they transfer back when I sync. I have tried everything. I have changed settings so that when I sync only selected playlists sync. I was then planing to delete them from iTunes when they were no longer on the phone and porblem solved. Believe it or not, despite my phone only showing one playlist (the one I selected) which did not contain any of the songs I want to get rid of, the album (the dreaded Christmas album) still comes up when you look in albums on the iphone. How is this possible?
This is all connected up in the icloud, is this why it keeps popping up? I need to stop purchases from transferrring to the iTunes library so that I can sync a library that does not contain the offending album and thus remove them from the phone. I don't want 100 Christmas songs on my phone.
Yes I have tried unchecking the songs and telling iTunes to only sync checked songs. This did not work either.

I was able to get the third playlist in the correct order. I had to change the arrow direction over the number column, and then drag and drop the songs back in the order I wanted them, and then synced, and now it seems to be ok.

Why is genius unavailable for some songs? Why does genius make bad decisions, i.e.-no songs compatible as genius mixes w/ say, an obvious blues new purchase, that, even after an update, is unsuitable for other blues songs in my library...it seems redicul

How to get songs out of a used ipod touch then reassign

My son gave his old Ipod touch to his little sister. i think its a 1st gen. He has about 1200 songs and wants to be able to transfer all his songs onto his iphone. Hasn't used it in so long, he doesn't remember his login and password into his old itunes account. I installed itunes onto her computer, plugged in the ipod and the name of the ipod shows but does not show any songs in the library but i know they are in there becuase we can hear them on the ipod. So first, I need to know how to make a backup (on CDs)of all of these songs so that we can transfer them onto his iphone....then to erase them all off of the ipod so that she can start fresh with a new account, etc. To all of you who are much smarter than I....your help is greatly appreciated.

How do i get songs out of itunes from a previous computer?

My previous computer went to crap and it had all my songs and downloads. how do i retrieve them? and everything i currently have on my phone wont save to my new computer

If for some reason you have failed to do the basics and maintain a bzckup copy of your computer, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

ITunes Match, problems to sincronize the Genius Mixes with my iPad and iPhone

It's pretty simple, meanwhile in iTunes of my Macbook Air (with iTunes Match activated) I can have the genius mixes that I wish, but in the music of my iPad and iPhone (with iTunes Match activated too), only I've got 4 mixes; I do not why and I've really tried everything, I mean, activate, deactivate, synchronize manually, etc. In spite of all I didn't get the genius mixes in my devices. ¿What is it the weirder? It's in the beginning all worked wonderful, I mean, when I activated for first time iTunes Match everything was OK, there wasn't any problem if I sincronized, but suddenly, one day stoped to make its work, ¿Can anybody help me? I really I'd appreciate it. I've more than two thousand songs and the genius mixes are very easy to listen music. thank you.

Ok, I see. Keep in mind that the Genius mixes in iTunes will not be exactly the same as the Genius mixes on your iOS devices. I don't know why this is, but I suspect it is because they are locally generated. So you simply may not get more than 4 mixes on your devices.
I think, though, the best trouble shooting step is to disable iTM on the devices, launch the Music app and let the content clear out, then re-enable the service on the devices. See if that gives you any better results.

Genius Mixes (iTunes 11.0)

Hey, so I updated my iTunes to the 11.0 version and I really like it. The only problem would be with my Genius Mixes. I have a lot of stuff that I purchased through the store that I deleted from a long time ago and I know that they're still on the Cloud. I turned off the default setting of showing Music, Movies, etc. from the Could in your library, but whenever I update my Genius Mixes, I get songs that I deleted (and I deleted them for a reason!) in my mixes.
Basically, is there any way to get rid of Cloud songs on my Genius Mixes?

My family shares a single iTunes store account, even though we have separate iCloud accounts. Now with iTunes 11, my genius mixes are all polluted with music that my teenage daughter downloaded.
I suppose you might be able to set up a second iTunes account, or just log out of iTunes when you want to listen to just your own locally stored music, then log back in to your account when you want to make purchases, etc. Not elegant, but it might work.

Genius Mixes Not Working- On iTunes on Windows 7- 64 bit

I built my iTunes library from my entire collection- of over 10,000 songs (more than 64 gigabytes)- and all songs are organized through iTunes Media folder- all have the proper information required for identification, match etc. These include 90s songs, 60s songs- and the latest. All sorts of music is in there. But when I turn on Genius I get NOTHING- Nada- no genius mixes, and although genius is on, I get no Genius playlists when select any track and ask for a play list. I have gone through all the forums I could lay my hands on, and tried all the tricks there. Now, I am at a loss. I filled more than half of my iPod Classic (160G), and would love to see what the genius mixes and genius playlists look like for my collections- but I see none. Any ideas? thanks.

Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

How Can I Control (or Understand) Genius Mix Lists?

I am running iTunes 11. I decided to turn on Genius Mix (Menu--> Store--> Turn On Genius). This was fine. There was some information exchanged, some calculations done, etc. and an hour or so later I had a category under "Genius" of "Genius Mixes". There were twelves such mixes: Folk Rock Mix, Vocal Mix, Jaxx Mix, Classical Mix, Contemporary Folk Mix, Clssic Rock Mix, Electric Blues Mix, East Coast Rap Mix, Classic R&B Mix, Country Mix, Sountracks Mix and another Classic Rock Mix.
I did absolutely nothing to specify these categories and I have no idea how many songs are in each mix.I don't know if these are "canned" categories or if they are generated based on my content. I assume there are categories others have that i don't have.
Only by attempting to add one or more of these Genius Mixes to my iPhone have I been able to learn how big they are: Most are Gigabytes in size. Perhaps my entire music library has been tranched into these categories. I don't know. I have been unable to find any tools to show me a listing of the songs in the Genius Mixes other than using the "Next Up" drop down menu that is shown when I am playing a song from one of the mixes. Trying to employ that tool to learn anything about the lists would be just short of stupid.
I can make my own Genius lists by selecting a song and then limiting the size to 25, 50...etc. songs. I like these. But these huge "Genius Mixes" just seem silly. If anyone knows how to get them to display as lists so that we can see what's in them rather than "album cover quilts" that show four clustered album covers I would be most grateful (and embarrassed, as this would seem to be an obvious viewing option for me to maybe have overlooked). Either way, any bits o' wisdom or information most welcome.

As you have already seen, LabVIEW and VC++ running in their own process. The memory space is not shared between process.
What you need is Inter-Process Communication. Call Dll.vi alone is not going to slove your problem.
If you are a good C/C++ programmer, search MSDN site for Inter-Process Communication. There are a few choices.
You have to impliment one of those method in a dll, so you can call the dll in LabVIEW.
