Get Summary Info is gone

I've been playing around with Finder today in an attempt to get it to remember window sizes after reboot, etc., and just noticed that the option for "Get summary info" (select multiple items, right click, should be in the menu) is gone. Very bizarre. Does anyone know how to restore this?

That's not what I'm trying to resolve, but thank you anyway.
I did just discover that if I select multiple files, right click, the "Get Info" option changes to "Get Summary Info" if I also hold down the control key. But prior to today, it used to be that if I selected multiple items, right clicked, the default option would be "Get Summary Info" -- I did not need to also hold down the control key. Now I'm trying to figure out how to change that back.

How do I change it so only one window opens up with a total file size summary instead of separate windows when I select multiple files? For example, if I click on 5 video files, right click and hit "get summary info" 5 separate windows open up. In Panther only one opens up.

That only produces a single summary window for me, as in Panther.
Which operating system are you using? Has it been updated? Are you absolutely sure you are asking it to get summary info and are not suddenly changing mouse clicks at the last instant?

User Exit in 10g - To get client info

Hi all
We have a user exit call in forms 4.5 which returns client info (OS version).
As we are going for 10g, the user exits will reside in AS.
Is there any way by which i can use the same user exit to get client info now ?

in the old days of forms 6i we created tons of java-applets for host-commands and so on.
with the first version of webutil all the applets we created ourself were gone, because all functions were in the webutil-toolset.
You can use it beginning with forms 9i. It's very good and easy to use. Look in OTN where the developer-downloads are

ITunes 7 - Problem getting calendar info to load on Nano

Is anyone else having problems with the extra features? Before the iTunes 7 Update I was able to update Outlook calendar info on my Nano. Now all the previous info is gone and I can't get it back on. Does anyone have any answers?

Apple help line could not fix this...apparently they haven't figured it out yet, since they claim they haven't heard anything about this problem in the week the new version has been out. Last opinion was that it was more likely a problem with Outlook 2003 (pass the buck) and the rest of us can only wait til someone at MS or Apple finally fixes the problem.

So my daughter plugged her ipad i to home pc to download music from itunes and it wiped everthing out of her ipad and copied my ipad from the last time I had mine plugged in. Is there anyway to get my info back like all her pictures?

If you wiped it then the data is gone.
your only hope would be to get a new iphone and restore any backups made of the old phone to the new one.

HT1414 I updated to new ios and i accidently hit the restore button and now i have old pictures and text messages on my phone is there anyway to get my info back on my phone that i had before the update?

Setting up as "new" will set the device as if it were just taken out of the box. This certainly would not restore any content that was on the device.
Sounds like what you want is to simply restore to a more recent backup. You did backup the device prior to updating correct? If you did not, it's unlikely that you can get the content back.

After upgrading to 10.2.2.12 on windows XP SP3 , itunes does not display any summary info or buttons/options. The buttons work but it does not display the text on the button or the options available.

I recently upgraded the iTunes software to 10.2.2.12 on my Windows XP laptop. Since then, iTunes stopped displaying the Summary info
, the text on the buttons, the various drop down options. The buttons seem to be working but I can't tell what that button is supposed to do
or the option I am selecting. This is preventing me from syncing my photos to the laptop.
this was not a problem with the previous version of iTunes.
Actions taken :
- I tried downloading iTunes again and repairing the install. That did not fix it.
- Don't want to uninstall it as I am worried that I would lose all the songs and the purchases etc.
1. Has anyone encountered this ?
2. Is there a solution for this ?

Yeah it does, although the problem predates version 10.2.2.12. It's been around since earlier-on in the version 10s (at least).
It's usually Segoe UI font trouble on the Windows 7 systems too. Unfortunately, the Vortical troubleshooting technique only works on XP and Vista systems, so dealing with the issue on a Windows 7 system is trickier. (There's a bunch of different possible issues relating to the fonts that could be in play, and so the treatment tends to depend on which issue in particular you've got with the Segoe_UI fonts.)

With Mavericks you won't get the Info tab, you use iCloud to sync contacts - from http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12117 :

from the information you provided i can't tell if it is a hardware problem or a software problem. I do have an idea though, try to press your home button and lock button at the same time.

How to get summary columns in delimited text file
I am trying to generate a delimited text file output with delimited_hdr = no.The report is a Group above report with summary columns at the bottom.In the text file the headers are not getting repeated & thats ok.The problem is the summary data is getting repeated for each row of data.Is there a way where i will get all the data & summary data will get displayed only once.I have to import the delimited text file in excel spreadsheet.

When I used desformat=DELIMITEDDATA with desttype=FILE, I get error "unknown printer driver DELIMITEDDATA". When you look for help, DELIMITED is not even listed as one of the values for DESTFORMAT. But if you scroll down and look for DELIMITER it says , this works only in conjuction with DESTFORMAT=DELIMITED !!!!!!??!! This is in 9i.
Has this thing worked for anybody ? Can anyone please tell if they were able to suppress the sumary columns or the parent columns of a master-detail data for that matter ?

Select the desired files then press OPTION and select Show Inspector from the Finder's File menu.

You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Torch is not working I need to get my info from BB Protect

My Torch just stopped working and I just got an iPhone. I need to get my info that is stored on BB Protect and download my pics, etc. into my PC or my new iPhone. How can I do this? I have a lot of work stuff in there and I am desperate!
