Get the selected or active tab on a tabstrip to show different content

Hi All,
I have two tabs (TAB1 and TAB2) on a tabstrip. And on each of these tabs I have a table. Both tables are binded to the same context node.
The property selectedTab of the Tabstrip is binded to an attribute "TAB" of a context node "TABSTRIP".
I defined a supply function on this context node "TABSTRIP" in order to show the TAB1 by the first building up the view.
METHOD supply_tabstrip .
* local structure for the activ TAB
  DATA: stru_tabstrip TYPE if_componentcontroller=>element_tabstrip.
  CLEAR stru_tabstrip.
* set the default-value
* --> This is valid untill the user choose another Tab
  MOVE 'TAB1' TO stru_tabstrip-tab.
* bind the filled structure to the context
  node->bind_structure(
    new_item             = stru_tabstrip
    set_initial_elements = abap_true ).
ENDMETHOD.
I also definded a supply function on the context node of the table (which is mentioned above) to fill it with content.
Now i need to define a query to fill the table with two different content and for this I need to know which tab is selected by the user. How can i find which tab is selected or which tab is active?
Thank you for any help
Best regards
Haleh

Hi,
I have a  context attrinbute SELECTED to which the SelectedTab property of tabstrip is bound.
Implement action onSelect for Tabstrip -  Use this code snippet  -

  lt_events = wdevent->parameters.
*"Set to 'TAB' in lt_events
  read table  lt_events into ls_events with key name = wd_assist->GC_TAB.  "TAB
  if sy-subrc eq 0.
    assign ls_events-value->* to <fs_value>.
    if sy-subrc eq 0.
      lv_select_tab = <fs_value>.
    endif.                 "IF sy-subrc eq 0.
  endif.                 "IF sy-subrc eq 0.
***Set the selected tab value
  CALL METHOD WD_CONTEXT->SET_ATTRIBUTE

**Call additional data if tab selected

  • How to get the selection parameters from logical database into one of the t

    Hi Sap ABAP Champians,
    How to get the selection parameters from logical database into one of the tab in the tabstrip selection-screen.
    Please help me for this
    Thanks
    Basu

    Hi
    Thanks, that will work, but then I'll have to insert code into all my reports.
    I can see that "Application Server Control Console" is able to rerun a report.
    This must mean that the Report Server has access to the runtime parameters.
    But how?
    Cheers

  • How to get the selected entry from a Dropdown (using IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS)

    Hello,
    I created a Selection screen by adding attribute M_HANDLER of type IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS.
    This way I can create a selection screen with normal select-options.
    Now I added a parameter for a dropdown list. The Value set is passed correctly. No problem there. The values are filled and diplayed correctly.

                             it_value_set   = lta_ship_to_table
                             i_within_block = 'BLK1' ).
    The problem is to GET the selected value in the method that is called after clicking on the Search button.
    I tried using several methods, for example GET_PARAMETER_FIELD and GET_SELECTION_SCREEN_ITEMS.

                  IMPORTING
                     et_selection_screen_items = lrf_get_selection_screen_items ).
    Result was INITIAL, although the table was retrieved with all values.

    Also INITIAL.
    It looks like I am missing a step (maybe to set lead selection for this field). What did I miss?
    How can I get to the value?

    Thanks!

  • How to get the selected items from listbox

    Regarding listbox i have two questions
    1) I want to get the selected items as per the order in which ihave selected.Presently i'm getting in the ascending order.For example after selcting the 1,2,6 if i select 3 then its giving 1,2,3,6.But i want it in the order 1,2,6,3
    2)I want to select items from a single list box to many other listboxes.(ie) my first selection should goto first,second one to the second listbox and like this.How should i write the logic.
    please give me a suggestion.

    In order to have the selected items line up in accordance to the selection order, please do it one at a time. (That's the limit for that VI)
    If you need more than that (i.e. to regconize which item clicked first and which one comes later), you may have to figure it out ya
    Wish you good luck. Perhaps, someone else has a already made vi.
    Cheers!

  • How to get the selected values from the shuttle

    Hi
    Please tell me how to get the selected option values from the shuttle leading list.
    Thanks

    you can also obtain the option values present in the leading and trailing lists using the
    following methods:
    public String[] getLeadingListOptionValues(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean
    webBean)
    public String[] getTrailingListOptionValues(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean
    webBean)For example, the following code sample returns an array of values in the trailing list, ordered according to the
    order in which they appear in the list:
    String[] trailingItems =
    shuttle.getTrailingListOptionValues(pageContext, shuttle);Thanks

  • How can I get the selected rows from two ALV grids at the same time?

    I have a program that uses two ALV grids in one dialog screen. I'm using the OO ALV model (SALV* classes).
    The user can select any number of rows from each grid. Then, when a toolbar pushbutton is pressed, I'd have to retrieve the selected rows from both grids and start some processing with these rows.
    It is no problem to assign event handlers to both grids, and use the CL_SALV_TABLE->GET_SELECTIONS and CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS methods to find out which rows were marked by the user. Trouble is, this only works when I raise an event in each grid separately, for instance via an own function that I added to the grid's toolbar. So, I can only see the selected rows of the same grid where such an event was raised.
    If I try to do this in the PBO of the dialog screen (that contains the two grids), the result of CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS will be empty, as the program does not recognize the marked entries in the grids. Also, an event for grid1 does not see the selected rows from grid2 either.
    As it is right now, I can have an own button in both grid's toolbar, select the rows, click on the extra button in each grid (this will tell me what entries were selected per grid). Then, I'd have to click on a third button (the one in the dialog screen's toolbar), and process the selected rows from both grids.
    How can I select the rows, then click on just one button, and process the marked entries from both grids?
    Is it somehow possible to raise an event belonging to each grid programmatically, so that then the corresponding CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS will work?
    Thanks.

    Hello Tamas ,
    If I try to do this in the PBO of the dialog screen (that contains the two grids), the result of CL_SALV_SELECTIONS->GET_SELECTED_ROWS will be empty, as the program does not recognize the marked entries in the grids. Also, an event for grid1 does not see the selected rows from grid2 either.--->
    is it possible to  have a check box in each grid  & get the selected lines in PAI of the screen ?

  • How to get the selected node value of a tree which is build on java code

    Hi Experts,
    How can i get the selected node value if I build the tree programatically.
    I am using the following code in selectionListener but it is throwing error.
    RichTreeTable treeTable = (RichTreeTable)getQaReasontreeTable();
    CollectionModel _tableModel =
    (CollectionModel)treeTable.getValue();
    RowKeySet _selectedRowData = treeTable.getSelectedRowKeys();
    Iterator rksIterator = _selectedRowData.iterator();
    String selectedQaCode ="";
    while (rksIterator.hasNext()) {
    List key = (List)rksIterator.next();
    JUCtrlHierBinding treeTableBinding =
    (JUCtrlHierBinding)((CollectionModel)treeTable.getValue()).getWrappedData();
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding nodeBinding =
    treeTableBinding.findNodeByKeyPath(key);
    String nodeStuctureDefname =
    nodeBinding.getHierTypeBinding().getStructureDefName();
    selectedQaCode = selectedQaCode + nodeBinding.getAttribute(0);
    where I am using following link to create a tree with java code.

    Please help me in resolving this issue.
    Regards
    Gayaz

    Hi,
    you should also move
    JUCtrlHierBinding treeTableBinding =
    (JUCtrlHierBinding)((CollectionModel)treeTable.getValue()).getWrappedData();
    out of the while loop as this is not necessary to be repeated for each key in the set

  • How to get the selected rows & columns in the table?

    hi everybody,
                         In my application the table is kept inside the event structure.I select the cells  in the table (using mouse) on running time.How to get the selected number of rows & columns in that table?

    Hello,
    You can fill selected values of the table by writing to it or the corresponding property using a property node - the table is just a 2D array of strings.  I think for your "disable" question you are referring to the shortcut menu (when you right click).  If you are using LabVIEW 8.x, you can edit or disable that shortcut menu - just right click on your table at edit time and choose Advanced >> Run-Time Shortcut Menu.

  • Check box als column in a standard table, how to get the selected row

    Dear experts,
    I habe standard tablt with check box as column. Now I want to get the current selected row structure and do some changes. How could I solve this problem? till now I just know to get the structure via lead selection.
    lo_node->get_element().
    lo_element = lo_node->get_static_attributes ( static_attributes = ls_row).
    How could I get the element through check-box in stead of lead selection. Many thanks!

    check this code
    To get the selected row number
    data: lr_element type ref to if_wd_context_element,
              lv_index type i.
      lr_element = wdevent->get_context_element( name = 'CONTEXT_ELEMENT'  ).
      lv_index = lr_element->get_index( ).

  • Getting the number of active connections in a connection Pool

    Hi,
    I have an application deployed on jboss. DB used is db2. For monitoring purpose i need to get the number of active and idle connections at any point of time. I am trying to use commons-dbcp jar to get this data using BasicDataSourceClass. Following is the piece of code.
    Context initialContext;
    try {
         initialContext = new InitialContext();
         DataSource ds = (DataSource) initialContext.lookup(myjndiname);
         logger.info("************CONNECTION POOL DATA->" + ds.getClass().getName() + "************" + ds.getClass() + "**************");
         BasicDataSource bds = (BasicDataSource) datasource;
              logger.info("************CONNECTION POOL DATA-> ACTIVE CONN=" + bds.getNumActive() + " IDLE CONN=" + bds.getNumIdle() + " INIT SIZE=" + bds.getInitialSize());
    catch (NamingException e) {
         // TODO Auto-generated catch block
         e.printStackTrace();
    This code gave a class cast exception at the point datasource is cast to BasicDataSource. The class name returned by ds is WrapperDataSource. I have few queries on this:-
    1. What configurations do i need so that datasource returned by InitialContext is BasicDataSource? FYI i tried to add the BasicDataSourceFactory in db2-ds.xml. But it still didnt work
    2. Is there any other way to find the number of active connections in a connection pool? I dont want any server specific solution.
    Pls help.
    Thanks

  • Unable to get the selection value of OAMessageChoiceBean

    Hi,
    From our 11i to R12 upgrade, in Customer Advance Search page, we are unable to get the proper handle for OAMessageChoiceBean (in extendedCO).
    The code snippet for handling the bean is as follows:
    OAMessageChoiceBean PartyStatusFilter = (OAMessageChoiceBean)vOAPageContext.getRootWebBean().findChildRecursive("xxfeF426PartySearchStatus");
    String xxTest= PartyStatusFilter.getSelectionValue(vOAPageContext);
    The value for above xxTest (in R12 env.) is coming as null. Whereas, the same code is working in 11i enviroment and the output of xxTest="A".
    Hence, we are unable to get the selection value of the messagechoicebean in our R12 environment. Moreover, I've already looked into similar previous posts of this forum, also tried using getSelectionText(vOAPageContext) or getSelectedValue(), but it didn’t worked too.
    Any pointers please?
    Many Thanks,
    Zahid

    Hi Keerthi,
    I'm still unable to get the value using your provided code. The referenced snippet I used is as follows:
    String messageChoiceValue = null;
    vOAPageContext.writeDiagnostics(s, "Before the IF LOOP", 2);
    if(vOAPageContext.getParameter("xxfeF426PartySearchStatus")!= null ) {
    vOAPageContext.writeDiagnostics(s, "Inside the IF LOOP ", 2);
    messageChoiceValue = vOAPageContext.getParameter("MessageChoiceID");
    vOAPageContext.writeDiagnostics(s, "Value of MessageChoice... "+messageChoiceValue, 2);
    if( messageChoiceValue != null ) {
    l++;
    saveFilterRow(SSLineVO, HeaderId, new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(l), "C", "Status", messageChoiceValue);
    vOAPageContext.writeDiagnostics(s, "After the IF LOOP", 2);
    The resultant output is as follows:
    "Before the IF LOOP", "After the IF LOOP"
    It doesn't goes inside the IF condition as the valuie is null. Any other alternative?

  • ¿How can I to get the selected index from a table in sapui5?

    I have a multiselect table for each item I need to open a Dialog and bind then the table.
    How Can I to obtain the index position from my table?
    var myTable = sap.ui.getCore().byId(this.sId);
    var myItem = sap.ui.getCore().byId(myTable.getSelectedItem());
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You can also use getSelectedContexts of table instance to get the selected indices of sap.m.Table
    var aContexts = myTable.getSelectedContexts(true);
    for(var i = 0 ; i < aContexts.length ; i++)
    var selectedIndex = parseInt(aContexts[i].sPath .split("/")[2]);
    Thanks,

  • How to get the list of active devices in current wifi network?

    Hi All,
    I am going to a start a new Network based app. So please any one give me an idea on the below question.
    How to get the list of active devices in current wifi network?

    Nope I want the log-in user to retrieve its Group where he is belong. I have this following code
    strUsername = Request.getParameter("username").toLowerCase().trim()+"@dev.test.com.ph";
    strPassword = Request.getParameter("password").toLowerCase().trim();
    Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, INITCTX);
    env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, MY_HOST);
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_AUTHENTICATION, "simple");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL,strUsername);
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, strPassword);
    // enable tracing
    env.put("com.sun.naming.ldap.trace.ber", System.err);
    // Create the initial context
    DirContext initCtx = new InitialDirContext(env);
    // Get the target context
    DirContext targetCtx = (DirContext)initCtx.lookup("");
    SearchControls constraints = new SearchControls();
    constraints.setSearchScope(SearchControls.SUBTREE_SCOPE);
    // Perform the search on the target context
    NamingEnumeration enum = targetCtx.search("","(userPrincipalName="+strUsername+")",constraints);
    javax.naming.directory.Attributes attrs;
    NameClassPair item;
    String[] attrIds = new String[]{"MemberOf"};
    // For each answer found, get its "Groups" attribute
    // If relative, resolve it relative to the target context
    // If not relative, resolve it relative to the initial context
    while (enum.hasMore()) {
    item = (NameClassPair)enum.next();
    Out.println(item);
    attrs = targetCtx.getAttributes(item.getName(), attrIds);
    Out.println(attrs + "<br>");
         initCtx.close();
    It returns all this string :
    {memberof=memberOf: CN=CMCanadaRD,OU=Groups / Teams,DC=dev,DC=test,DC=com,DC=ph, CN=iMngrCanadaRW,OU=Groups / Teams,DC=dev,DC=test,DC=com,DC=ph, CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=dev,DC=test,DC=com,DC=ph, CN=Backup Operators,CN=Builtin,DC=dev,DC=test,DC=com,DC=ph, CN=Administrators,CN=Builtin,DC=dev,DC=test,DC=com,DC=ph}
    How can i retrieve the Group named CMCanadaRW and CMCanadaRD on the Attribute?
