For Example:- If any user make an entry in List A and it's ID is 10
If another User make an entry in List B then it's ID Should be 11.

Hi,
Besides the workflow way provided by Romeo, an alternative I can provide is that, you can also use
Event Receiver with SharePoint Object Model which can help to implement more complex requirements.
With Event Receiver, we can catch the moment when an item is added to a list which can help to run our custom code in the right timing.
Here is a step by step sample on creating a simple Item added event receiver for Custom List in SharePoint 2010:

Unable to get the SharePoint 2013 List names using Client object model for the input URL
Please can you help with this issue.
We are not able to get the SharePoint 2013 List names using Client object model for the input URL.
What we need is to use default credentials to authenticate user to get only those list which he has access to.
clientContext.Credentials = Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials
But in this case we are getting error saying ‘The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.’
Instead of passing Default Credentials, if we pass the User credentials using:
clientContext.Credentials = New Net.NetworkCredential("Administrator", "password", "contoso")
It authenticates the user and works fine. Since we are developing a web part, it would not be possible to pass the user credentials. Also, the sample source code works perfectly fine on the SharePoint 2010 environment. We need to get the same functionality
working for SharePoint 2013.
We are also facing the same issue while authenticating PSI(Project Server Interface) Web services for Project Server 2013.
Can you please let us know how we can overcome the above issue? Please let us know if you need any further information from our end on the same.
Sample code is here: http://www.projectsolution.com/Data/Support/MS/SharePointTestApplication.zip
Regards, PJ Mistry (Email: [email protected] | Web: http://www.projectsolution.co.uk | Blog: EPMGuy.com)Hi Mistry,
I sure that CSOM will authenticate without passing the
"clientContext.Credentials = Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials" by default. It will take the current login user credentials by default. For more details about the CSOM operations refer the below link.

Sharepoint 2010 foundation list open(export) to Access button disable?
1. Why In sharepoint 2010 foundation list "Open with Access" button is disabled?
2. Some PCs don't even able to see the "Open with Access" button in datasheet view?It is a external list
Please firstly make sure you have installed Assess 2010 properly.
And please check if the issue occured in all lists or just one list.
Click File menu after you open the Access, you will see Open. There will open a windows, in the file type dropdownlist(the default value is "All Files(*.*)"), you can select "Microsoft SharePoint Foundation"
http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/154/t/201186.aspx
. Check if the add-on has been enabled by clicking
Internet Options of IE, then selecting Programs > Manage add-ons. Here’s the screenshot for your reference.
http://answers.flyppdevportal.com/categories/sharepoint2010/sharepoint2010general.aspx?ID=9afe0617-3dc0-49d2-919f-659bf80fde38
The problem stems from having done a custom installation of Office Professional Plus 2010 and only installing Access.
If you are doing a custom installation, you must expand Office Tools and Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support. Under Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support, there is another Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support. Set this to Run from My Computer,
and the Open with Access button will work.
If this helped you resolve your issue, please mark it Answered -
Content parsing of the sharepoint 2010 doc library documents
Can we parse the content of document(word, excel, ppt, pdf) which is uploaded to the SharePoint 2010 library.
My requirement is to check that if there is any word (which is sensitive) and matches to my regexp should be blocked while adding the item or updating the item in the library.
Is there any out of the box feature available to parse the content or how can we do it pro-grammatically.Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to check the document content when item adding or updating.
We can create an Event Receiver for the document library and we can use Open XML framework to read documents in
ItemAdding and ItemUpdating methods.

Connect Outlook 2013 to Sharepoint 2010 External List fails
Clicking Connect to Outlook in a SharePoint 2010 external list (ECT) produces the following message:
"The Microsoft Common Language Runtime 3.5 is not installed on this computer."
The client is Office 2013 Pro Plus 32-bit on Windows 8.1 64-bit with a standard installation including BCS. .Net 3.5 has been installed from Turn Windows features on or off.
On Windows 7 and Outlook 2013, clicking Connect to Outlook results in the usual running of the .vsto, but nothing happens in Outlook (SharePoint External Lists does not appear). Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 works correctly. Connecting to a standard SharePoint
contact list from Outlook 2013/Windows 8.1 works as well. Offline Synchronization for External Lists is enabled for the farm and the site.Hi Canadian,
To synchronize external data with Office products, you must have Windows 7 or later and the following free software products: SQL Server Compact 4.0, .NET Framework 4, and WCF Data Services 5.0 for OData V3 on each client computer (If necessary, you are
automatically prompted to download the software).
Please also make sure that you select Contact, Task, Appointment or Post as the Office Item Type for the external content type and Offline Sync for external list is set to Yes when you creating the external content type.

How to get the SharePoint user context available in custom federated search connector?
Hi,
I'm investigating the possibilities for developing a federated search connector for SharePoint 2013 Online. This should allow us to search a customer's database through our custom developed application (both on premise). We intend to develop
an remote federated search connector (using OpenSearch protocol) and configure a result source in SharePoint for that connector.
The problem I'm struggling with is that I want different search results from this ressult source based on the permissions of the user that is executing the search. The admin should find a lot because he has permissions on certain items in the custom
application. The employee should find just a few because he has no permissions on certain items in the custom application. We developed the custom application ourselveds and the search in that application is taking permissions into account: it doesn't
return results if a user doesn't have sufficient permissions. That part works just fine.
However, to be able to use that, the remote federated search connector must be able to identify the user that is executing the search in SharePoint Online. So: how do I get the SharePoint user context in the remote federated search connector?
I know I can configure the replacement token {User.Name} in the result source configuration, but that gives me the name of the user only. This is insufficient to get an identity, principal, token or whatever, that let's me log in into our custom
application.
I also know that in a provider hosted app, user context is passed through from SharePoint and is known within the remote app. But since result sources need fixed (or anonymous) credentials configuration for connecting to the remote federated search connector,
all users will be using the same credentials. This makes me assume these credentials are for securing communication and cannot be used within the execution of the search within the remote federated search connector.
At the moment, I'm stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Ruud.Hi,
Per my knowledge, we cannot get the SharePoint user context available in custom federated search connector with other methods.

Getting the Lync 2010 client to use 2013 Persistent Chat
We are migrating to Lync 2013 from 2010 and just testing the 2013 environment right now with a few users. Only thing left I need to configure is getting the Lync 2010 client to connect to the 2013 Persistent Chat server. Most of our users are Windows XP
so they can only use the 2010 client.
We did not have Group Chat prior to this so Persistent Chat is new to everyone. I created the Persistent Chat Endpoint in Lync 2013 per the article
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204901.aspx but now what.
The article tells you how to create the endpoint but that's it. What else is needed. Does a Lync user in 2013 need to exist that matches the SIP addresses in the command? The icon for Persistent Chat is not showing up in the Lync 2010 client so something
is missing. You still need this endpoint, as long you will Need Lync 2010 Chat clients. Without this endpoint, you will be able to login but could not find any chat rooms.
For login you use your normal Lync credential. Lync Chat server has not deployed before.
Have you test to use the Pchat with this user on a Lync 2013 client?

Preset default value of DropDown based on Content Type selection in the SharePoint 2010 library
Hi,
I have three site content types (Admin, Technical & Well) derived from base content type "Base" and added this content types to "Documents" library. I also have one site column "Category"(Dropdown) with values (Admin, Technical
& Well) which is available in all the content types.
Now, when i try to create a document based on "Admin" content type then "Category" value should be preset to "Admin", similarly when i select "Technical" content type then "Category" should be preset to "Technical"
and same with "well".
Can some one provide me how i can achieve this?
I am working in the SharePoint 2010 environment.
Regards,
ChakradharMy understanding is that , you have to display the category in all the content types.
So in that case create a content type like
Create a base content type -- with column category.
Create a Admin content type based on base content type as parent. By default ,the category column is available in admin content.
Create a Technical content type based on base content type as parent. By default ,the category column is available in Technical content type.
Create a Well content type based on base content type as parent. By default ,the category column is available in Well content type.

How do I get my XDP form in the SharePoint 2010 Adobe Form library?
I was able to get the Adobe LiveCycle samples for SharePoint to work. For some reason, I can't get my XDP forms to show up in the selection dropdown in the Adobe Form Library on SharePoint using the Adobe LiveCycle SharePoint connector for SharePoint 2010.
Is there a trick that you have to do to the form to make it available. The only difference that I noticed was the sample forms used a guide.
We are using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES3 and we have Adobe LiveCycle server ES4. We are using SharePoint 2010.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JoeI got this problem solved.
Solution:
Create new Adobe Livecyle form
Have an xsd created for the schema of what is going to be in the form
Import that data model when creating the form
Right-click on xsd data connection in form. Click Connection Properties.
Click Next.
Click the checkbox "Embed XML Schema" (This is what I was missing).
Click Finish.
That's it to make the form show up in the SharePoint Adobe Form Library. -
