Get "unresponcive script" errors frequently, then freeze for a min.or two.

After up-grading to FF4, I frequently get this message then the browser freezes for a minute or two, sometimes totally crashes.
Did not have this problem with 3.xxx .
OP system is Win XP.
Have checked for malware and viruses , nothing, seems to be a browser bug.
Also is slower about loading and responding.

Same thing is happening to me. Firefox freezes for a minute or two, but other programs are working (but slowly).
If you start up Windows Task Manager, it shows that CPU usage has suddenly shot up to nearly 100%, and the Firefox task is listed as "Not Responding".
This only started recently -- about version 6 or 7.

Same problem here. After upgrading to iOS 4.2.1 a couple of weeks ago I'm getting the same error as the OP in the first post. I've never activated the 3G service.
I tried turning the cellular service on and checking for updates, pulled and replaced the SIM card, rebooted, nothing helps. I'm still getting the error when I click on the "Check for Update" button in iTunes (v10.1) when my iPad 64GB 3G is connected to my iMac. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

On my MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.13, I am trying to save documents as pdfs under the print window, I get a scripting error and Firefox usually freezes/becomes nonresponsive. This happens every time I tried to perform this task.

This is a fresh install of Windows 7. It is installed on virtual environment on my mac mini using the parallels virtualization application.
I purchased the windows version of dream weaver CS 6 through an online website which I tried to install to my new windows instance. This is the academic version of the Dreamweaver application with a perpetual license that I am trying to install.
I verified my eligibility through adobe which gave me a link to download the CreateiveCloud Set-up program. I downloaded the install program in my windows environment and program and the gave the above error message. Below is a copy of my computers specs.

In Firefox, the word "chrome" refers to the browser frame, toolbars, etc., outside of the page.
This appears to be a problem with one or more of your AVG add-ons. If they were not disabled, you might need to disable or update them.

Firefox is slow to open and close. I get a "script error" that says it may be caused by a recently opened tab. What do I do to correct this problem. It is wreaking havoc when trying to open/close or move around the internet.

Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. I think I solved the problem by initiating the update in a different way, from the itunes panel where I can click to start the update, instead of saying yes when asked if I want to update when itunes launches in response to the iphone being plugged into the computer.

I bought an app which was free. To get the full version I then paid for it. I used it for months and now it's saying I have not got the full version and I no longer have access to the full app like I used to.

Try contacting the app support of the particular app your using.
Most apps have an app support button on their app page within itunes.
If they wont reply within a reasonable amount of time and you feel like the particular app developer has cheated you, bring the issue forward to apple care.
Note that app developer have their own customer support.

Get a script error on Netflix when I try moving the movie forwward or back.

I recently switched from IE to Mozilla Firefox,mainly because it is so much faster.I do not use IE at all anymore.I deleted it from my puter.Ever since then with Mozilla,when I try to move the movie forward or back on NetFlix, everything freezes.If I persist,I get a 'running scripts' error and a suggestion that I stop them from running.When I do so It seems to fix(?) the problem.This was not a problem with IE.

Can you confirm that Silverlight is set to "Always Activate" on the Add-ons page?
You can open that using either:
Ctrl+Shift+a
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Then scroll down and find Silverlight.
Assuming that checks out, then more generally...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

On XP SP3 can't run plug-in, get IE script error without running IE, click Yes or No, nothing more happens

I am running XP SP3 and FF 3.6.18. I have been having trouble opening PDFs in FF but not in other browsers. FF tells me to update my Adobe PDF plug-in. I click in the FF list to update, go through the procedure and when I click on run I get the following message: "Internet Explorer script error," although I am not running IE and I have no other applications open or running other than Avast anti-virus. The pane gives me two options to the question "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?": Yes or No. After clicking on either, the pane disappears, but nothing further happens. I have then downloaded the plug-in again, but when trying to run it I get the message: "Only a single instance of this application can run." I have tried downloading the plug-in to a different folder but get the same message. I have also turned off Avast with no change in the above. Now no PDFs open in FF. What to do? Thanks.

I can wait. After all, it was by waiting for the release of the 10h version after the 10e version sabotaged my flash installation, that I was eventually able to at least get Firefox up and running flash again...
It's just frustrating to think that the folks at Adobe can't come up with a better product testing cycle so they are unleashing these problems on end users systems...
I recognize that there may be some sort of issue with my particular system registry. If so, I wish I knew what it was...but flash releases are the only installations I ever have any difficulty with...All of the other software I run updates without failing....sad to say...
Perhaps I will try running a home edition version of secedit (See here)http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313222 instead of the clean or repair install...I'll let you know what I decide and how it works out...
