GET URL opens a blank screen

I have a flash site that I have some PDF's attached to using the Get URL function opening a blank window.
My client is saying users are clicking on the window and it is timing out. This happend once to me and I got a time out. I think this was from the server and a DNS error.
The links are correct. On my computer it is fine however I have experienced this once or twice.
does anyone know why this might be happening?
thnaks

Try disconnecting and letting the battery drain completely.
I've had this a few times and has resolved it every time.
Though It Really shouldn't happen..

Try connecting the device to your iTunes library and restoring it.  If necessary place the iPod into recovery mode using the instructions in this Apple support document.

  • Pages opens to blank screen

I have the new Pages, 5.5.2 and OS 10.3.3 on a late 2012 iMac. When I open Pages, the screen is blank. All I get is the menu bar. I can go to File > Open Recent, and nothing displays. If I select 'Full Screen', it appears. I can then go to the Window tab on the menu and anything listed, when selected appears. All would now seem to appear as it should be. Then quit Pages. Open Pages, and I am back to square one, nothing visible. If I look under the Windows tab, there are documents listed, one of them even has a check mark. But until I select "Full Screen", the window is blank. I often leave three or four documents open that I am always working with. And previously, when I quit Pages, and later reopened it, those four documents would be there. Now when I do that, those four documents are listed under "Windows", but none and nothing is visible until I select "Full Screen" view. I can then toggle back, exit full screen and it is fine.  But it seems that entering full screen view is the only way to get anything to be visible.  All of my other apps work normally: Safari, Messages, Mail, Numbers, iTune, Photos, etc.......
    BUT NOT PAGES.

How many displays do you have?

  • For no apparent reason I can no longer get my email icon to work.  All I get is a completely blank screen.

For no apparent reason I can no longer receive or send emails.  In fact when I touch the email icon all I get is a blank screen.  I have checked my email settings all seems fine.  Regards Kim

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • ITunes preferences opens with blank screen, HELP!

Alright so I was getting bored of the Windows Media Player interface, so I decided to go back to iTunes.
The installation went fine, but when I wanted to change my options/Preferences, it comes up with this weird blank screen.

I've searched on google and only found 1 thread about this with no answers. So I decided to come and ask here.
So I would REALLY appreciate some help because I've always liked iTunes better than WMP.

What version of iTunes do you have installed? Do you have any iTunes plugins?

  • FlashPlayer 9.0 r 115 executable file don't work, opens a blank screen

    Hi,
I'm publishing my projector from flash cs3 (embed flashplayer 9.0 r115).I burnt my cd-rom but it doesn't work.
It opens a blank window, in Windows 7 and Vista.
Not always, I mean ... It works in most of computers I try to execute, but I get this problem in a few cases.
I can't get the solution, please anyone can help me?...
It is a fullscreen projector and uses actionscript 2.0.
    Thanks a lot

    Ok,
This is normally a setting in a modem or router about DOS or SPI protection.
Turn it Off if you have it.
Also Check Internet Sharing is Off.
Your log suggests that you are using a Airport Base Station of some sort (or one end is)
If it is your end you will not fond DOS or SPI there it will be the modem.

  • When I open up a 2nd tab from my gmail I get nothing but a blank screen & no search bar

When I open firefox I go into gmail right away or renew my session. When I go to open a 2nd tab to search for something on the interenet I get a blank white screen w/no search bar. I then tried going to the orange firefox dropdown box and click on find. This does no good either.

I would just like to add to this thread. I have tried everything and every way listed here and found my own solution, for those of you who were having the same issue as me.
    1. Type "'''about:config'''" in your search bar
    2. Click "'''I'll be careful, i promise'''"
    3. Type "'''newtab'''" in the search bar
    4. Find "'''avg.userPreferences.newtabDisabledByUser'''"
    5. Set value to '''true''' by either '''doube clicking''' or '''right click > toggle'''
This immediately deactivated the AVG new tab feature and reset my browser to it's default settings.
    Hope this helps!

  • Unit totally locked up.  now get startup sound and blank screen with red circle with line thru it.

My Macbook is about 4 years oId. I was doing an Excel spreadsheet(apple office suite), went for a short break, on first keystroke the unit totally locked up with the spinning beachball. My mouse could move that around but that was all it could do. After about 4 minutes, needed to force quit it by holding down start up button. let it sit for a couple of minutes and then tried to restart it. I now get the start up chime followed after a short spell with a grey screen with a red circle with a red line though it right in the middle of the screen. tried about 3 more times with the same result. I hope it isn't dead because my project was about 95% complete and just about ready to print.
Any ideas how to revive the ol' girl?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately more serious then that. took unit to the apple repair techies and needed to replace hard drive. It had a total catastrophic failure and none of the info was recoverable That is a bummer as my last project was quite time consuming and almost complete. Good news I guess is I now have a much larger hard drive memory. Also had them put in much more RAM so now she is purring like a kitten again and a lot faster. Hopefully it will be a while before the swirling beachball of death appears. Thanks again for trying to help.
