GetAndPublish web service failed due to an internal error

Hello all,
Been a little while, To start off we have no IP phones connected to Lync. We have a completely separate PBX and VoIP system.
We have one FE server internally used to have internal users use Lync 2013 as a IM interface and Video conference. All users are running Lync 2013 with all the latest updates. Our Lync 2013 FE server is running on Windows 2008 R2 with all the latest updates.
v I noticed in our event log the follow error v
GetAndPublish web service failed due to an internal error. Request Details - Entity: [[email protected]], Device Id: [9A1A1E15-865F-5376-88CD-4384205012F9], Authenticated User: [sip:[email protected]]. Additional Context: [CA_Failure: InternalError] Cause:
This is an unexpected failure Resolution: Re-start the web server. If you see this error continuously, examine the server traces and contact product support.
I have googled and only came across technet forums that state checking certificate related issues.. or based around the IP Phones not authenticating. such as
here, however this guy noted a certain algorithm required by the CA to work properly "RSASSA-PSS algorythm instead of RSAsha1". Now I'm not exactly sure how to check up on this, and I also don't get why everything seems to work fine but I keep
getting these events populating.
I also ran "Test-csclientauth" cmdlet on our FE server and came up with a failure much like on the link I provided above.
Am I to assume these events are being populated because my Lync deployment was set up to use certs techincally not supported by Lync?

Hey Eason,
As I had previously mentioned, I have checked the FE server certs and have mentioned the signing algorithm it used to sign the certs, which was sha1DSA and not sha1RSA, I even checked my CA list of issued certs and have found all certs are signed the same.
Signature algorithm: sha1DSA
Signature Hash Algorithm: sha1
Public Key:  RSA (1024 bit)
I could run request and reinstall all day long it will still get the same certs signed with the algo..
Doing some research I attempted to see if I could change the signing cert for a specific cert template that was being used to issue the Lync FE certs... however seems that from according to
this, that I'd have to completely rebuild my CA before I'd be able to request and issue a cert with the proper signing algorithm?!
This
says its possible but not supported, what do I do in this situation? Is my only option to rebuild teh entire CA and cert infrastructure?
I noticed my CSP is set to Microsoft Base DSS Cryptographic Provider, and under the CSP folder there is no "CNGHashAlgorithm" key so I'm using a "Next Gen CSP" apparently? Is this CSP good enough to support Lync...Straight up where is
the Lync documentation on the CA setup requirements??
This google link doesn't tell you how you should setup a CA for Lync, what settings need to set etc..

  • Weblogic invoking web service failed due to socket timeout

    Hi,
    I encountered an error when I invoke web service from OBIEE 11g. The web serivce resides on Websphere running on other machine.
    An error says that "Invoking web service failed due to socket timeout." and it seems that it stopped in just 40 secs.
    Is there any settings of WebLogic server to avoid this? This web service normally runs for more than 60 sec.
    I have checked several parameters by WebLogic admin console and changed those values, but I still receive same errors.

    Hi,
    I do not manage to generate my JAXWS web services
    using jwsc ant task. It worked when my web services
    were JAX-RPC web services but now I have an error.
    In my build process, I generate first the web service
    artifacts from wsdl files using wsdlc :
    <path id="bea-ant-task.classpath">
    <pathelement location="${java.home}/../lib/tools.jar" />
    <fileset dir="${bea.home.dir}/wlserver_10.0/server/lib"/>
    <fileset dir="${bea.home.dir}/modules"/>
    </path>
    <taskdef name="wsdlc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.WsdlcTask">
    <classpath refid="bea-ant-task.classpath" />
    </taskdef>
    <target name="generate-artifacts">
    <wsdlc type="JAXWS" srcWsdl="${build.wsdl.dir}/AlarmWS.wsdl" destJwsDir="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}" />
    <wsdlc type="JAXWS" srcWsdl="${build.wsdl.dir}/AlertWS.wsdl" destJwsDir="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}" />
    </target>Then I tried to generate my web services with jwsc :
    <taskdef name="jwsc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.JwscTask">
    <classpath refid="bea-ant-task.classpath" />
    </taskdef>
    <target name="generate-webservices">
    <jwsc srcdir="src" destdir="${ear.dir}" keepGenerated="yes" classpathref="compile.classpath" >
    <module contextpath="myappli" name="webservices.jar" explode="true">
    <jws type="JAXWS" file="${myappli.path}/alarm/jwsendpoint/AlarmBean.java" compiledWsdl="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}/AlarmWS_wsdl.jar"/>
    <jws type="JAXWS" file="${myappli.path}/alert/jwsendpoint/AlertBean.java" compiledWsdl="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}/AlertWS_wsdl.jar"/>
    </module>
    </jwsc>
    </target>This task generate the following error :

    Hi Mohan,
    I didn't use Fiddler before, I just download and use it but how to see the request message from this software?
    I have logged the request to event log before send to web service and copy this request from event log to testing with soapUI, so I don't think have between the actual messages being sent to your client via orchestration and soapui. In the log Response shape
    I see the fault response in event log.
    You can see
    this link to know how to use fiddler. As I suggested above the error you need to check is at the server side who is hosting the service( your party ) because you are getting fault response properly from them. The webservice you are calling seems to look
    like WCF service too. Your life would have been so easier if you could ask them to have firewall open from your dev box to their dev server so that you can use use "Add Service Reference" wizard, that even they have .NET wcf service too.
    Did you by any chance manage to talk to them what they are getting or if they can increase the exception details in the fault message for you?
    If this answers your question please mark it as Answer and if this post is helpful, please vote as helpful. Thanks !

  • Logon failure due to an internal error

    Hi,
    We have installed XI 3.1 SP3 (plus fixpacks) on a server and I am trying to access Web Intelligence on the client machine. I get the error "Logon failure due to an internal error." Any ideas what the problem may be?
    I can login into Web Intelligence when on the server directly using remote desktop. I am on SP3 on the client machine but may not be on the same level for fixpacks - will check. Could that be the problem?
    I can access the CMC from the client machine.
    Thanks

    Hi All,
      I'll start by describing the basic logon connections made by all the client tools when connecting to a Business Objects CMS.  From this hopefully it will help resolve the kind of issues described here.
    ------------------Background------------------
      The CMS has a port number (6400).  This port number is actually the port number of the name server.  This name server stores the name, type of server, hostname and port for all the BusinessObjects servers that exist in the cluster.  Whenever a program (such as a client tool) needs to know how to connect to a particular server, the name server will reply with the hostname (or IP) and port number to connect to.  When each Business Objects server process starts it will register with the name server and tell it what its connection info (hostname and port) are.
      In the case of a client logon it will first connect to the name server and then request the information to connect to the CMS service - (note that the name server and the CMS service are two logicial and seperate functions that the CMS process performs).  The CMS service actually runs on the request port of the CMS.
    ------------------Cause of Logon Failures------------------
      If you have no explicitly configured it, the hostname returned for connection could be the fully qualified name OR the short hostname of the machine and the port number will be random (and change each time the process is started).  The client ALSO needs to be able to connect to the hostname and port returned by the name server to continue processing.  If it can't then you will receive a logon error - in designer/desktop intelligence this will appear as a 'Transport Communication Error' in the deatils of the error message.
    ------------------Example------------------
      You initially connect to boeserver.mycomp.com:6400.  boeserver.mycomp.com is a DNS name that the client computer can resolve and the port 6400 is open through the firewall.  The client connects to the name server (within the CMS process) and requests the connection information for the CMS services but these have not been explicitly set in the CMC->Server->CMS->Properties page.
      The response from the nameserver might be to connect to the short name of the host: boeserver on port 54393 (or some other random port number).  You will get a logon error if EITHER the hostname boeserver cannot be resolved (which can be quite common when the boeserver machine is in a different subnet) OR there is a firewall blocking the connection port (54393 in this case).
    ------------------Resolution------------------
    Go to the CMC->Server->CMS->Properties page.  Here there is a section where you can specify the hostname with with each business objects server will give as the hostname (or IP address) and port (request port) that it can be contacted on. In the example below I have said that it should be contacted on the fullyqualified name and on port 6401.  Again 6401 would need to be open through the firewall.
    No two servers can have the same request port.  As you can see in the screenshot I have specified to connect to the CMS service on 6401 using the fullyqualified hostname boeserver.mycomp.com and finally that the name server port is the default 6400.
    As mentioned previously there may be also other BOE servers that similar settings are required for, depending on the actions you are performing - e.g. IDT and designer need access to the input file repository server to input/export universes, WebiRich Client also should have access to the Output File Repository Server.  Client tools should also have access to the Adaptive Processing Server that is running the Client Auditing Proxy Service so that any actions are audited.
    One extra thing that can cause a block on the port number, other than a regular corporate firewall is the security on the server machine itself (e.g. the Windows firewall on the server can block incoming requests if there is not an expection created.
    Regards,
    Graham

  • Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).

    Windows 7 users in my domain are unable to configure or change backup settings.  Users are able to open Control Panel > Backup and Restore, but when they click
    Change settings, they receive the error: Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).
    The same error is received when executing sdclt.exe /configure at the command prompt, regardless of whether the command prompt is launched using "run as administrator".
    I've done significant testing, and have been able to determine that the local administrator account is able to configure backups before the computer is joined to the domain.  Once the computer is joined to the domain, the local administrator account
    and domain users who are in the local administrators group are no longer able to configure backup and restore.  Domain administrators are able to configure backups.
    This is a new issue, which began occuring sometime in the last 2 months.  3 months ago, users were able to configure backups without issue, and those computers with backups configured are still able to run their backups and do restores; however the
    settings can no longer be changed.
    Clearly something in the domain is doing this, but Group Policy has not been altered, and I can find no setting that would be doing this in any case.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,
    So you mean you have tried different accounts in the local Administrator group and all of them failed?
    If so, please check what group the local Administrator group belongs to? Does it belong to a group with limited privileges, such as the Guests group?

  • Getting error The user could not be registered at this time due to an internal error in R11

    We created new Organization (that had alpha numeric value e.g.  7777A) using Customer Online to be used in iStore i11 version.
    The user account and password was also created for the organization.  When we tried to login to istore the first time the registration screen (jtftmplh.jsp) was displayed.  After filling the needed information and submitting we get the error:
    "The user could not be registered at this time due to an internal error Please contact the system administrator if this problem persists.
    Note to System Administrators: View source for more information about this error."
    But if we created new Organization with numbers only  e.g. 7777  we don't have the issue. Yet we already have large number of organization with alpha numeric and they work fine. (believe they were pragmatically loaded).
    The profiles "HZ: Generate Party Number" and "HZ: Generate Party Site Number" are set to Yes.

    The error message is not helpful and not clear of the error. How can we register users with alpha-numeric value (if that is the issue?).
    Thanks for your assistance.

    Been like this for a couple of days.  Is this something that happens from time to time?

    I think the "," that comes in the flat file. CHange the number fields in the file from ",". If it has 1000 separator remove them. You need not have them in the file. In your case i think the decimals are coming as ",". In that case change your user settings for decimal places and then try to load.

  • Error 244: The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.

    I have LabVIEW 2010 and, during Windows start-up, this error message pops up:
    "The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.
    (244): Please wait till the National Instruments PSP Service is running and try starting the DataFinder again or reboot your computer."
    I have had this error message pop up for the past year so it is a recurring thing. It started showing up a few months after I had installed the LabVIEW program onto my computer, so I am not sure on what caused this message to consistently pop up. I find that it also causes a delay in the starting up of my computer--my other start-up applications will begin to show only when I close the error window. Please help! Thank you.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi xcontradictorx,
    It sounds like the National Instruments PSP Server Locator might not be started. Could you go to Control Panel >> Administrator Tools >> Services and locate the National Instruments PSP Server Locator? Double-click on it and make sure that the service is started. If it is, stop it and start it again (just by hitting the stop and start buttons). If it is not, start it, then go to the Recovery Tab and choose Restart the Service as the action for First, Second, and Subsequent failures.
    If after change the settings for the PSP service the issue continues I would think that for some reason the PSP service is just being started late for some reason. Could you do a test real quick: disable the DataFinder in msconfig, reboot, then run the DataFinder.exe from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\DataFinderDesktop\bin. This should place the MyDataFinder app in your system tray (it looks like a yellow gear).
    If this is successful, then we will need to change the order of startup services such that the DataFinder just starts after the PSP service.
    Try the following:
    1) Locate the DataFinder entry from the registry. Located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    2) Delete the DataFinder entry
    3) Add a shortcut of DataFinder.exe to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
    4) Reboot
    This should do all the standard Windows Startup (like starting services, etc.) and then launch the DataFinder.
    One question: do you use the DataFinder at all? Either with DIAdem or the Data Finder toolkit? If not, you could try removing it from the Startup items. Just go to Start >> Run... and type "msconfig". Choose the Startup tab, locate DataFinder, and deselect it. Click apply. This will probably get rid of the error message.

  • Error: The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error

    Hello,
    I get the same error message every time I reboot my Win 7 PC:
    "National Instruments DataFinder"
    "The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error."
    "Please wait till the National Instruments DataFinder Index Service is running and try starting the DataFinder again, or reboot your computer. "
    I tried finding a DataFinder Index Service in the Control Panel --> Admin,istrative Tools --> Services, as mentioned in this post http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Error-244-The-DataFinder-cannot-start-due-to-an-internal-error/td-p/...,
    but there was none such listed service:
    I cannot find any mention of a DataFinder or a DataFinder Index Service anywhere else on my PC. Can you please help to find out where this error is coming from and how to fix it? As far as I am aware, I do not use this DataFinder. Thanks!
    Regards,
    Brandon

    Hello BrandonVonk,
    The toolkit wouldn't show up in your installed programs list as it is more like a plugin to LabVIEW. Instead, pull up NI License Manager and go to Local Licenses > LabVIEW XXXX > Toolkits and see if it is listed amongst the toolkits you have installed. There should be a geen box next to it to indicate that it has been installed and activated.
    Hope this helps,

  • Datafinder can't start due to an internal error.

    After installing LabVIEW 2009SP1 and DIAdem, I get the following popup every time I restart the computer:
    "The datafinder can't start due to an internal error. (244) Please wait until the National Instruments PSP Service is running and try starting Datafinder again."
    I'm not very familiar with the NI PSP Service or how to get it running. I tried to repair the LabVIEW installation but no luck.
    Has anyone seen this before?

    Hi West,
    It's probably a corrupted install of the distributed systems manager. You can uninstall it and reinstall it by downloading it here (http://www.ni.com/download/ni-distributed-system-manager-2013/4216/en/).

  • Fiori leave request error "Could not start the app due to an internal error"

    Hi,
    I'm getting this error "Could not start the app due to an internal error" when accessing leave request application.
    I don't get this error when I login and launch the app for the first time. when I go back to the home screen and select "My Leave Requests" app again, I get this error.
    If I close the error message and do a browser refresh, everything is fine again for the first time, if I access the LR app again- same error .
    Other apps are working fine.
    I don't see any error in gateway or App logs.
