GetLabel() doesnt work JSF 1.2 RI it returns ""

Question

im creating a Custom Validator method and want to insert the Label of the HtmlInputText into the error message.
The problem is that
public void validateCyrilicType(FacesContext facesContext, UIComponent uiComponent, Object value)
          HtmlInputText text=(HtmlInputText)uiComponent;
//      text.getLabel(); is aways "" is this a bug im using JSF 1.2 RI . why getLabel is not working ?
i have a label attribute in the JSF tag in the page.

I see. Here is the code from Sun RI 1.2_04 that gets the label (from MessageFactory.java):

    }Given this, it appears that one of the following scenarios is occurring. First, before the getLabel() method is invoked, the bundle is loaded into the namespace. Another possibility is that the value expression is returned and whatever consumes the message at a later time does the evaluation. A little further investigation reveals it is the latter. They use a special subclass of FacesMessage, BindingFacesMessage which resolves the ValueExpression. So in this way they delay the evaluation of the label until the bundle has been loaded.
