Gettin Error While activating Device Mapping Rule

Hi all,
I am getting below error while generating Device attribute mapping Rule :
Err:Metainfo FM MMW_DM_DSMS_METH_META - Class Name not specified
Any idea how to resolve this problem.

Hi Abhishek,
Custom attributes will not be reflected under category list.
It can be viewed by clicking 'customize' button only in sdoe_rmm01.Do not add custom attributes part of category.
If you have clicked 'Admin UI display' while creating it will get reflected in the admin portal under single valued or multi valued attributes tabs .This way it allowes you to assign custom atrribute values to devices from admin portal.
By the way when you created the other attributes.in category .how did you manage to give proper data types ?
When you say , backward compatible, are you planning to migrate the SyncBOs defined in MI to the current DOE?If yes , this is all that you need to do.

Error while activating message mapping

Hi,
We are trying to activate message mappings and getting error as CHECK_EXCEPTION and in error details its showing that usr/sap/server.........................../classpath_resolver/Map.......................no such file or directory.........
What can be the issue?We can activate all other objects(DT,MT,IM,etc)

Conversion exit error while activating the transfer rules

Hello gurus,
We are doing a function module extraction with 3.X data sources.
On activating the transfer rules , i am getting a conversion exit error for "0fiscyear", but in the infoobject we don't have the conversion exit for it.

1. Please check in the transformation, its necessary to provide the fiscal variant mapping as well when ur mapping fiscal year object. as on the basis of that value fiscal period will be derived.
2 I guess ur doing direct mapping (Time conversion) and there is no routine written for that. if any u can check that as well for any error.

Run time error while activating the Transfer Rules

Hi,
Error when activating Transfer rules for Infosource :
0FI_GL_1 -
(General ledger: Transaction figures)
Run time error : ASSERTION FAILED
Transfer rules traffic light is in Green. But when i am trying to activate the Transfer rules, its giving Run time error.

Hi,
As mentioned in the note 939383 , either Import Support Package 08 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch08 or SAPKW70008) into your BI system or do correction instructions given in the note.
It is always better to import the latest patches avialble in service market to avoid this type of problems.
Also see tha note 1010672 amd check whether it is applicable to your problem.

Error while activating the update rules related to Inventory

Hi,
In standard Cube 0ic_c03, I am including a field 0MAT_DOC that is available in the transfer rules of 2lis_03_bx. And when I include that info object in the cube my update rules are getting deactivated.
When I try to activate the update rules, I am getting the following error message:
1. InfoSource 2LIS_03_BX is only set up for the initial run for non-cumulatives.
2. IC=0IC_C03 IS=2LIS_03_BX error when checking the update rules.
Requesting you to please guide me on how do I go about solving this issue.

For implementation of inventory in the BW side, first you need to carry out following steps sequentially:
1. MCNB: Filling set up tables for initial entry of stock balances from 2lis_03_BX
2. OLI1BW:Filling set up tables for stock movements from 2lis_03_BF.
3. OLIZBW:Filling set up tables for inventory revaluations from 2lis_03_UM
Check the Business content cube 0IC_C03.
Also check the document how to inventory management.
For report install the business content report for the cube 0IC_C03 and check it.

The problem is with your data source replication.
Activate your data source & replication too.
Activate your transfer atructure through RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL .
If not so, Activate your transfer rule manually.

Usually this occurs when even the SOURCE SYSTEM is not configured properly. Recently I had the same issue. If the source system is newly configured, meaning other tran structures / rules are working fine then don't go over this process.
1. Drop the Source System
2. Re-Create the Source System.
3. For other than PC Files, "Replicate the DataSources" in the Source System.
4. Try mapping the transfer rules / structure and activate it.
Also check the SAP Note no :147195

ABAP Runtime error while activating Update rules.

Hi Gurus,
Actually we are in NW 2004's SP9.
While activating the update rules of cube "0PY_PPC01" it is going to ABAP runtime error. It is giving the key words like "MESSAGE_TYPE_X"
"%_T005K2" or "INSTANTIATE". And i apply NOTEs also i am unable to fix it.
Can any one give correct NOTE number that can fix it or any suggestions.

Error while activating update rule in Inventory

I was working with migration of datasource 2LIS_03_BF from 3.x to 7.0 in MM module.
Recieved an error while activating update rule 0RT_C17 2LIS_03_BF in Inventory module.
When I checked the routine ,it shows the following error.
Errror:E:The Dictionary structure or table "/BI0/PMAT_SALES" is either not active or does not exist.
I am not usre how to resolve this.
Kindly reply asap.

1. Activate the master data infoobject for 0MAT_SALES at info object level of RSA1
2. Replicate and Activate the data source once again by using the program > SE38 : RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
3. Then try to migrate you datasource and activate you update rules.

Error while Activating update rule in BW

Hi,
I am getting an ABAP dump while activating an update rule. The rule is from DSO to cube.
"MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
"%_T020N1" or "%_T020N1"
"INSTANTIATE"
I have added some new fields in a DSO. The rule is from DSO to cube. While activating it, I am getting this ABAP dump. There are few other rules from this DSO to other DSO which got activated but this one is causing dump.
Any ideas/suggestions on this would be really helpful.

Hi
Check if your Cube , DSO and UR's are active. If not reactivate them. Ideally you could recreate the UR's and check the status by running the extraction.
I would also recommend to use elimination method to check if any particular field is creating an issue. While recreating the UR's , create them for a few fields - active - check extraction - this will also let you know if the issue is within any oif the rules.

Error while activating Transformations

Hi gurus,
Iam facing a problem while activating Transformations.
Its a flat filre loading consisting of 4 objects , 3 are standard and one is customised key figure ZPLN_VAL Data type is Amount, currency is fixed INR.
But iam getting following errors while activating transformations.
1,RULE(target ZPLN_VAL, Group;01 standard group); Conversion type missing.
2.RULE7 (Target field:ZPLN_VAL) Field planned value must be assigned to an Infoobject.
3.RULE(TARGET FIELD ZPLN_VAL) NO SOURCE UNIT ASSIGNED.

Failure while activating the transfer rules

While activating the transfer rules, in that process when the system is trying to activating the transfer structure an error is occuring.
Following is the error log.

Every time when I try to activate the transfer rules, it generates a new table "/BIC/B000xxxxxxx".
Let me know if any more details required.
Though there is a SAP Notes(513758) with Symptom which is same as our problem, its of not much use. It only says search for other SAP Notes with KeyWords from error log. We couldn't find a relavant SAP Notes sofar.
Please guide us in resolving the issue.

Hi Aswani,
To further prevent this from occuring, you should assign a BASIS person to monitor the BW system using tcode DB02 and watch out for critical objects prior loading process. That way, this error could have been prevented.
You can also device a way to predict which table spaces are needed to adjusted on a scheduled basis based on your actual data growth.

while I am Extrating Data From Flat File I encountered this Error.
I am working on ECC 6.0 , BI 7.0.
I am trying this one in IDES, it is newly installed server.
For Flat File Extraction I follwed the Steps
1) I created Data source -
let us assume I have created a Flat File with 3 fields
SNO SNAME MARKS
File is located in workstation
Data source created successfull , I have checked in preview.
2) I have created 2 key Figures, 1 characteristic
3) I have created Infocube
here I have some doubt
while I am creating Infocube, the look and Feel is very different to 3.XX
when i try to create in 3.XX , we can see the Tabs for Kef figs,chars,Time chars and we assign chars to Dimenstions.
when i am creating Infocube in BI 7.0 , I don't Find such a Tabs and how I am assign the chars to Dimension
I created Like this
select
Info Area -
> create Info cube -
given name of the cube and create (F5).
the Info cube window displayed on the Right side
Then I did like this
select
key Figures -
> Info object Direct Input
Then I inserted my two key figures SNO,MARKS
--- continue (F5)
Dimension 1 -
> Info object Direct Input
I inserted the 1 char SNAME
--- continue (F5)
Then I saved the Info cube
Info cube saved successfull and activated successfull
Is it Right way For create InfoCube ?
4) I created Transfomation for the Data source
Data source -
> create Transfomation
I have given
Object Type : InfoCube
Name :YSTU - i selected which I already created.
It automaticall taken these parameters
Obejct Type : DataSource
Data source : YSTU
source system :PC_FILE
create Transformation (Enter)
I got the Error
Cannot generate proposal
Message no. RSTRAN017
Then I try to activate, I got the Error.
Error while activating transformation
Message no. RSTRAN510
Before I post this , I had searched in Previous SDN post for this Error , But I can't understand the solution.
I have lot of doubts like Basis Guy need to install any Patch or
I did mistake any where.
Help me to Find the solution...

Object Type : Info cube
Name : YSTU (This is my Cube Name)

Object Type : Data source (It automatically Taken)
Data source : This is Disabled
Source system: This is Disabled

I got the message ?
Specify Name of source

Error while activating transformation

Hi Experts,
I need to activate a transformation between a cube and DSO.
But I am getting an error message while activating the Transformation the messages are as followed.
1. Error when writing routines
   Message Number. RSAA561
2. Error while activating transformation
    Message Number. RSTRAN510
3. Error activating transformation.
   Message number. RSO404
I have checked the transformation and each field is mapped to correct field and there are no routines its just 1:1 mapping can any body tell how to check the error on basis of Message Number as there is no other information available when we are displaying the error.

Might be a problem with the time conversion routines. delete the transformationa nd try again.
