Getting 160 ppi images onto iPhone

the iPhone native resolution is 160 ppi. So I made a photoshop document of 320x480 at 160 ppi, thinking it would be easy to get on the iPhone.
You cannot (it seems) save an image at that resolution as a JPG in photoshop CS3. (correct me if I'm wrong.) So I saved as TIF, which imports into iPhoto but will not sync to iPhone.
How do I do this properly?

You should be able to. I do 300 ppi for print related materials in PS all the time and I have CS2. Just set the a new document resolution at 160. Normal web is 72. Print related materials are normally done at 300 dpi.

When you start a new blog entry page, the stock photo that you see is actually a special placeholder box for images. This placeholder box is linked to your main blog summary page and is responsible for making the preview image on the blog summary page. To replace the stock photo, you need to drop your own image into the placeholder image box and it will automatically replace the stock image. What you don't want to do is to delete the placeholder box by deleting the stock image. You have to replace the stock image by dropping a new image in.
If you have deleted the placeholder image box, the only way to get it back is to start over on a new blog entry page. This will also ensure that your preview image makes it to the main blog summary pages as well as your RSS feed.

Cannot get Music or Video onto iPhone 5

I have a new Iphone 5 - 16gb,
I cannot download any of my purchased music or new purchase from the store - it runs through the download, gets to processing then fails with a "item cannot be downloaded at this time - Done or Retry"
I cannot sync any music from my PC (Sony Vaio). It appears to run through the process, but nothing transfers - under music on the iPhone the selection appears greyed out in iTunes, but cannot be seen from the device.
Match is not enabled. Auto Update is not enabled
It does actually sync photos.
My iPod Classic and Ipad (new one with lightening) work abosulutly fine.
So far I have:
Re-installed iTunes
Reset and restored iPhone
Changed from Manual to Automatic Sync
Changed endless spurous settings that have been suggested on various forums
After 5 hours of trying I am on the verge of giving up and returning to Android as the iPhone isn't fit for purpose.
If anyone has any ideas that will help I would be incredibly grateful as I really don't want to revert to my old phone.

Update
I reset the iPhone and set it up as a new phone (not using a previous backup). This seems to have fixed the problem with downloading purchases. I tried this with a purchase from yesterday and will try a couple of others.
I will try it with iTunes shortly and see if this has fixed this problem as well.
I am wondering if the problem stems from using a backup file originally created on my iPad to initially set up the phone.

How to get deleted app back onto iPhone

I have a purchased app that installed on my iPhone. I then deleted the app from my iPhone. I'd like the app to install back onto my phone. However, when I sync, the app never installs. Is there something else I need to do?

Go back to what Chris CA said a few posts above. With the iPhone synced to iTunes, select the iPhone along the LH side on the iTunes window. Once selected you'll see it's context screens in the main window. One of the tabs is labeled "Applications". Go to that tab and check to see if the App you're missing is "check marked" to sync.

Ok, now I have another question. How do I get the document off icloud and bring it to my iPhone? When I go to the icloud website it gives me three options. Set up icloud on this device (done) and to set up other icloud stuff that I already have done. How do I get the doc from icloud to my iPhone?

Cannot get album to transfer onto iPhone

I have automatic synching set up in iTunes for my entire music library.
There are two new albums I have added to iTunes and I can see them sitting in my music library and I can play them through iTunes. However every time I sync my iphone and iTunes they show no sign of transferring. I have 4GB of space for them both, more than sufficient. iTunes never gives me an error message or any sign they didnt transfer. But every time I check my phone and look them up, be it under Artist or Album name, they are not there and havet transferred.
I have the latest version of iTunes and the latest iPhone software for my 4S. I'm running Windows 7.

I have also noticed that whilst in iTunes it is removing the album I tell it too to clear space for new ones- it is not removing these from my iPhone. So iTunes tells me it has 4gb of space but all the albums I removed are not removing themselves off my iPhone.

Getting video onto iPhone

Task: get .mov &c video onto iPhone.
So far I have managed to DL a file converter that has made a (really lo res) mp4 file out of a mov file, which is now in a playlist on iTunes. When I synch the phone, the file doesn't show up. How do I get it to be recognised by the iPhone?
Searched for an answer and read the cryptic msg that Apple want you to have different file sizes?!

Hi there, Try this. In iTunes go to "Video" tab in the iPhone summary. Click on "Sync" and "all TV shows" and finally try to sync again your iPhone. It should be there now. I hope.

Press your home button, then scroll the home screen all the way over to the right. I found all my purchased apps were moved to a different home screen. Might be a similar issue.. let us know what you found out!!

Movies won't load onto iPhone 4S

I have a couple of slideshows I made on iMovie years ago that played fine on iPhone 4. Now I cant get them to sync onto iPhone 4S. What am I doing wrong.

What you need to do is download a movie file converter to convert your movies to mp4 which is the ipod format. I use one called "ipodvideoconverter" just google it and you'll find one that works. Just a heads up though... it usually takes 3-5 hours to convert a 2 hour movie.

I appreciate your response. I have done all of the things mentioned, but still when I click on "devices", the "transfer music" option is still not selectable. I see it, but can't select it. I am running Windows 7 on my PC.
However, one thing I read makes me take pause. At one point I did erase my computer back to factory settings using the mirrored image. We backed up all information and put the important stuff back on, but I don't believe we did anything with iTunes, so it's a possibility that the music that is in my library now, may only be music I have purchased since then. But, (thinking out loud) that was a while ago and I am pretty sure I have purchased more music than what is in my iTunes library, since then. Maybe I will approach it from that angle and see what happens.
It just doesn't make any logical sense that syncing goes from computer to device. Ostensibly then, my iPhone would only have the music that is on my computer after syncing and that is not the case. I still have all my music on my phone. I can see the new music that's on my phone get added to my iTunes library when I connect, which would make one think that syncing occurs both ways. I don't know. It's maddening. Maybe I should just follow my husbands advice and go to an Android. LOL. Or maybe I will take my laptop and phone to the Apple store and make them figure it out. Ha.

yeah, in itunes if you select your phone, you should get tabs across the top for what to sync, under photos uncheck the box

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The iphone is not a backup/storage device.

When I go into the sync options it say I have another user account and asks me if I want to merge of replace. I'm assuming it's trying to tell me I have an older iTunes Library, but don't know that. Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.
