Getting 600EX-RT slave to fire only via Pop-up Flash
I have a 600EX-RT set up as slave and contolled by 60D using pop-up flash. I have the 60D settings set for the slave to fire only as per pages 140-141 of the 60D manual. However, in this setting the pop-up flash will still fire. At the end of page 141, it says "Even if you disable the built-in flash from firing, it will still fire to control the slave unit". Is there no way to disable the pop-up from flashing? Otherwise you never really get single off camera flash. Thanks.

Not if you want to trigger an off camera slave because it uses the pop-up flash as the means of triggering the slave.
Yes you do get single off camera flash because even though the pop-up flashes, it is only a pre-flash to trigger the slave. In this configuration the pop-up does not contribute to the actual exposure, this all happens before the shutter opens.

That is the orientation lock indicator. It means that you phone will not go into landscape mode when tilted on it's side.
To turn orientation lock off double tap the home button, to access the multitasking menu, then swipe your finger to the right over the multitasking bar at the bottom and touch the big button on the left with the padlock. -

hi friends
mostly I use my computer with my premiere elements 13 offline.
but when I try to make exports for the internet on this maschine,( my private website where I will show my hollidayvideos) I cant do th exports/publishings cause premiere
needs to go online. did I make mistakes while installing it? why cant export/publish -for example flash- in offline mode?
my idea was to take the footage from the camera, edit it, export it to my harddisk, and when I am back home, than I will load it up the my website. seems to be a nogo?
hope that there is a solution. if it is a feature, that premiere elements doesnt have all options and can only do the job when online with ADOBE, then I realy have a problem.
but I cant beleive that, ADOBE must tell this prior to sell to the customer if the product doesnt work in offline mode with all features.

today I will check the free flash konverter, but this file needs AVI!my weekend will become exciting....I am downloading some more free stuff.
and next time when I go to holliday maybe I take another option with my camera.I was so proud that this little thing does that realy good looking fullHDs, so I filmed the two months in Portuagal in this format.
and -by the way- the Toshiba TV of my doughter also doesnt play the clips from the cam!!

and it realy lookes great 1920x1080 60p!
the sound from the cam is unusable, on the Algarve Cliffs there was a strong wind - I do the sound on my computer, ..

I see the menue-point to publish to an private website. I thought this would give me a file which I can upload with my upüload-tool for my website later and first check it offline.
but I cant export/publish or whatever, cause the prog always wants to connect to ADOBE.and -sometimes I am in my mobilhome or at home and there it collides with my firewall.it doesnt connect to youtube, ist ADOBE - I can see this!
I have lost the game, yes I was missinterpreting but now I am much more clever..;-)
so I must realy look for another software?
and: if a company says that their software supports AC3 - I must be aware and ask what they meanandif they say that they will support YOUTUBE publishing, than this might be that first ADOBE wants to see the clip.otherwise I dont unerstand why the connection doesnt direct to YOUTUBE but to ADOBE!
what ever I try the connection is always to ADOBE, everytime! (tried several times..and I can watch what the program does!) this is NOT a first time activation, looks like that they want give away the codec.
for 5.1 (AAC) your first help was sufficient, I could made the mp4 with a 6-channel AAC, but cant mix the channels in PREMIERE.
and I make the sound in channelorder for AC3 5.1, the channel with AAC are in different order as you know.so I cant use it....
its stripping down my too high expectations, PREMIERE Elements is just for cutting off the unwanted parts of a clip or doing some transitions or assemble some takes together - thats all.
this weekend I start testing VirtualDub and the other freeware programs. and I will write to see how VEGAS works.VirtualDub does cooperate with AFTEN - my AC3 encoder, anyway I am very sceptical, and there should be a programm called DIRECTOR anything, I have to search for this..they say it supports AC3 (hahaha) and exports for internet use...(LOL)

why my Iphone 5 goes into search for days and the only way to get it working is to reset it via itunes. i am on EE network

I'm sorry, I missed the calendar part the first time I looked. For calendar, you need a supported application on the computer (Outlook) or if you use iCloud, you can use the iCloud contacts and calendar app to sync. -

table trough a form. Also when the uses go into the oracle apps
and create a new customer they get an error saying
ora-01403 no data found
ora-06512 at'the trigger name' and gives line number
ora-04088 error during execution of trigger.
Note: and I looked trigger it's really ok.

How do I update my status only via iOS for Facebook on iPhone 5?
I have iPhone 5s. I have account info to my Facebook app. I know I can update my status "via iOS" with a picture.
My question is:
How can I update my status ONLY "via iOS" without having to upload a picture.
When I had my iPhone 4s I used to do it sliding down my notification bar up top. Is there a a way to get that feature again? Or is there specific steps I have to do to get that feature again?When I'm on my own page there is a selection to Write Post near the top. When I'm on my newsfeed there is an Update Status section in the upper left corner.

Change application to RUN ONLY via API?
Is it possible to set an application to be RUN ONLY via the API instead of accessing the Workspace manager? We have an environment that discourages access to the workspace manager in production and try to do as much as possible via SQL Plus..
Right now when we migrate an application to production, we get a copy of the application from version control, modify the app to a RUN ONLY version and then pass it over to our DBA to load into production. We would prefer to made the RUN ONLY change when the app is loaded into production via SQL Plus and the APEX API...
Any suggestions?

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I was in the middle of installing the new update using the wifi at a local restaurant when I lost the wifi signal and my iPhone shut down, and now I can't get into the phone. I only get the iTunes logo with the cable pic. What are my options now?
Your only option is to connect your iPhone to your computer via USB (as the diagram indicates) and restore using iTunes.

I have reset my iPod because it had been locked out and I couldn't get back in, but it will only reset once it connects to a WiFi source. I cannot get onto my iPod to connect it to a WiFi source. How am I meant to reset/erase it?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Every time I open Mail on my Macbook Pro, which is only a couple of weeks old, it fails to open, the windows stay blank and I get the beach ball. The only way I can get it to close is to force it using the command alt esc buttons. Any ideas?

Safari and firefox stop working after a few minutes of browsing, regardless of what site I'm on. I have to restart my computer to get internet access again but it only works for a few more minutes, then I have to restart again. I don't get a spinning ball, it just stops working at whatever page it's on. I can close the program just fine but when I re-open it, either safari or firefox, it freezes trying to load the hompage. This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.
If your machine performs flawlessly, it may be a router issue.
If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3." -
I can't connect to my school's free wifi. i was able to do it before but not anymore i get the self assign ip addrees message .it has no password only a pop up window before you connect to agree to school terms for wifi use. i don't get that window anymore. i tried everything I can think of. It is a 2010 macbook pro but i recentrly updated to osx lion and even with lion it was working fine so I nkow it is not the update. also Im able to connect to other internets at home it works great. starbucks too. but i became so frustated that i reset my computer to manufactuter setting and reinstall snow leopard on it. still I cant connect. I need help please i have been searching all over the web for help and i see people has been having this same problem for years now.. oh yeah and i know it is not the internet cuz there are other macs connecting to it without a single problem so i think it is an isolated problem plase help....i have follow many advises such as delete the internet from your prefered netwoks. restar your commputer etc etc.
Be sure Safari does not have the Block Pop-Up Windows preference set.
Where I work now there are several unencrypted VLANs that require authentication, and Safari promptly pops up a window for me to register every time. -
My husband and I have both downloaded the new IOS 8.2 and now he is getting my text messages that are only addressed to me. He has a 5 and I have a 6. It is like we are synced together. How can I fix that?
Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.
