Getting a BT homehub for parents - How?!

Hello all.
When I was still living with my parents, we set up a BT Broadband internet account on their phone line for my own usage. At that time wireless was unheard of, and my account used a third party router, and my friend had to get connection settings to make it all work.
When I left home, for reasons I simply cannot fathom, my father never did cancel that broadband account. They are still paying over £19 a month for a broadband setup they cannot use (I brought the router with me, not realising BT would supply me with a homehub) This shows up on their bill as a BT Broadband Option 1 account, but it never actually was! And they have never had a BT HomeHub.
My mum has got a laptop with wireless capability. She never really uses it, however I feel that if we could get them a homehub and get her connected to the internet, she would start to use it more often.
So what's the best option of getting them a homehub? I can access their account online through MyBT (I signed up for that when I lived there to monitor my internet usage. I can still access that online account), so if I went for "upgrade your broadband" and selected the BT Option 1, would they automatically receive a homehub? BT must surely know they don't have one.

you don't need to use a BT router and router for bt adsl will be ok - I use a netgear
