Getting a file name from a JMS message

Hello,
I am trying to unzip a jms message file, but in order to unzip it, I have to somehow have the file name in a java input stream. Since there is no message.getFileName method, I really don't know what to do.
I am trying to do this in the onMessage method in one an MDB and it is not possible for me to have the fileName sent in the JMS header. Please help!
Jeremy

I got the code I am using off the sun developer's website and it uses a File Input Stream/Zip Input Stream which you need the file name of the file you are unzipping in order to unzip it.
I guess what would be more helpful would be to know how exactly to unzip a .gz file within a JMS message. See, I am receiving a message to a queue, and upon getting this message I am to unzip the .gz file within the message and process it further through other workflows. One thing though, we are trying to do this without writing the file anywhere until we are completely done with the workflows, so this all needs to be done in the run time memory.
As an intern, I am not that savy with these things, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • B2B 11g - Managing File name from a JMS queue.

    Hi,
    I have configured a Listening Channel to use Generic File 1.0 (to poll a file from local dir) and send it to a Trading Partner. In B2B User Guide it has been said to have the file name as %TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%DOCTYPE_REVISION%_%MESSAGE_ID%_TIMESTAMP.txt. Extension can be anything (txt, dat, etc).
    It is necessary to have this format? What if I want to send a file with name say ABC.txt*.
    How will I manage this file name pattern if I have to read the file content from a JMS queue (and then send the file to the Trading Partner).
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Anuj,
    I set up AS2 in my local environment and tested it. I do not get the desired name of the file. The wire message seems to be ok. Following is the Tranport Header present in the wire message from the sender B2B server:
    Message-ID=<ID:<172014.1291742389684.0>@kg_certificate> Content-Transfer-Encoding=binary MIME-version=1.0 From=kg_certificate Disposition-Notification-To=[email protected] AS2-To=exel_certificate User-Agent=AS2 Server Date=Tue, 07 Dec 2010 17:19:50 GMT AS2-Version=1.1 AS2-From=kg_certificate Content-Disposition=attachment; filename=J7Q9A7.txt Content-Type=*application/octet-stream*
    Following is the Transport Header present in the wire message from the receiver B2B server:
    AS2-To=exel_certificate TE=trailers, deflate, gzip, compress Date=Tue, 07 Dec 2010 17:19:50 GMT AS2-Version=1.1 Accept-Encoding=gzip, x-gzip, compress, x-compress AS2-From=kg_certificate Content-Transfer-Encoding=binary Disposition-Notification-To=[email protected] Message-ID=<ID:<172014.1291742389684.0>@kg_certificate> Content-type=application/octet-stream MSG_RECEIVED_TIME=Tue Dec 07 12:20:39 EST 2010 ECID-Context=1.0000In1qASoEoI05nzp2iZ1Cxam9001KGU;kXCmv0 MIME-version=1.0 User-Agent=AS2 Server Oracle HTTPClient Version 10h Content-Disposition=attachment; filename=J7Q9A7.txt Content-Length=211 Host=10.32.200.207:8001 Connection=Keep-Alive, TE From=kg_certificate
    Things look good here but when the file is written to a directory the file name is of the form <sendername>_<doctypename>_<docrevision>_<msgtype>_*****.dat. I do not get the desired file name (J7Q9A7.txt). What am I missing?

  • How to get the file name from downloads folder with the applescript??

    Hi All..
    I am downloading an application to downloads folder, I need to install the same application after downloading programatically.
    So how do I get the filename in runtime while downloading or after downloading from downloads folder with Applescript or Java?
    Also my download URL link doesnot contain full name of the download file.
    Pls suggest.

    Hi,
    The best method is to use curl.
    Other methods are not reliable, but can work, it depends on several factors (what the script does, what the user does).
    Here is an example with the curl command:
    set tUrl to "http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/files/2.0.4/macosx/vlc-2.0.4.dmg/download?ac cel_key=60%3A1350656196%3Ahttp%253A//www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html%3 A7233e4e9%245818d66f39b0576e1e9c4a0f3b46b1991180bfdd&click_id=976a88ee-19f7-11e2 -9a21-0200ac1d1d8e&source=accel"
    set dFolder to path to downloads folder
    tell application "Finder" to set newFolder to (make new folder at dFolder) as string
    set f to quoted form of POSIX path of newFolder
    do shell script "cd " & f & " && curl -L " & tUrl & " -o 'vlc.dmg'" -- download  to file "vlc.dmg"
    set downloadedFile to newFolder & "vlc.dmg" --<-- HFS path
    --do something with the downloadedFile

  • Newbie Question: Getting the file name from a JFileChooser

    Hi,

    How do I retrieve this name?
    Cheers,

    Hey it's ok, you're new. But one thing you've got to learn is to RTFM (Read the .... Manual). You'll answer own your questions much faster that way.
    Take a look at the example at the top of:

  • Re: getting the file name from a dynamic web server

    On a related note, how do I get the information from the:
    URLConnection.getContent ()
    method?
    I mean I create URL object, then
    I create a URLConnection object by doing the following from my URL object (urlObject):
    URLConnection con = urlObject.openConnection()
    Then when I get the content from the URLConnection:
    Object contentReturned = con.getContent();
    I check the class name:
    System.out.println("con.getContent class name :"+contentReturned.getClass().getName());
    The class name that is returned is:
    sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection
    But when I tried to cast the returned object to a java.net.HttpURLConnection it threw an exception.
    So basically my question is how do I access the information in either the URL.getContent or the URLConnection.getContent methods?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    could someone tell me how the URL.toString() text is generated. I realize in the doc's it says it calls the toExternalForm method, but then my question is where does the method toExternalForm get its text/data?
    In the javadoc's it says the information returned from the toExternalForm method is:
    The string is created by calling the toExternalForm method of the stream protocol handler for this object.
    How can I access this.
    Basically when toString is called, there is some information in the text returned - something like this:
    sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection:http://static.webserver.com/kuki/foofi1.mpg
    and instead of parsing this string, I would like to get the
    http://static.webserver.com/kuki/foofi1.mpg
    portion of the string from whatever source the toExternalForm method used.
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Get File name from incoming IDoc

    HI All,
    I am in an IDOC to File scenario using Fcc. (R/3 --> XI --> 3rd party)
    I need to use the  idoc-number(EDI_DC40-Docnum) as my output file name. I planned using variable substitution but there it expects me to get the idoc number from payload which I do not have it in. (refer c ode below)
    As I understand, variable substitution can be used only on payload(the FINAL data set that we will be writing to the file).
    Can we use the data which is part of incoming IDOC and not part of payload(final data what we are writing to file).??
    Other idea was to map this IDOC no to a field in final file, but this field should not be written in the output file, so am confused about how to achieve this.
    E.g
    *Incoming Data*
    IDOC
      |_EDI_DC40
        |_DOCNUM
    Final data (Payload)
    Header
    Data
    Trailer
    As seen in my example above I do not have the IDOC no in the final data so how do I use the Idoc no as my filename? Apprecaite your help on same.
    Regards
    Shirin

    Hi
    You can use dynamic configuration to get the file name .
    Use Adapter Specific Message Attributes for the target Comm Chanel check the indicator for filename in the advanced tab of CC
    create a UDF with i/p as file name  i.e the Idocnum field and
    paste this code
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    //conf.removeAll();
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    //String filename= conf.get(key);
    conf.put(key, fileName);
    key= null;
    return fileName;
    PS: use cache as value in UDF
    ands assign the o/p of this UDF to a root node
