Getting a green sceen and sound, but everything works fine in chrome.

I have a new computer it uses Windows 8. According to the Adobe website I have the latest version of flash player installed (16. something). I usually use Google Chrome for my browser, but my kids use internet explorer. I noticed about a week ago that when I played my one game the ads came up green and the kids said videos came up that way too (on IE). However in Chrome they work great. The real problem is Skype. I got on today and only get the green screen to see my Dad who I was talking to, but I can see myself in the playback video at the bottom perfectly fine. I have tried everything on the Adobe site that I can. I can usually fix things on the computer but this has me stumped. I am still getting used to the new operating system too, so that doesn't help me.

Solid amber on an AirPort Extreme is an indication that the internal power supply is starting to act up.
If the AirPort Extreme is in warranty, it shouid be exchanged for another AirPort Extreme.
If the AirPort Extreme is several years old, keep any eye on things. When/if you find that you are having to reset the device several times a week, it's time to start thinking about a replacement device, as the end is near.

Googlemail and leopard todo list frustration but everything working fine

Hey guys
My mail seems to be working fine, i have 4 accounts setup all receiving emails fine (I hope) all i done was did a clean install from the snow leopard disk and manually backed up using time machine copying over the folders i wanted i.e. itunes / iphoto / calendar etc (Not mail)
i then started again with mail adding accounts although i did have to quit mail do a restart to get my emails back that were stored on google etc
Now my problem...
I select in preferences to always use the "on my mac" todo list under composing but i keep getting the googlemail todo list under neath on the sidebar. Although it doesn't do anything, is there a way i can delete it from view as it's very much a pet hate.

My first thoughts are
• iMovie ill behaving - Trash the iMovie pref file - use to set things right
• in reg. to Photos - Did You change iPhoto Photo Library - Then iMovie get's lost as it peeks into iPhoto on start up to see where photos are stored. Set iPhoto back to first Photo Library (when iMovie is not running) then start iMovie.

Help! Getting iTunes Error 11503 and Error (-50) was working fine this morning and now nothing

My iTunes has been working fine until this afternoon and now when I go to download music I am getting error code 11503 or (-50) Help, please!

Here's a possible fix for Error 11503 and for error 50.
It worked for me and hopefully it will work for you.
I believe this error is caused by the incomplete downloading of either an update to an app, or perhaps a big music file. In my case it was caused by closing the lid on my laptop when I was downloading app updates on a very slow internet connection in a hotel.
Anyway, here is what I did that fixed it completely.
Close iTunes.
Go to this folder : /iTunes/Mobile Applications/Downloads
You'll find tmp files there. Drag them out of this folder to a temporary folder on your desktop. The Downloads folder should now be empty.
Restart iTunes.
All should be fine.
If it's not, then I can't help further, but that's what worked for me.

I've updated Linux from 2.6 to 3.0, everything seems to be working as before, but I'm getting this when booting:
Loading modules [FAIL]
I don't see anything relevant in dmesg output, everything seems to be loaded fine. Is anybody else getting the same error since the kernel update?

What's strange is that Tp smapi's functionality seems to be there anyway... It's a module for battery control in Thinkpads and my battery indeed doesn't charge beyond 80%, the way I want it to be.
I'm having the same issue. I think you will find that the "functionality" isn't provided, as you said, /sys/devices/platform/smapi doesn't exist, and that your battery is actually remembering the last charge limits you sent to it. Try to remove the battery and put it back, I'm nearly sure that it'll lose them. This is what happens to me on my second battery, the ultra-bay one, which I occasionally have to remove to insert my CD drive.
No idea why tp_smapi doesn't load when put in MODULES in rc.conf, but workarounds should be easy. Alternatively, if you only use it to update your charge settings, you can just manually load it each time you need to.
EDIT :
Have just found out that by manually adding thinkpad_ec before tp_smapi in MODULES in rc.conf, everything loads. Strange, since thinkpad_ec should be loaded automatically with tp_smapi. But hey, it works.

Part of screen froze but everything works fine

I was trying to bootcamp my mac and install windows 7. When I restarted the computer, while things were loading (before and during the apple logo in startup) I could see like the shadow of some of my desktop icons, the looked like the were printed in the screen. I restarted several time but they are still there. How can I fix this?

Flashing Orange Light - but everything works fine

Hello I've found other discussion posts regarding flashing lights, however they seem to most/all be associated with a problem connecting. I'm connected as always just fine, wirelessly through my TC. I did a software update check and everything is up to date. So not sure why the orange light is flashing. Any help? Thanks.

Open Airport Utility, click Manual Setup
Click on the word "Status" and a window will open with a message about the reason for the flashing amber light.
If all appears to be well on your network, the flashing light may be an indication that a firmware update is available for your device. This would be separate from any software update notices that you may have received.
Let us know what you find.

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:

If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:

I ran into the same problem, I think that, If you tab on a song that is on your IPOD, and the song data is grayed-out, I think it means that the song is probably twice on your IPOD and that the iTunes directory can not edit THAT song data for two (or more) files @once. Check if this is the case, sinceI have the same problem,am looking for a way to have One and the same song in more playlists but only keep the song once on the IPOD.

Depending on the extent of the damage, Apple may replace the iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to repair the iPod for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty will be void.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test.

The apps I currently have are for the i phone and i pad but i would like to see this on this computer
On the Mac Air launch iTunes. Then connect either the iPad or iPhone.
Select the iPad or iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Then select Apps from the menu on the right.
If you don't see the apps listed there, from your iTunes menu bar (top of your screen), click Store > Authorize This Computer.
See if that makes a difference...

The Acrobat SDK is nothing by itself. It is just information on how to automate Acrobat - just as the Office SDK doesn't include Office, but is for people who already have purchased Office but want to automate it.
These automation things are MARKETING TOOLS FOR ACROBAT. Consider this and the technical limitations make a lot more sense.
So, yes, you need to buy Acrobat. Standard is cheaper than Pro.
