Getting a warning before credit card debited in iTunes / App Store
When I first purchased and app via my new iPad on the App store, it asked for confirmation. Today I purchased an app, the price (white on grey) changed to white on green "Install". After hitting Install, I expected a warning or confirmation message of some type - but no, no second change - voilà there it was!
OK so what I want is to always have a confirmation message, a warning - even if I have to re-enter my credit card or re-enter a password (that would be best) - but I can see myself browsing a $99.99 app one day and inadvertently hitting "install" and suddenly my credit card is billed…
I know you may think this is a bit overcautious or that I'm not being careful, but I also have always had my Mac's EMPTY TRASH give me a warning message and that has saved me more than once since 1989…
Thanks for any comments on how to do this. I want the apps to be able to transfer / sync from my Mac to my iPad (and eventually iPhone) - but I want a warning when I purchase (or I want to have to enter my password of my Apple account again)--
Best regards,
Steve Schulte

If you are an old timer, sometimes the App store gets confused about your account.
You might be "oldtimer"
Or you might be "[email protected]"
This is the situation for me (Yes, I am old and long suffering).
This situation means sometimes you have to log in as the other user to get things to work, or to see things you have already purchased. I assume this is due to the fact that I was an iwork/iweb/.mac/whateveapplecallsitthisweek/icloud user.
Other then that, you might login in to the web interface from your mac and try to update your crdit card info from there. If it's all correct and the card is good it SHOULD go.
Best of luck,
Marty

HT204266 How can I remove my credit card information from the app store?
How can I remove my credit card information from the app store? I would like to have an account without the credit card information.
I would like to put in my credit card only when I am ready to purchase. On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen then do you owe iTunes anything or have any pre-orders/subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ? -
How do I delete credit card information for the app store?
Right, so here's what happened. Got into this game that I recently downloaded through the app store, came to a road block were I could either wait days to get the in-game money I needed needed to move on or pay $1.99 and get it over with. I had a gift card with $3 still on it and thought "why the **** not?" Problem now is that I can't update any of my apps without this notification coming up and saying that I need to update my card. I've tried going through my account settings on my phone but I don't get that "none" opinion that everyone is talking about. How can I delete that card from my account? Do I need to call someone or just use up that $1 I have on it?
Hello ArcticWolfParadise,
I would try iTunes as well to see if you get the none option available there. I think what may be contributing to it is, even if the app is .99 cents with tax, that will put it over the 1 dollar left in your credit, there by needing a credit card to cover the tax.
iTunes Store: Changing account information
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
Changing your account information using a computer:
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then click the Sign In button.
Choose Store > View My Account.
Enter your account password, and click the View Account button.
And then
To update your name, billing address, or payment information, follow these instructions:
From the Apple Account Information page, click the Edit Payment Information button.
Edit the information that you would like to change. Note: The payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts can be found in the payment type section. If you do not want a payment method on your account, select None in the payment type section.
Click the Done button once you've updated all of your information.
If the issue persists then I would reach out to the iTunes Store support directly using the most recent receipt you have with this article How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1933.

US credit card for Japanese iBook/App stores
Hi - sorry if this has discussed before. I looked around and couldn't find an answer: My wife's iPad is set up as Japanese - our credit card is US and that's where we live. How can she purchase apps and ibooks through the Japanese stores?
Sorry.

HT6119 Credit card details require in app store
I have created an app ID but when I try to download an app I am always asked to review the new ID. When I do that it asks for credit card details. But I do not have a credit card. Now what is the solution?
Use these instructions from this user and set up the account in the iTunes app forst to choose None in the payment options.

How can I delete my credit card info from the apps store?
Ever since I put my credit card info into the system it won't let me download anything even if it's free. It keeps saying to verify card info and when I do it ask for the card security number but when I put it in then it says it's not right. I don't know what else to do besides delete the card info but I'm not sure how to do that. I have been downloading free stuff with no problem until last Sunday I put my card info in to buy something and it let me make my purchase with no problem and now I'm trying to download free stuff and it keeps wanting me to verify my credit card info and telling me it's wrong info. Please can someone help me out?
I don't mind having my card info on there but now I can't download anything and it's frustrating. All it ask for is the card security number and when I put it in it says it's invalid. So now while I'm trying to delete it, it just won't let me. The visa part stays checked all the time and I can't unmarked it. I tried to just erase the card number and security code and stuff but it says I have to have it filled in. Do you know how I can check to see if it says I owe money?

I purchased iPad 3. While trying install application,it says it is not available in Kuwaiti store. I entered my credit card details to complete the configuration . What is the issue.
Even free apps have limits on where they can be downloaded. Either the app maker does not want to release it in Kuwait or (more likely) he/she does not have the rights or permits to release it in Kuwait.

You can disable purchases in Restrictions on the phone, requiring a password to do so.
