Getting a watermark background image to underlay box lines and lines.

I've added a page header to my report with a watermark that underlays following sections.  My box lines aren't showing up because the image covers them. Everything else displays above the image.  Is there any way to solve this problem without using text boxes with borders?

I tried this and it didn't turn out very well. My image is really light gray in colour (with a white background) and I'm having a rough time making the transparency show up in Crystal since it won't support .GIF images. When I do it in .JPG or .PNG it corrupts the image so bad you can barely see it after its been made transparent. I'm using GIMP 2.0 as my editor. I don't know if there is an easier way to do this. You would think the program would have a simpler way to add a background image into reports.  -.-

  • How to setup jpeg file as background image for all site pages and resolution stay same?

    I have uploaded my new site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com
    I have background image set the same on all site pages  but image is incorrectly zoomed way in on some pages (like Home page for example).
    The Donate Page shows the correct resolution which I want displayed on all site pages.
    How do I set all other site pages to match background image resolution of the Donate Page?
    I am not sure what I am doing wrong that is changing this, or if it's possibly a bug?
    I want the background image to be full screen on all site pages please advise how to resolve.
    I would appreciate the assistance!
    Thank you kindly!
    Tammy

    I have re-uploaded my site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com.
    If I set the Master page to Tile vertically that is only way I can get full screen background image of vegetables (without distortion).
    Then however another issue occurs....
    On Home Page of site I set same property to Tile and the background is better (no visible line where tiles meet---above the navigation tool bar--that is what I want for all pages associated to Master.
    So logically, I tried setting a 2nd associated site page to same master, to Tile but on Statement of Faith Page, notice the horizontal line where tiles meet, above my navigation bar on that site page?
    Why does Muse not handle both site pages associated to the same master identically?
    Any of the other options besides Tile or Tile vertically cause the background to not fill entire screen.
    Ideas?

    I see this problem has been posted before , but no advice has been added , please help if possible .
    My iPad recently started to act up. I was using Google to find some information on birthday cakes and recipes. I selected 'images' but instead of the little thumbnails I got computer code. Lines and lines of the stuff. This only happened yesterday. The iPad was working perfectly up to then. I am having no other problems. Google images work fine on my iPhone and my Mac Book. I would be very grateful if somebody could help.

    The problem is absolutely not Reader. The problem is that FireFox has stepped in front of Reader and handles all the PDF stuff - wrongly in your case. FireFox is DESIGNED to take over PDF files. But it is not capable of doing IRS forms!
    To start with go back to IE for these forms. When you save them to disk DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK ON THEM until this is fixed. Just open the in the normal way - start Adobe Reader and use Open from the File menu.

  • How to get background image to fill the browser and remain fixed in both IE and Firefox?

    Basically what it says in the title. I've come very close in achieving this but something just doesn't tie up in the html and css code...
    First of all, I'm using IE8 and the latest version of Firefox to test this.
    I used 2 sources of information for getting this done: 1) http://css-tricks.com/perfect-full-page-background-image/ and 2) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8958697/css3-background-size-cover-doesnt-make-image-co ver-vertically
    In Case 1 the example on the page called CSS-Only Technique #1 gives code that works almost perfectly for me, except that obviously I need a background image, however the CSS provided there is clearly just for an image dropped in the body of a page with no regard for other content that may already be there. The html code that I put on the page is simply <img class="bg" src="../images/background_image.jpg">
    Obviously I used the CSS code provided in the example, minus the last bit which is "@media screen" etc etc, which seems irrelevant to me. Obviously substituting values to suit the image on my page.
    So what happened is that it almost worked as intended in both the browsers (which means the image filled both browsers width-wise as intended and also remained fixed when I zoomed in or out in each case) except that the image went over the top of the current content that I had there already precisely because it's not a background in this "technique". (A curious side-note is that the image didn't push down the content, as I'd have expected in normal circumstances, but went right over the top of it so it hid it (like z-index).
    One thing that does bother me about this "technique" is that if you click on View Demo just below the code provided you will see on the working example page (forest background) the image clearly works as a background and the content sits happily on top! So I don't know whether the person providing the example was trying to mislead people or what! Or he got lazy and showed a different page that didn't use the exact code he provided. No matter.
    In any case this leaves me with the job only half finished, as I still need a background image that works like the 'normal image' code provided.
    On to Case 2 and on this page the first example provided gives the CSS for the background image - namely the code within html {...} part and also shows the same 'normal image' code as given in Case 1. In this case however, although the person provided a suggestion, the css and html doesn't really tie up properly plus some of the css and html seems a bit redundant. So this time when I used the 'html portion' of the CSS code (i.e. just the bit that was most relevant) I got two different behaviours in each browser and neither of which was quite what I'm looking for. In IE8 initially the page looks fine (background fills the page and content is on top) however when I zoom in or out the background also zooms in or out accordingly so is NOT fixed. In Firefox the background image DOES stay fixed, however because the image originally is not the whole height of the browser I'm guessing the code stretches it downwards (while keeping proportions - so the image essentially enlarges) to fill all of it. The quick way to get around it is to probably add some white space to the bottom of the image just to give it enough height that it doesn't stretch/resize automatically. But it would be nice to find out anyway how to get around this in the code. Overall I would say that the result in Firefox comes closest to the desired solution but of course it doesn't help matters with IE8.
    Apologies for the lengthy description but that should at least provide plenty info for anybody that might have a possible solution for me. Essentially what would be great is if somebody could advise me how to take the code from Case 1 and apply it to a 'background' piece of coding like the type that's contained within html {...} in Case 2. Like I said, it's so nearly there but I just can't make it work atm after trying to combine the various bits of code this way and that... Alternatively, if somebody has another html-css version that works nicely for achieving this then please by all means let me know! Thanks v much in advance!

    This works in modern CSS3 supporting browsers.  But not pre-IE9.

  • Can't get rid of background image of toolbar buttons

    I am just a front-end developer and responsible for the front-end look of an ADF application that we are creating: We are using jDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 (and we cannot upgrade due to being told no...so I cannot USE the skin editor which when I tried to use, migrates the files).
    I have created the necessary directories and files per tutorials I have been reading up on...
    skins directory - (new directory)
    skin.css (new file)
    Web-Inf -
    trinidad-skins.xml (new file and correctly configured)
    trinidad-config.xml (existing file but updated to use the new skin)
    Within the trinidad-skins.xml file I have the the new skin specified and is extending the "fusionFx-v1.desktop" default theme being used.
    Now the problem... I cannot get the background images to be overwritten or disabled for af|toolbar::item within the .css file
    I have looked up information about how to overwrite this and I tried to use the
    -tr-inhibit: background-image; within the .css declaration like this
    <code>
    af|toolbar::item {
    -tr-inhibit: background-image;
    </code>
    That was unsuccessful. I even just tried standard background {none;} and that was a no go as wel.
    What am I doing wrong here? This is driving me nuts... they made this skinning stuff way too complicated IMO. I don't see why I can't just add a class to the component within the property inspector of that component and then be able to reference it via normal css conventions... but nope BREAKS grrr... And I'm advanced level CSS coder! This stuff has me absolutely clueless and ready to just quit!
    Any suggestions or help is appreciated! And again... I cannot use the skin editor! Everytime I tried to, it prompted me to migrate the application and I cannot do this since there are about 5 other developers working on this application (we use clearcase for version control).
    Thanks,
    Michael

    I can't use the stand alone skin editor since it will want me to migrate the project files (developed in 11.1.1.4) and all files are source controlled via ClearCase.
    I have been experimenting...This is the code on the .jspx page
    <code>
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="header" styleClass="headerParent">
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="topLinkBar" layout="horizontal" styleClass="topLinkBar AFStretchWidth">
    <af:outputLabel value="#{customeradminportalviewcontrollerBundle.CUSTOMER_ACCOUNT}" styleClass="customerLabel"/>
    <af:outputText value="outputText2012" styleClass="customerOutput"/>
    <af:toolbox id="topLinkToolBox" styleClass="topLinkToolBox">
    <af:toolbar id="topLinkToolBar" styleClass="topLinkToolBar">
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="#{customeradminportalviewcontrollerBundle.HELP}" id="ctb2"/>
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="#{customeradminportalviewcontrollerBundle.POWER_INVOICE}" id="ctb1"/>
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="#{customeradminportalviewcontrollerBundle.CONTRACT}" id="ctb3"/>
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="#{customeradminportalviewcontrollerBundle.SIGNOUT}" id="ctb4"/>
    </af:toolbar>
    </af:toolbox>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </code>
    Here is the CSS code
    <code>
    #topLinkToolBar af|commandToolbarButton {
    background-image: none;
    background-color: transparent;
    border: 0;
    </code>
    That WILL NOT get rid of the background images on the buttons! However if I do the !important hack within the CSS like this:
    <code>
    #topLinkToolBar af|commandToolbarButton {
    background-image: none!important;
    background-color: transparent!important;
    border: 0!important;
    </code>
    Then BOOM it works... I do NOT want to use the !important hack since that will cause problems in CSS inheritance and cascading...
    What am I doing wrong?
    Also how do I (if possible) target a specific ID used? For example the af:toolbar has an ID of "topLinkToolBar" how can I target that within the CSS? I know I can target it via class attribute like this:
    <code>
    af:toolbar.topLinkToolBar
    </code>
    but how would I do the same if I wanted to only apply to a component with a particular ID?
    Thank you everyone for all your patience, suggestions and help with this... I'm totally new to this type of environment and it's been a slow and frustrating learning experience!

  • Background images w/aspect ratio true and clipping

    I'm trying to create a site where the background image takes
    up 100% of the screen, minus a 30px border around the app.
    perimiter. The sizing method I'm trying to replicate is at
    http://www.letstakepictures.info.
    Notice that when the window is resized to any dimensions the
    background image:
    1) Resizes proportionately w/out distortion
    2) Maintains its aspect ratio at all times
    3) All other image information is clipped when the window is
    resized unproportionately i.e. 30% high 100% wide.

    The method of obtaining a 16:9 ratio explained within
    my last post (click here to view Part I)
    has left me with a distorted preview that is
    difficult to accurately achieve what I was able to
    without distortion.
    The timeing of all my keyframes has been effected and
    is hard to adjust due to the squished preview.
    Judging by eye, where to zoom and how it will affect
    the final output cannot be revealed until I've
    compressed the file and imported in DVDSP. Which I
    can then get a true preview within the simulator.
    Actually, the method described should have left you with an UNDISTORTED preview. Perhaps it wasn't the fix you needed at all. There is no way you should have to go as far as the DVDSP simulator windown to see an undistorted image.
    What you describe - viewing squished footage in FCP - means you have not set up FCP properly for the material with which you're working.
    Maybe best if you start again at the beginning, as there are no doubt some important details missing here. My understanding is you are trying to make anamorphic 16:9 DVDs incorporating still images and video footage (which may or may not be 16:9).
    The way to do this properly is to start out with an anamorphic FCP project and format your material correctly within that project, working with anamorphic sequences that will translate seamlessly to a 16:9 DVDSP project.
    It sounds, though, that some of your FCP sequences are still, in fact, 4:3.

  • How to get rid of background image when I scroll up or down in safari?

    Since I have downloaded OS Mavericks on my macbook pro I have a problems with Safari.  Whenever I scroll up or down on any webpage and ugly background of clipart looking images appears instead of the original grey background.   This is the best image I could take of what it looks like when I scroll up.

    funwidowlady,
    Good afternoon!  I'm glad I can be here to help with this error. In the device this application is identified only as 'Talk', so that be more familiar to you. First I recommend opening the 'Market' app on your phone, then Menu>My Apps to see if this application requires an update. It will display a list on top of all applications that need to be updated. If nothing exists, tap 'Home' and go into 'Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk, then tap 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data' to remove the history of that application and stop the notifications.  The app will remain on your phone for future use, if you desire to take advantage of it. • How do I get rid of the thin line that goes across the top Persona background image.

    There is a 1-pixel wide light grey line across the top Persona background image between the navigation toolbar and the bookmarks toolbar from left to right. Nomatter whatever persona I have installed, it is there. Same thing also when i hover on any other Persona at Getpersonas.com. It is not there when using any other program and not when only showing the desktop. Only when using FF4. My PC is a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop using Windows Vista. This is not a monitor issue nor a graphic card issue since it only shows in FF.

    for me, it happens on a maximized window. when i do restore to window, the line disappears.

  • SSRS - A Subreport background image is overridden by background image of parent report

    Hello. I have a background image on my parent report and a different background image for my sub reports. The background image of my sub reports are instead inheriting the background image of the parent report. I've researched and found nobody talking about
    this. All my images are embedded.
    Is there away around this?
    Thanks,
    James
    James

    For both the parent report and the sub report, I right clicked the Images folder in the Report Data section and embedded the images in the rdl. The parent report has an embedded image called watermark. The child report has an embedded image called subreportwatermark.
    In the parent report, I added the following to the report properties:
    In the child report, I added the following to the body properties:
    Yes, I use an expression to determine whether to use the watermark or nothing based on a field of a dataset as you see above in both Value properties of both the report properties of the parent report and the body properties of the child sub report.
    If I run the sub report only in the BIDS solution for a child row that has Y for watermark value, the sub report's subreportwatermark does show.
    If I run the sub report only in the BIDS solution for a child row that has N for watermark value, the watermark does not show.
    So far so good.
    If I run the parent report in the BIDS solution for a parent row that has Y for watermark value, I don't get what I
    expect. Here is the scenario. Five pages are produced. One for the parent, and one each for the sub report.
    Parent Row - Watermark Y
        Child Row 1 - Watermark Y
        Child Row 1 - Watermark N
        Child Row 1 - Watermark N
        Child Row 1 - Watermark Y
    What I expect to see.
    Page 1 - Parent Report's watermark should display.
    Page 2 - Child Sub Report's subreportwatermark should display.
    Page 3 - Child Sub Report's - No watermark at all.
    Page 4 - Child Sub Report's subreportwatermark should display.
    Page 5 - Child Sub Report's - No watermark at all.
    To be clear. I should NEVER expect to see the parent report's watermark on pages 2 - 5.
    What was the actual result? This is what I see in BIDS when I click the preview tab in
    Print Layout.
    Page 1 - Parent Report's watermark displayed.
    Page 2 - Child Sub Report  - Parent Report's watermark displayed.
    Page 3 - Child Sub Report  - Parent Report's watermark displayed.
    Page 4 - Child Sub Report  - Parent Report's watermark displayed.
    Page 5 - Child Sub Report  - Parent Report's watermark displayed.
    This is what I see in BIDS when I click the preview tab in View
    Layout.
    Page 1 - Parent Report. No watermark displays.
    Page 2 - Child Sub Report  - Child Report's subreportwatermark displayed.
    Page 3 - Child Sub Report  - No watermark.
    Page 4 - Child Sub Report  - Child Report's subreportwatermark displayed.
    Page 5 - Child Sub Report  - No watermark.
    Both the print layout and view layout is wrong. What matters is what prints or is saved to a pdf. What prints and gets saved to a PDF is the Print Layout view.

    APEX generates the <tt>span</tt> element for report cell contents when HTML Cell Attributes are specified. Remove them from your code:style="width: 533px; height: 59px; background-image: url(/i/images/mypicture.png);"
    Also, quotes are unneccessary in CSS URLs.
    3. PRE ELEMENT TEXT i gave the below code
    <span style="padding:120px;"></span>
    This is applying padding to an empty <tt>span</tt>. The property is better applied somewhere else. What exactly are you trying to achieve here?
    Images are showing but getting the below code on images how to suppress the below code
    colspan="1" rowspan ="1" align="right valign ='middle'
    The main cause of this is probably the unnecessary <tt>span</tt> in (2) above, but <tt>align="right valign ='middle'</tt> is a syntax error. Where is this coming from? The <tt>align="right"</tt> needs a terminating double quote.

  • 7941/61g background image question

    I have added a background image to our 7941/61g ip phones. The image looks good, but the button appearance divider lines are going accross the screen in front of the image. Is there any way to set up the display to remove the button separator lines while keeping the line labels?
    I had looked into using the idle url, but found that I had to use an external web server for this. Besides, I am not sure if the idle image would be over top of the button labels. If anyone knows if this is the case I would appreciate hearing about it.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    The issue is not that I can't get the custom background image on the phone. I have a custom background on the phone, but the line appearance deviders (The lines above and below each line label) extend completely across the display over top of the background image. For example, I have 6 buttons comfigured on a 7961G phone which causes 7 lines to cross all the way across the phone display. If I have 3 lines configured only 4 lines extend across the display.
    I am asking if there is any way to remove the lines deviding the phone-line labels that are going across the display over top of the custom background image.
    I was at a store the other day and saw that their 7961 phone had a background image and the line labels only had boxes around them. The line label deviders did not extend across the phone any farther than the line label text. This is what I would like to configure. I'm not sure if the phone was useing Callmanger or a SIP server though.

    div of this one setting. Or even if that is what is needed.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    So to give a different background image to different pages using CSS.
    Create a CSS file in your Dreamweaver site.
    Link it to your pages.(in your head tag like so: <link href="path/to/stylesheet.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />)
    In your HTML code find the body tag and give it an id (like so: <body id="myUniqueID">)
    In your stylesheet write the following code:
    #myUniqueID{
    background: #color, url("path/to/image.jpeg") repeat);
    And now extrapolate the above steps and code to your other pages and voila, you now have different background images for your different pages.

  • BUG: Background Image

    Hi,
    Here's a annoying bug. I finally found a way to reproduce it, I hope it's reproducible on other pc's. If anybody has a solution (besides not changing the background), I'd very much like to here it.
    In LabVIEW 8.2:
    Create a new VI, with a property node, and link it to the pane (Link To>Pane).
    Select "Background Image".
    From "Graphics & Sound>Picture Functions", select "Draw Flattened Pixmap"
    Create a Picture control indicator.
    Right Click the scroll bar, and select Properties.
    Select the "Clouds" background.
    Save Close and reopen the vi.
    Run the vi. A nice picture of the background appears.
    Change the background to "Wood - Oak".
    Run the vi. Now the colors are inverted, like a color negative!
    Change back to "Clouds", the colors are still inverted!
    For some reason, I created an even worse situation, but I don't know how. When I start a vi, I get an inverted background image at first run, without changing my background! I Need this background to draw a semi transparent png file manually (with alpha blending), so this bug is a real show stopper. Copying the code to a new vi results in the same problem...

    Well, at least I found a way to "fix" the last problem. I changed 1 pixel in the right bottom of the bmp, saved it, change the background to it, closed the vi, and then the problem didn't occure... Changing back to the old picture did cause the problem again.
