Getting all blacks to be 000000 (hex)
This is driving me batty. A couple of days ago I realized that the black silection box is not hex black.
Is there a way to get it to be black (#000000)? I am rather upset about this because all of my images from the last two months (over 100) now need to be fixed or they will not print correctly. I would rather be building my business than getting Illustrator to work like it should. This is going to be a mess to fix.

RGB black (0,0,0) is the same as hex black (000000), only with parts of 255. So inserting the RGB values will give you what you want.
Or, to do it more easily, you may Select>Same>Fill Color/Stroke Color and change it, using the RGB part of the Color palette/panel; you will see the muddy values there.
This should be done in File>Document Color Mode>RGB Color, or the values will get changed.
Is the document in CMYK? If so, the easy pick of black may be correct (RGB 0,0,0) if you change to RGB.
CMYK black (0,0,0,100) is not quite black. For print in CMYK you use a rich black, with 100 K and suitable values of C, M, and Y depending on the context (Y does not contribute as much to the deepness as do C and M); the total ink coverage should be somewhere between 260 and 340 depending on paper etc.
You may create a customized rich black based upon the colours that are in the background.
This should be done in File>Document Color Mode>CMYK Color, or the values will get changed.

I've done all above but still get a black screen on apple tv. i can hear the beep of my remote but no picture, hdmi and tv selection proper... any ideas?

The sleepimage file still reappears even if never slept. Delete it (hibernate off, etc) - within minutes its back.

I Cannot import any vertical pictures. I don't even get a black screen and therefore can't edit. After downloading from the camera the vertices pictures show with a red ! And won't import. Sounds like we all have to report this to apple ....but anyone had same issue and how can I fix, we are on trip and need to clear the camera for more photos.

Go to the Help menu in Photoshop and select the System Info menu item. Copy all that information and paste all of it here MINUS your serial number.
Yes, Photoshop can delegate a lot of the computing tasks to the GPU on your graphics card. You may have to disable that feature in Photoshop Preferences > Performance. -
LJ4000n - Getting a black smudge (~1") all along the left side of the paper
When printing to an LJ4000n we're getting a black/gray smudge, about 1" thick, along the left side of the paper - see below. The toner has been changed, the printer has been cleaned (as per Chapter 3 - Printer Maintenance in the User Guide) and I did 2 rounds of Printer Cleaning Pages ('create' & 'process'). I'm at loss! Any help / advice would be appreciated!

Right now, the address line in my address box, at the top of the page, begins "https://support", all in light gray, followed by "mozilla.com", in black, followed by "/en-US/questions/new?product=.......etc.", all in light gray on a white backround, so it is almost unreadable. Why did this start happening, and how do I change this, so that the address is all black on white, and not half gray and half black?

Hi.
So I decided to a class project, and found this supposedly great app.
I imported all the pictures, recorded the voices, and inserted the soundtrack via iMovie.
Then, once I clicked export and looked at the result, the first half of the product was just all black, with the sound
About a minute within the project (2 minutes total), than the images start appearing.
So basically, in the final product, the first half of my inserted pictures are all just gone, and is replaced with a black screen.
Did anybody else encounter this issue?

We have lot of applications in our environment. Many applications are configured to use Managed Service Accounts. Many Workstations and servers are running batch
jobs with AD user credentials. Many applications are using AD user accounts to carry out their processes.
We need to find out all those AD Users, which are configured as MSA, Which are configured for batch jobs and which are being used for different applications on
our network (Need to find out for every machine on network).
These identified AD Users will be migrated to the new Domain with top priority. I get stuck with this requirement and your support will be deeply appreciated.
I hope a well designed PS script can achieve this.

for this analysis, where more than 200000 users getting logged in through AD. It is the fact that when a batch / MS or an application uses a Domain Users credential with successful process, automatically a successful logon event will be triggered in associated
DC. But there are also too many users which are not part of these accounts like MSA/Batch jobs or not linked to any application. In that case we have to get through unwanted events.

So I think, can a PS script be designed to get the report of all running applications which use domain accounts for their authentication to carry out their process. So from that result we can filter out the AD accounts being used for those
applications. After that these three individual modules can be compacted in to a single script to provide the desired output as per the requirement in a single report.

Why do I get a black screen in front row when watching some iTunes store purchases? esp Cars 2
We bought Cars 2 a few months ago from the iTunes store. The movie won't work in Front Row, we only get a black screen (except for the blue Front Row controls at the bottom) although the audio comes through just fine. The annoying part is all of our other iTunes store movies work fine in Front Row. Just Cars 2 is broken. I don't think that it is an authorisation problem because it plays okay in iTunes, Quicktime, even via airplay to an appleTV or via Home Sharing to our iPad.
The movie is only standard definition so I am guessing that it is not an HDCP issue; I understand that there is only HDCP on HD movies. We are playing it on a Mac Mini (core 2 duo) on a Sony Bravia via a VGA connector.
After a little bit of complaining, apple let us download the movie again in case the file was corrupted, but unfortunately the same problem with the new version.
The computer did have Perian installed at one point, but uninstalling and restarting made no difference.
I have found lots of reports of movies with missing picture in Front Row but these are all ripped videos, never with an iTunes Store purchase.
Apple won't refund our money as the purchase was more than 60 days ago by the time I gave up troubleshooting and reported the problem.Yeah! Problem solved: It's a QT issue.
Cause: Mac Update Software downloaded a faulty QT.
Solution: Download QT from Apple's QT site.

My iPhone 4S kept canceling while syncing. In the Apple support communities, it was recommended that I do a full system restore. I backed the phone up and did the restore. Now it won't finish the restore process. It gets to where it will restore the apps and it says "copying 1 of 51", and then it cancels the sync. I have no apps on the phone - they are all black and they say "waiting". How do I get the apps reloaded on the phone? Do I have to delete them all and redownload them? I'm not even sure that will work. Do I go to Verizon and ask if they can fix it? Any suggestions?

When I render my video I get a black bar on the left side of the screen
I just upgraded to FCS 2 and so far it's been a complete waste of money. I'm having nothing but problems with FCP, Compressor, and QMaster. I will just post my FCP problem here.
I've edited a weekly video podcast and everything looks great, until I render it and export it. When I render it, I get a constant, solid black bar on the far left of the video that takes up about 5% of the screen. My layers are definitely sized correctly to fill up the entire canvas, and they are all centered. I cannot figure out why I am getting this black bar or how to get rid of it without ditching the upgrade and going back to FCP5.1.
I have already tried completely uninstalling the FCS suite and reinstalling. No luck. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.Thanks for the reply.
My original source material is in Apple Intermediate Codec, with 32-bit float audio and a variable frame rate. This has not been friendly to FCP, so I use Quicktime to convert it to Apple ProRes with 24-bit audio and 29.97 frame rate. This is what I import into FCP.
My sequence settings are set to the same specs as my source material. 854x480, square pixels, no field dominance, Apple ProRes compression.
The black bar on the left side of the screen shows up before I even export. It shows up when I render everything.
I am exporting with Quicktime Conversion to:
MP4
h.264 codec
720x405
1000 video bit rate
Main Profile
No cropping/filters or anything.
The ONLY thing I did different before upgrading to FCP6 was that I used Apple Intermediate Codec all the way through. I was told by an FCP instructor that writes and publishes all kinds of FCP training material that I should upgrade to FCP6 and use the Apple ProRes422 Codec instead, so that's what I'm trying to do.
I am going back to restart my project using Apple Intermediate Codec all the way through like I used to, but it will be awhile before I can tell if that solved the problem. Either way, I would like to be using the ProRes codec....

I am getting the EXACT same problem. I started to watch an iTunes purchased TV Show episode back on February of 2014. I stopped after about 15 minutes to come back and watch it later.
Yesterday, I tried to continue the tv show, and NOTHING. All I get is a black screen with no audio. The time bar is advancing, so iTunes thinks it is playing. BUT NOTHING.
Can anyone assist with this problem?
PS: I use my iTunes on my PC only, and have for years without this problem.
PC is fully HDCP compliant.
