Getting an AE movie onto my Muse web page

Hi,
I created an animated header in AE CS4 for a web landing page. I then exported it as MOV, then brought it into PSD to create an animated GIF for that web page. There are too many artifacts, so now I have to figure out another way to get it onto the web page. Here's a mock-up of it:

I could embed it as MP4 but the problem is I don't want to re-encode the MOV file for fear that it will degrade the quality of it. I obviously could put it in a Flash file but then it would not play on non-Flash devices.
So I'm stumped. I'd appreciate it if anyone has any ideas on how to approach this. Any code snippets for the embedding or whatever would help too. Thanks.
PS - the website itself was made in Adobe Muse.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I just noiticed in AE that export as PNG so that would be a nice option.
I now have a SWF file on that test page. It looks better. However, one thing I'm stumped on is I cannot export from AE an MP4 file because it will not allow me to export to the actual size of the stage. Instead, it keeps telling me I can only export at NTSC or a television-sized file, not the 808x332 custom size I need it at.
Do you know why I cannot export to MP4? Any ideas on what I need to do to do that?
One more thing - is Edge free or do you have to pay for it?

FormsCentral won't help with flattening a form. You could set up the form in Acrobat so that the fields are set to read-only, using JavaScript. Not quite the same as flattening but it's the best Reader can do.
Note that when Reader is used to e-sign a document, it gets flattened, but this won't be possible if you need to Reader-enable the form and under certain other conditions.

Using Adobe muse you may create sites and export them as webpages locally or upload to hosting. However, I am afraid, there's no automated way to import Microsoft Publisher web pages into Adobe Muse. One alternative is place the Microsoft Publisher web page code using " Insert as HTML" and see if that helps.

Hi,
You can add your app to the Muse page using the Insert HTML feature in Muse. However, it depends on your hosting server whether or not the app will work. For example, if your app is in php and your server is configured for php, the app should work.

CanNOT get my itunes movies onto my iPhone...

I've tried every conceivable sync. These are not rentals but purchased TV shows.
What happened was - I am leaving on a business trip so with the iphone all synced up - I attached it to my laptop and synced so I would have the tv shows on the laptop - I only have 3 out of my 5 authorized copies at this point.
I had a weird die on my iPhone and then since my restore - I have it on my laptop and my desktop but no matter what I try I cannot get the movies back on my iPhone - go into the setting select all and selected episodes but nothing works.
Any suggestions? In a few hours I'll only have my laptop.

How do I get OT fonts to stop distorting on Web pages (in Internet Explorer)?

I created a great-looking newsletter in Adobe InDesign CS4 (I work for a very large organization and am still waiting for newer software, sorry). It used Adobe OpenType fonts including Myriad Pro, Myriad Pro Black, and Adobe Caslon Pro. I selected "Optimize for web use" when exporting it. Our Web team then placed the PDF on our web page, using FTP. When people viewed the PDF in Internet Explorer 9, (again, my organization is slow to change) the fonts either were distorted or did not even look like text. The same PDF looked fine in Google Chrome and IE 11. In addition to being held at ID CS4 and IE9, we are also at Acrobat Profession version 10.
I did three things to prevent this issue:
I reloaded the old PostScript versions of Myriad (from PageMaker) and Adobe Caslon into the Fonts subfolder of my InDesign application folder, to deal with the body text.
In InDesign, I clicked Edit, selected Transparency Flattener Presets, and created a new preset with the Convert All Text to Outlines box checked (see illustration below),
I created a new PDF Export preset, which compresses images down to 72, 72 and 150 DPI respectively but did NOT check the "Optimize for Fast Web View" box. I also did NOT check"compress text and line art" in the dialogue box. I temporarily set Compatibility down to Acrobat 4, and then selected the new "textoutline" transparency flattener preset that I made in Step 2. I then reset Compatibility to Acrobat 8 and saved the preset (the transp0arency flattener is now selected but grayed out).
This stopped the distortion. (We continued to use Myriad Pro Black as a headline font). However, PostScript fonts are 20th Century. How can I use Adobe OpenType fonts in the future instead of PostScript fonts?

Still trying to solve the problem. It may be one of my Acrobat job options. Any ideas on how to get Adobe OpenType fonts NOT to pixilate in PDFs created in InDesign CS4 viewed on the Internet in older versions of Internet Explorer?

How can I get the status bar back on my web page

I want to get the status bar on the bottom of the web page so that I can slide from left to right if an article is too large for my monitor. I had it this morning 1-5-15. After checking out Thunderbird as an option for my email, the bar disappeared after uninstalling Thunderbird. I know about hovering over the web pages I have on my menu bar, but I would rather have the entire bar at bottom of page.
The gray bar shows up in my email only. I would like to have it on all my websites.

Does the scroll bar appear if you maximize the window or possibly switch to full screen mode via F12?
You can try to open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize the window in case the current window is too high and the horizontal scroll bar falls off.
Try to open a new window in case there is a problem with the current window.
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted xulstore.rdf file.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

Get rid of bright white background on web pages

I need to change the background color behind text to something other than bright white to lessen the eye strain I'm experiencing. Although I can change the color in Windows 7, when I'm online web pages still have that white background, and for older eyes this is a problem.

You could try Options>Content>Fonts and Colors>Colors>Background.
Play around with this for a while. There aren't many suitable colors but I use a creamy white for blank pages. You can check or uncheck "Allow pages to use their own colors . . ."

Your movies should link to each other OK if you used
gotoNetMovie. Best way to be
sure is to test it. If anything goes wrong, you'll need to
check if there were
any scripting errors such as typos or incorrect path
referencing.
A web server is similar to your home computer. Files live in
folders and
subfolders and these will create the URL structure. For
eaxmple, a subfolder
called 'dean' may create the URL:
www.mysite.com/dean/
The HTM and DCR could be in the same folder or you may have
subfolders for page
content, which may include images. The HTM file points to
external files like
DCRs, images, video, and if these files are in a subfolder,
the HTM code needs to
specify this path reference.

I have used iTunes to convert a home movie to a mp4a file. How do I get it onto my iPad? I have tried dragging it. Does not work.

Fire up I photo on the Mac. Plug the pad in. ( make sure you are not automatically syncing to I tunes. ). On the left pane in I photo the pad will show up as a device. Click on it and it should show all new pictures on the pad. Select your video and at the top, click import selected.

I am having a hard time converting all of the videos I've taken of my kids from my iphone onto a dvd. I would like the videos to play consecutively as if we were watching home movies from our regular video recorder. How can I convert my videos to one dvd?

If the total playing time for all of the videos is less than 120 minutes create a slideshow in iDVD and add the movies to it in the order you want them to play. Select any slide duration time except manual. Do not add any music to the slideshow as it will override the audio in the video files and do not add any transition as it won't be a smooth transition.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
