Getting an error message when saving my artwork in Illustrator 10. (Some images inside)

So, I was working on this picture just finely, saving the progress...well, last night, when I went to save what I did before retiring for the night, I got the following error.
I don't know what the deal is, it forcs me to rename the darn file, so I end up with two copies of the same project, and I can't even delete the old one, because it gives me some jibber-jabber about the file being used by some program
And on a side note, I have another problem...you know when you have thumnail pictures of your .ai files in the My Computer while exploring the files in the folders? Well, I notice that sometimes that some of the file's thumbnails are scrambled and glitchy and look like this;
rather then this
I will load the scrambled one in, save as a new name, and try to delete and will get the error message as shown on the 2nd image of this post. I'm totally baffled! Even when I close the program, it still says it's in use....by what? I only use .ai files with Illustrator 10....and am tired of seeing my file's thumbnails go scrambled like that...makes it hard to see what the image is, if I don't recognize the file name.
Please, I need help.
Thank you kindly.

Hi cristinar,
By default, Ai CC is installed at below locations:-
Win64 -"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC (64 Bit)"
Win32-"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC" (on a 64bit machine) / "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC" (on a 32bit machine)
Just navigate to the location where AI is installed; right-click shortcut for AI and select 'Run as Administrator' to rectify the issue. You need to follow this step only once and not on every launch of AI CC.
Thanks.

I am using Lightroom 5.7, 64 bit with Windows 7 Professional. For no apparent reason, I now get an error message when I export a photo, say a raw image to a JPG. However, the exported image seems to be OK. But now I notice that my LR directory of folders in Library view does not show images correctly: If there is a folder with sub-folder(s), the folder will indicate 0 images, but the sub-folders show the proper number of images. What happened and is there a fix? I tried uninstalling Lightroom and re-installing, but problem persists.

  • I get an error message when I try to save my images in Photoshop CS6

I get an error message when I'm trying to save my images.  It reads as follows:
"Could not save because file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions or another file is using it"
The file is not locked (I unlocked the image as a layer), I am the administrator, and it wasn't being used elsewhere.
This has happened with all the images I've worked on in the past 90 minutes.  Has anyone got a solution?   I've never gotten this message before

Check that you actually have write permissions on the drive you are trying to save to.  They can an do get changed.

  • HT1386 I get an error message when I try to sync my iPod touch - "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation"

I recently installed a new hard drive on my PC, downloaded iTunes, updated the software on my iPod touch and now I get this error message when I try to sync:  "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation."  It never did this before, whether it's the upgrade in software or something in iTunes, but it's very frustrating, since I'd like to add more things to my iPod.

  • I get an error message when I sync my iPhone 5 with itunes on a Windows 7 laptop. When I go back to my music there are exclamation marks next to many songs. I have reinstalled iTunes

I get an error message when I sync my iPhone 5 with iTunes on my Windows 7 Samsung laptop.  I recently backed up all of my data using Samsung Recovery Solution 5 to an external hard drive so that I could restore my laptop.  I put all of my data back on the restored laptop and reinstalled iTunes. After the error message that says that certain items could not be found and the "sync" is finished I go back to my music in iTunes and there are exclamation marks next to many songs.  I follow some instructions regarding the Edit - Preferences - Advanced settings and the exclamation marks go away until I try to sync my phone again.  Then I get the same error message and the exclamation marks return.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and the same thing happens again.  I am about to schedule an appointment with the Genius Bar but would like to avoid that if possible.  Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hello Courtney,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when syncing your music to your iPhone.  It sounds like iTunes is not able to locate the original file for the song to transfer it to your device.  I recommend reviewing the following articles to locate you music files on your computer:

Please make sure to post the error message here, then we can help you decypher it.
You may want to make sure you're installing the right version of itunes.  If you have a 64bit system, you will need to make sure to download and install the 64bit version of iTunes.

I keep getting this error message when updating imovie "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (20).  Does anyone know how to fix?

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

  • I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the pick a username screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists...." despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the <pick a username> screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists.Only one account per email address is allowed on the Apple Support Communities" despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

This problem has been driving me demented. The instructions that Ivan gives have partially worked for me. By following his link
"How to find out if you have multiple Apple IDs" I was able to identify that yes I did have two apple accounts using the same e mail address. One was very old that I used to use for the forum boards and one is my much more recent ID that I use for everything these days. So I changed the e mail address for the old account which is associated with these discussion boards and that's the account that I am now posting this from. However even though the two accounts now have different e mail addresses when I try to log onto the boards with my more recent main apple ID I still get all the same errors as described at the start of this thread by rodgers_j. And of course that's the one I want to use so that I only have one itunes account for everything.
So if anyone has any more hints I'd be very grateful.

Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. I appreciate you taking the time to help me however I do not appreciate the caps and the way you have addressed the situation. If you are not going to kindly help people/make suggestions just don't try! And for the record my conclusions are not illogical, the iOS7 thing is on the website in small font (which I got by reading the ENTIRE thing) and you should really find a new hobby because your socialization skills need some help! • HT4943 Error during download - I keep getting this error message when installing or updating apps

I subscribed to wired magazine and I am trying to download the first mag, however I keep getting an error message stating "error during download, try again later". I also get an error message when trying to resume paused updating of apps. I've tried turning ipad2 off and then on again but this doesn't  work. Can anyone help?

There are all basic troubleshooting steps that have worked for other users in the past that were having problems downloading and updating apps. YMMV .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

I also found this in another post
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)
