  • I wish to get AppleCare Protection Plan and my Warranty expired a few days ago.

I got my iPod touch on 12th november 2011 as a prize in a Quiz Competetion. A few days ago I called apple customer support and they say my warranty is expired... According to them, the warranty started in February 2011 and has expired. I wish to get AppleCare Protection Plan and a customer support executive told me over the phone that I would get it but I got no follow up call. My Apple Support /case number is 292089289
I have got a dead pixel on my iPod and I wish to get it replaced. I hope something can be done.
    Thanking You

Check your warranty here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do .  If it truly as expired, there is nothing you can do ablut it.  You ca no longer extend the warranty.  Otherwise people would wait to see if their iPod needed service beforing buying the coverage.

  • Applecare missing registration number letter.

    Hey guys,
I recently bought the new top spec 27" iMac with a student discount, I also bought an applecare protection plan to go with it.
When it arrived, I was so excited I set it up and completely forgot about the Applecare I purchased with it. When I finally remembered that I had it, I thought I should set it up as soon as possible just in case!
Unfortunately, when I tried to register it online, it requires some sort of registration number or ID that apparently comes in the parcel it arrives in. When I opened the parcel all it contained was a CD and a manual. The manual says that the registration number is on a separate sheet. There is none. I opened it really carefully and there was none inside. I assume this is a packaging mistake on Apple's behalf, because they sent me a certificate via email yet I am still unable to register it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I cannot find a topic about this to email Apple directly.
    Thanks!
    Westy

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Have you tested your serial number at this page? I have heard that when you purchase a Mac and Apple Care at the same time that Apple automatically registers the Apple Care for you with the Mac. If it shows three years of coverage, then you are already registered. If only one year, as Carolyn says, call Apple.

  • Can I get Applecare Protection Plan even after the expiry of my base warranty of one year ?

I have just completed one year of my base warranty for my Macbook Pro 15'. I am thinking of going for Applecare Protection Plan however while checing online I realized that I can do that only when my base warranty is still in effect. Now as I have run out off that Can I still go for Applecare Protection Plan and is it really worth.

If your one year warranty has expired, then sorry you can't buy another 2 more years.
AppleCare certainly was worth it on my last MBP, it went in for a hard drive, optical drive replacement.
If you backup well, you should be able to take care of yourself.

  • Possible to get AppleCare Protection Plan just for Magic Mouse?

Purchased one separately two months ago, couldn't find Applecare protection plan solely for it anywhere on Apple website. Anyone know?

My suggestion: for such a relatively low-value item (in comparison to the products AppleCare is available for), you will be better off taking the amount of money you would be willing to pay and sticking it in a savings account, a money market account, or as part of a bank CD. Then, if something does go wrong, you'll have some cash to offset a repair or the cost of a replacement mouse. If nothing goes wrong, you'll have your original stake plus some earnings.

  • No registration card for AppleCare Protection Plan

I purchased my Apple TV about a month ago and I just now opened up the protection plan for it and noticed that there's no registration card for it. Did I just get a bad copy or is there somewhere that I'm not looking? For example, I notice that there's a white label on the bottom of the box that has some numbers with the words "Auto Enroll" next to them. Will these work or is my suspicion that I got a bad copy a reality?

That would seem to indicate that your AppleCare was set up automatically and no further action on your part is necessary. Auto-enroll is usual when purchasing AppleCare at the same time you purchase your product. You should be able to check the status by going to this web page:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do
and entering in the appropriate information. You'll then see the expiration of coverage for the unit. If it's more than one year from date of purchase of your Apple TV, you're good to go. You can also call AppleCare via the number that should be on the package.

After checking the web page that you provided and entering the information required, I got this message:
"Our records indicate that your product is covered for service and telephone support under the AppleCare Protection Plan which is estimated to expire on August 17, 2010."
It seems that I was automatically covered with the AppleCare from day one as I bought both the Apple TV and AppleCare at the same time at an Apple Store. Thanks Dave and to all of those who answered my question!

  • Where find the AppleCare Registration Number

I bought an AppleCare Protection Plan for my iPhone 4 in Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0037SV416/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details and later I received a box. But in the box I could not find the Registration Number. There are 2 books Errata for Canada and Getting Start Guide but no paper named Web Registration Instructions with Registration Number.

    Have you already purchase AppleCare?
If you purchase your AppleCare agreement at the same time as your hardware products from the Apple Online Store, the Apple Retail Store, or select Apple resellers, your AppleCare agreement may be automatically registered. To verify that your hardware is covered under the AppleCare agreement, click here.
To find the registration number of any of the boxed AppleCare agreements in the table below:
Check inside the original retail box or envelope of the agreement. Refer to the table below for images of the boxes.
Find a card or booklet called "Getting Started" or "Web Registration Instructions." This card or booklet will show your AppleCare agreement's registration number.
    Note:
If you do not have the retail box or envelope or cannot find the card or booklet inside, contact AppleCare Agreement Support with your original receipt (or purchase order) and the serial number of the product covered by the agreement.

  • My AppleCare protection plan wont register. I enter the number given and the correct serial number for my macbook but it wont work.

I have entered the correct registration number for protection plan and the correct serail number but it fails. I am outside calling hours (as I dont have protectionplan lol) and am eager to get it up and running.

Call AppleCare during regular hours and they'll register it for you. In the meantime, there is nothing for you to "get up and running" except your computer, and you don't need to register AppleCare to do that.

  • HT1349 how do I get the apple care registration number?

how do I get the apple care registration number?

If you purchased your iPad from Apple directly and bought AppleCare at the same time, the plan will have automatically been applied and you won't have a separate number you need to register.

  • Help getting help with iTunes (or, the elusive product registration number)

My almost brand-new iPOD classic is now useless because iTunes no longer works on my Vista 64. It was fine for a while. Now, when my computer starts up, I get an error message that reads:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes Error 7 (Windows error 14003).
I tried all the obvious stuff, and then decided, what the heck, I'm a paying customer, I'll get some online help for Apple. But much to my frustration and rage, I can't get any help without my product registration number. I can't read the microscopic number on the back of my iPod, and because i can't open iTunes, I can't find my registration number that way. Do you know, you can't even call Apple without the product registration number? So I can't get any help. I'm so frustrated. I got my iPod on Airmiles, so I don't even have a bill.
Is there any other way to find my registration number?

    hi dan,
i am using iWeb for a non .Mac account! the reason behind is that external hosters offer better online space and loading times than .Mac. Yet on the other hand, the iDisk, Web-Mail, Addressbook and iCal features that are offered with .Mac make the 99€ a year quite worthy!
i myself do not use .mac because my website is simply to large and the prices are not accepteable that .Mac offers for more space!
the next thing is that your .Mac account username will be in you URL and you cannot stay anonymous! your address will be something like this:
    http://web.mac.com/USERNAME
so now you will share your username with the whole wide world! the other thing is that iWeb was designed to work hand in hand with .Mac. This means that some cool feature fall off when you publish externally, meaning to a different host, eg.: 1and1, godaddy, strato. These features include Slideshows, Password-Protection, Blod-Search and other small things!
yet when you still choose to go for .Mac - no one will get your address unless you tell them what the address is! it is extremely hard to find, if not impossible, your .mac address under Google or Yahoo! So your username is somewhat protected!
    Here are some good hosters:
    http://godaddy.com
    http://1and1.com
    http://strato.de (german)
you practically have to also see for your country what hosters offer. 1and1 is extremely cheap and is over the world! Yet when you choose to have a external host - then you have to pay extra and if you close your .Mac account you cannot buy music in the itunes store!
here is a very good FTP program to upload your files to a different host:
    http://cyberduck.ch
    http://karreth.com/iweb/Host%20To%20Other%20Than%20.Mac.html
    i hope that helped!
    max
