Getting Apps from the Apps Store while overseas (3rd world Asian country)
Hello,
We were planning on getting an iPad in the USA. We then plan on taking it to a country in Asia. This country doesn't officially sell iPads yet, but they sell iPhones.
What will it be like to buy or freely get Apps onto the iPad. Do you need a US I.P. address? Do you need a US-based credit card to buy non-free apps?
All information would be great.

Same problem here in Brazil.
It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

No, you can also add digital rights free epub books to the iBooks app or PDFs. If you buy books from other stores (e.g. Amazon, Nook, Kobo etc) then they will probably have digital rights management on them which will tie those books to the store's own apps/ereaders e.g. ebooks from Amazon can only be read in Kindle apps and Kindle ereaders - so before you buy an ebook from another site check to see if the have own iPad app or if they can be read in another app.

Yes. Sell the phone and buy a newer one. That is the only way you can get it upgraded.

Buying Items from the US store while I am in Canada
Hi all,
I tried to use the search function..but was unable to find the info.
I got my new Ipod video on Friday.. and much to my disgust.. I found out that the TV shows and ALOT of videos I can't get in Canada.
Is there away around this? I can put a friends address in but then my credit card billing address won't work. Can I buy a U.S Gift certificate online or at an Apple store and use it in the U.S store?

while trying to sync with my iphone I recieve the message: This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone “Terri George’s iPhone”. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? When I put in my password and hit authorize, I get a message telling me there was an unknown error (-50). Would love to sync today. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a synopsis:

These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:

Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.

How can I purchase products from the app store while travelling outside my country of residence? We are from Canada, travelling in the USA and wish to buy a TV series but get a message to buy it from the Canadian store. When we tried to do this we got the same message.
According to the terms of sale, you have to be in your country of residence in order to make a purchase. I've heard of people able to make purchases outside their country and also of people being unable to do so. It appears that Apple's enforcement is not 100%.
In order to buy from the U.S. iTunes Store, you would need to have a valid billing address in the U.S., a credit card billed to that address or an iTunes Gift card purchased in the U.S. and be physically present in the U.S. at the time of purchase.
International copyright law is currently very inconvenient for the consumer.

While I'm using facebook in my iPad with Safari browser,sometimes it will just switch to main menue.It also happened with the Facebook apps from the apple store. And the color of the bookmark area becomes black instead of a normal grey color.
Then if you have tried all the browsers try connecting the system to yoour router with an Ethernet cable and turn WiFi off. If you have the same problem then it more then likely after your computer, Router or modem or connection from your ISP.
If you get good browsing with the Ethernet cable then it is either the WiFi card in your Mac or the WiFi system in your router. -
hello i just came back from the apple store and they had to restore my phone and i just downloaded all my apps and music back but my photos that are on icloud i only got 80 out of 768 back. what do i do to get all of them back?
If you tried to restore to your iCloud backup and your photos didn't fully restore, first go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure it isn't still in the process of restoring.
If the restore is complete and all your photos weren't restored, all you can do is try restoring the backup again. You might try the solution posted by ezjules in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This involves opening the photos app after the phone restarts and you provide the passwords for your Apple IDs, then leaving it open for the remainder of the restore process. -
How can I get the iBook app on my Mac to backup ePubs I created with Pages on my iPad? Only seems to want to work with purchased books from the ibook store. The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. I may have to do that if there is no other way, but I am hoping someone will have the answer for me. Pretty disappointed in iBooks app for Mac at this point.
iBooks only syncs purchased books. Others must be synced in iTunes.

Apps from the iTunes store are only for ios based devices. ie iPad or iPhone
If you want an app for your Macbook use the App Store on the toolbar and you can purchase a mac version if it exists. -
