Your suspicion is correct. Although it is a minitower based on the Catalyst board that was otherwise used in desktop 7200s, the 8200 is like the 8100, 8500 and 9500 at least, and others that I wot not of, in that the logic board stands vertically on the right (as you look from the front). You must undo the four captive screws at the rear, crack the joint with the metal case, slide the case forward slightly and then lift it up and off.
While the Mac stands there in its smalls you must remove the daughter card and PCI cards; and SCSI, audio, power, floppy drive and whatever cables from the top edge of the logic board. Out with the front power switch, which has a retainer for the logic board, and then the screw holding the brace for the board. Now you can winkle the board clear of four notch-and-lug retainers by moving it forward a tad, and then swing it outwards and away from the chassis.
I know of no manual for the 8200, but that for the NuBus 8100 from here is close, even though the 8100 is based on the Cold Fusion board. I do suggest that you replace the backup battery while you have the board out.

i was holding on to the app till it jiggled and i press the x ,so then it disapered but i want to know if i got my memory back

You'll get back the memory used by the App itself, but more than likely not the App's data.

  • Modifying the memory of the Express LUT function at runtime

Is it possible to get at the memory block of the express Lookup Table 1D function.  I can code the equivalent routine but can't get single cycle execution.  I would like the LUT function to reference a global memory block so that I can update the waveform during runtime while keeping single cycle loop execution speed.

You can't. There is no memory card. It uses flash memory that's soldered to the logic board. If you didn't back it up, your data is gone.

Any ideas on what to do next?
    I'm running and iMac 20-inch  early 2009
Processor  2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB
    Software  OS X 10.8.4 (12E55)

    Step 1
Quit Calendar. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Calendars/Calendar Cache
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a file named "Calendar Cache" selected.
Move the selected file to the Trash. There may be one or two other files in the same folder with names that begin in "Calendar Cache". If so, delete those files too.
    Step 2
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash as well:
    iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
    Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders. It may take some minutes for ODS to list all the files.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

my iPod touch needs to be restored. however, all of my movies/apps/songs/photos are not backed up on my computer because the shop on my computer does not work. can i still get the memory on my iPod touch 32gb back?

If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
    Good luck.

This is a rather important issue, I have seen another post with a similar problem.
While not being a show-stopper it certainly raises concerns.
The application works ok until the application exits (in both development and
    executable form)
Apparently this did not happen with Tux 7.1
It does with 8, I do not have 7.1 so I have no workaround.

  • ITunes used to have a bar that showed me what content on my iPad was taking up the memory.  The bar is gone.  How do I get it back?

Have to say, I've been messing with this for 30 minutes just trying to figure out how to post a question.  Very frustrated.
How do I get back the bar that iTunes used to have which showed me what content on my iPad was eating up memory?  The iPad itself doesn't seem to show that, I had to hook to iTunes to see it. Now that's gone.

I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone.  Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

  • I connected a digital camera memory chip with approximately 100 photos on it. The photos showed up in iPhoto. I believe I deleted the photos from the memory chip before importing them. Is there any way I can get the photos back?

  • How can I get the memory allocation info of a java thread?

Now I am going to write a program to monitor the execution condition of the java threads. But it seems that the classes in standard edition of JDK does not provide facilities to get the information such as the memory allocation and CPU time of a running thread. How can I do with it? Can I use JNI or JVMDI to get them? If it could do, how?

Thanks a lot. I just browsed the specification of jvmpi. It is interesting and it seems that I can get the information I need. However, if I want to get the information in my program, I mean, if I want to build a class which may use JNI method to invoke the function written with JVMPI, and then forward the data to other upper layer objects, can it be done?
