Getting back lost images

Hi , my friend erased his image folder, all his photos etc....
I told him that there is no way to get it back, no back up, nothing.
Is there some way to get it back?

Do you mean his Pictures folder? If so his images are gone. He can try a file recovery program:
Subrosasoft Filesalvage
Prosoft Data Rescue
He must not add any files or content to the hard drive least he overwrite the sectors where the files were.

If you did not backup the contents to iCloud, there is no way to recover material from a lost/stolen iOS device. You have to have it in your possession to get material off the iPod.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comuter for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases form an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases.
In the U.S only you can use the recently released icloud beta version. open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links

I did the latest update and lost all my apps. It was not synced before the restore. How can I get my apps back that I paid a lot of money for? They are not showing up as purchased. As long as there is not another instance of that app on the device, you should. Just keep in mind, that as apps require updating, you'll have to sign in with different id's to update. Depending on how many apps and overall content is installed on your device, this could become confusing.

How "Get Back" Lost Internal ("Macintosh HD") Drive?

I already have a thread on the forum, but I thought I'd start a separate thread to address a very limited, but perplexing, question:
After unsuccessfully running Disk Repair from the Installation disc, I "lost" my internal drive (called "Macintosh HD", I believe). That is, it doesn't appear in my list of devices in Finder, doesn't appear in the list of devices in Disk Utility and doesn't appear on my desktop.
The disk probably needs to be repaired, but I can't do anything until I get the drive back. It's as if it was ejected (which it wasn't).
Can anyone tell me how to get it back?

Worth checking Finder preferences. Click on the desktop Finder>Preferences>General and make sure there is a tick against 'Hard Disks', then click on the Sidebar tab and make sure Hard Disks is ticked. Not sure this will solve your problem but it's a good starting point.
To repair the disk you will need to startup from your OSX install disk - disk in drive and startup holding down the 'C' key. After the 'choose your language' screen from the Menu Bar select Utilities>Disk Utility then select your Macintosh HD (hoping it's listed) and 'repair disk'

Help, I need to get back lost text messages??

My phone broke in Jan, it froze and would not allow me to do anything with it. I wasn't thinking at the time about all my data because I knew the phone backed everything up. Also I had a certain amount of messages saved to phone. Since they sent me a new phone, I was able to retrieve all of my pictures, I was not able to get those text messages. I really need them. Does Verizon hold on to messages for a certain amount of time for legal reasons? Any help would be great, thank you Lisa .

I'm sorry to hear about your phone, I know how hard it is to know messages have been lost since I keep most of mine. I'm glad you now have a replacement and pictures restored. Unless you had an appliation to backup your messages, the messages can't be restored. You can access your messaging history(date, time, number) from My Verizon, but no content is available.

Get back preview image color

When I first load photos into lightroom I get a quick preview than looks like a JPEG? A second later after the image has time to load the color will change. I'm guessing that I'm seeing a JPEG preview then I'm getting what the RAW image looks like? If that is the case, is there anyway to get that preview color back without exporting as a JPEG?

Yes - adjust the Develop settings as you please. If you like the JPEG you might try a camera matching profile if you have a compatible camera.

How to get back lost mail and Shutdown problems?

Dear Apple Users and Support,
I recently did an idiotic thing and managed to turn one of my mail boxes where I collected mail from 2-3 of my friends totally into junk. I remember highlighting all the message and was attempting to move them to a new mailbox/folder but then accidentally hit JUNK. Nothing happened so I assumed that I was alright. But when I opened my MAIL app yesterday I noticed all those messages were gone. I'm assuming they were marked as JUNK and due to my settings erased them when I quit the program.
So my question is, how can I get those letters back? I had time machine back up about a week ago. Which would mean I would only lose like 5-6 messages total in the end. Is there a way I can use TIME MACHINE to get a specific inbox back in my MAIL?
Also, my other option I think is because I pull my mail from the Gmail server and I leave the mail in Gmail, I might be able to pull all the messages that are still sitting on Gmail with the addresses that I need. Is there a way I can tell my MAIL to get all the messages from certain addresses off the server again from Gmail? I assuming there's a parameter that shuts down after retrieving the mail the first time, because otherwise it would constantly pull the same messages off the gmail server.
Finally, for the past year, my MAIL app has been acting up, and I can never "Quit" out of it as normal. I usually have to Force Quit out of Mail to shut it down. Like 90% of the time it wont' shut down without me Force Quitting it. Any suggestions to stop this problem?

In your case, immediately stop using this phone memory card in case of further data loss and then, try to use take chances with some data recovery programs.
I have ever had some data recovery success with the guidance of this video tutorial.
Of course, also learn a lesson to make data backups all the time.

With no backup to restore from:
- If you used PhotoStream then try getting photos from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
- If you used iCloud then setting up the iPod with the same same iCloud account should bring the notes back.

Getting back original image

Hello.
I am using Labview 2010 version to develop a program to load an image and process them using threshold. I would like to compare the original image with the threshold image. Can anybody help me to show me some guides how to find back the original image because what I got is a blank image? Below is the attachment of my coding.

raw files never have their data altered, that's one of the advantages of using them. Select the file in Bridge and go to Edit->Develop Settings->Clear Settings to wipe all the edits that you made to it
