Getting Back Music That I Bought
All Music that I bought was lost because I didn't save it on a flash drive. My last computer crashed and I want to download all that I lost. How would I do that?
Use the form on this page to request a free redownload, or use the Transfer Purchases feature if applicable. If neither of these works, you will need to purchase the content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts, album artwork, and iPod touch/iPhone applications.

My old computer died on me with no warning signs. I didn't know or need to copy my music to another computer. I lost my iTunes library on my pc when the hard drive crashed. None of the data on the drive was recoverable and I did not have a backup either locally or on the cloud. Much of the music is from old vinyl and podcasts which are no longer available.
How can I get the music that resides on my ipod nano (4th generation) back onto the new hard drive on my pc.
I have been reluctant to install iTunes on the new hard drive out of fear that I will lose all the contents on the ipod if I try to synch to the new hard drive.

THANKSSorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications. It's your responsibility to make backup copies (as iTunes itself advises) in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your hard drive was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod, iPhone or iPad, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you have your tracks on an iPod et. al. or have them backed up, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.

So my family used to share an itunes account and I bought music on that account. Now I have my own itunes account and my own ipod but I'm having trouble authorizing my computer to play the music that I bought on this old account. The email address for the account is dead because it was attached to mindspring. So basically how do I get this music without buying it all again?
There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them: -
I have been researching and trying different apps all night and I've ended up spending four dollars that I ended up wasting. I'm sure there's a very easy answer. I have an iPad, it is the newest iOS software, my question is, is there anyway to get the music that I've downloaded on say Amazon or that I've made via my MusicStudio app to show up in my music on my iPad without having to then download it to my computer to get on iTunes to transfer from my computer to my iPad again? I've got the music on my iPad, but both of the apps that I use to make a video with the music just use the native music app to search for the music on the iPad and shows the some 69 songs that I've either downloaded via iTunes or transferred from my laptop to my iPad. it won't show any of the other stuff that is on there. Is there any app that I could get that will help me to add music to my native music app so we'll show up or is there anything I can do other then transferring it from iTunes on my laptop back to my iPad?

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone . The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

Firstly iTunes and iCloud are different things, movies are handled by iTunes.
iTunes now has iTunes in the cloud and iTunes Match, but neither deals with movies. Your purchased movies will need to be copied from your old computer to your new one. -

If the music you lost during the sync process is no longer on the iPod, in your iTunes library, or in a backup elsewhere, I'm afraid you are out of luck.
You may be able to redownload any lost purchases via iCloud (pending you live in a country where iCloud has gone live).

In the History Panel (on the left) of the Develop Module, click on any previous edit to see what the photo looked like at that step.
If you are going to regularly want to see two versions of edits on a single photo, consider using either virtual copies or snapshots. -

When you say "2 minutes ago" was that literally 2 minutes ago, or did the page stay idle for some time? The page does not automatically update and continues to show the times of posts when last opened. If you leave the page and return to it, it will then update (reload) with new elapsed times.
Questions and replies come thick and fast. Perhaps the thread has been pushed down the page by newer posts. It could have been pushed to another page. Click on the Next button (top and bottom of page). "Next" is actually older posts (they are stored in descending time order).
